I decided some more Smitchie fluff could never hurt. And it can't. I'm serious. Anyway… Now that my weird moment is over, let's move on with the story, 'kay? Enjoy! Oh, and BTW, this would be what happens before 'I Found You'.

Mitchie swung her legs as she sat on the dock. The sun was just setting, and it was getting a bit chilly, but she didn't mind, because soon she was going on a canoe ride with Shane. Shane, with the amazing voice and cute eyes. Shane, who made her feel incredible.

Not talking to him for the past couple of days had been horrible. Ask Caitlyn, she'd been a mess. But now everything was fine and dandy and nothing could go wrong. Nothing at all.

She hummed a song under her breath, and looked out into the water. I can't believe I just spent my summer at Camp Rock, she thought. It really was the most amazing place in the world. True, she didn't actually spend the entire time learning about music. More like learning about Tess and her eternal ruling over the entire camp, she thought somewhat bitterly. But how mad could she be, when Shane was going to show up any minute now?

Or he should be. But after waiting for fifteen minutes, Mitchie had to come down from the clouds and realize that he wasn't coming. Angry, she stood up and went over to her cabin, where Tess, Peggy and Ella were having a "sleep-over".

"Mitchie!" cried Ella when she saw her. "Come hang out with us,"

Mitchie shook her head, deciding to turn down the invitation. "Sorry, guys," she said. "I have to help my mom clean up in the kitchen." It was a lie, but she might as well go help out. She knew her mom needed it.

On her way to the kitchen, she walked by Shane's cabin, and thought about seeing if he was there, but decided against it. He'd ditched her, after all. Why should she go see him?

"Hey, mom, you need any help?" she asked when she arrived at the kitchen. She saw Caitlyn bringing in things from the Mess Hall, and waved at her.

"Sure, sweetie, just help Caitlyn with all those things," Mitchie went to the Mess Hall, where she saw there were people, lots of people. Reporters, most likely. And in the middle of it all were Shane, Nate, and Jason. Mitchie avoided looking that way and grabbed some more plates, carrying them into the kitchen.

Her mom was sweeping the floor, but to avoid going back to the hall, she grabbed the broom and started doing it herself. After a couple of minutes, her mom let her and Caitlyn go.

"Hey, Mitchie," Caitlyn said. "You wanna sleep over at my cabin? I heard Tess and all of them talk about a sleep over."

"Yeah, thanks," she answered, feeling grateful. Caitlyn would know she didn't want to be there right now.

Fifteen minutes later, the sound of a guitar strumming distracted them from their "girl-bonding time", which was what Caitlyn had called it, making fun of Tess. Caitlyn got up from where she had been sitting and went to the window. She gasped, and called Mitchie over.

"What is it?" Mitchie asked. She stood up and walked to the window, only to see Shane standing under it, playing This Is Me.

He smiled at her and kept singing, motioning for her to come out. Mitchie looked at Caitlyn, who was laughing quietly at the levels of cheesiness of this situation.

Mitchie shook her head, smiling at him so he would know that she wasn't mad. He might make her feel incredible, but you know what? He would have to wait.
