LOL. HEY GUYS. HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN? A YEAR? LOL.

Uhh, hey, everyone, I'm sorry for not updating my other fic, but to be honest, I can't continue it 'cause it really really sucks. XD I'm thinking about rewriting it, but I don't know. But for today, I present to you a oneshot for my year-long absense. (x

Hikari looked up as she felt a raindrop on her cheek

Hikari looked up as she felt a raindrop on her cheek. She held out her hand and watched a tiny puddle form in the palm of her hand. She smiled,

The rain is really nice...

She continued her walk, and as minutes passed by, the rain began to increase heavily. She didn't mind much though, it had been a while since the last rainfall, and she liked the way it felt when she stood under the rain.

She was only a couple of yards away from her house when she noticed him. She could easily recognize him, that purple haired boy with the furrowed eyebrows. He was standing in the rain unmoving, just looked at the sky. She watched him stand there, and she somehow found herself walking towards him.

"Shinji? What're you doing? It's raining, you'll catch a cold this way." she asked, ignoring the fact that she had spent at least ten minutes in the cold rain herself.

He slowly turned and looked at the girl before answering, "I'm fine, I won't catch a cold."

Hikari looked up at him, seeing slightly red and puffy eyes. She blinked in shock, her eyes looking at his wet face. "Sh-shinji.. a-are you okay? ..Are you crying..?"

He averted his gaze and quickly replied, "No, I'm not. Guys don't cry, Hikari. It's the rain."

Hikari felt a tiny pang in her heart. She understood. She walked closer to him and tightly wrapped her arms around his torso.

"Shinji.. it's okay.. it's okay to cry."

"I'm not crying.."

"Don't bottle up your feelings. It's okay to cry.. Let it all out.. it's okay.."

"I'm.. not-"

"It must be hard to be you.. having to hide your feelings like this.." she looked up at him in the eyes,

"But don't do it anymore, let it out, because it's okay to cry."

Hikari's eyes began to water, as if she was feeling his pain. The pain of having to keep all your feelings inside. The pain of not having anyone to talk to. All the loneliness he had..

Shinji looked in shock at her. Within a few minutes, she had been able to almost completely see through him. With just that one sentence he said, she knew what he had been going through.

He hesitantly hugged her back in the embrace, and rested his forehead on her shoulder.

"Stupid girl.. you act stupid, you look stupid, and you do so many stupid things, and everything about you is stupid.."

Hikari continued to stay in her position, hugging him; supporting him. The hurtful words didn't faze her at all. She would be there for Shinji, he needed it. Shinji continued speaking,

"But you're able to see through me. And I can stop pretending when I'm with you."

Shinji got up, but still in her embrace.

"Because even if I do, you can see everything."

He leaned down and kissed her on the cheek as a thank-you, and hugged her again.
Hikari smiled. How was it that he had been able to insult her but sound so sweet doing it?

Oh well, it didn't matter that much. Not this time. They stood under the pouring rain, just hugging each other, not caring if they looked stupid with their clothes being completely drenched.

SO? GOOD? BAD? GOT BETTER AT WRITING PERHAPS? x) I'm sorry it's short.
