It's the cloak, she muses.

The stupid, red-like-WHOA, signature, awesome cloak she hates and loves, and wants to tear to pieces while fixing.

It's the cloak.

Then Helpless Romanic kicks in and decides it's not the cloak because the cloak is pure GROSSNESS.

It's the eyes.

The killing, one-look-can-smite-you-or-make-you-feel-high, amazing, addictive eyes she can float and drown in, and the ones she wants to hide from and run to.

It's the eyes.

No way in creation the eyes are way too cliché, says the cynic, it's the demons.

The bloodthirsty, saved-me-more-times-than-I'll-ever-admit, cool, scary demons she idolizes and damns and wants to remove but keep.

It's the demons.

Are you as crazy as they say? The demons you can't take. The Kleptomaniac tramples over all others; it's the guns of course.

The threatening, this-barrel-is-the-last-thing-you-will-ever-see, shiny, deadly guns that she trusts with her life and wouldn't trust as far as she could throw and wants to stay away from and wants to steal.

It's the guns.

No, no, no, the guns aren't really a part of him. Caring has pushed them all out of the way, it's the regret.

The infuriating, Gawd-can't-you-just-get-OVER-IT, kinda endearing, damn all Scientists regret she worries over and couldn't care less and wants to ignore until it goes away and love out of him forcefully.

It's the regret.

And by the times she regains control of her own mind she has decided it's none of this and all of it.

It's none of it because she hates long clothing, and red eyes and scary things and heavy guns and regret.

It's none of it because long clothes are hard to run in and red eyes are a dead giveaway when you're undercover and she's seen enough scary things to last three lifetimes and the Conformer owns all other weapons especially heavy guns and regret is for weaklings who never learned life moves on.

It's all of it because she loves cloaks and red eyes and scary things and heavy guns and regret.

It's all of it because cloaks are ideal for hiding and red eyes are the bomb and she's an adrenaline junkie who LIVES for scary things and heavy guns make her feel powerful and regret is a sign they're still human enough inside to care at all.

So when it's none of it and all of it, what is it?
