The crowds bustled about, all caught up in their own lives. The little, four-year-old, pink-haired girl was lost from her mother and father, alone amidst the frighting faces of strangers. She cluthced the brown shopping bag they let her carry with tears streaming down her face. "Mommy! Daddy!" she called only to get no reply. She sniffed loudly as she gave up and just stood there, bawling.
"Aw, did wittle Sakura lose her mummy and daddy?" a taunting voice asked behind her.
She whipped a tear away and turned around. Sasuke Uchiha stood there, smirking down at the short little girl.
"I know, we could put a search light on that big forehead of your's," he suggested as he poked her forehead, making her take an involuntary step backward.
She whipped more tears away with the back of her hand. Her face turned red with rage. "Sasuke!" she growled furiously. He ran away before she punched him.

The darkness was everywhere. Four years later and the girl was eight but still feared the dark. She carried the garbage bag over her shoulder as she walked through the long darkness toward the dumpster. A stray cat rustled in the shadows that escaped the lamppost. Sakura screamed and dropped the garbage bag.
"Is wittle Sakura scared of the dark?" a taunting voice called from the shadows.
Sakura shivered as she waited for the figure to reveal himself. Sasuke Uchiha emerged, smirking at her from the distance. "You'd think that bright pink hair would light everything," he chuckled.
Forgetting the dark and the garbage bag, she charged at him. "Sasuke!" she growled. He stepped away as she lept at him. The outcome of that was her landing on her face on the hard dirt. Still chuckling, Sasuke jumped onto the roof tops and lept away through the night.

The sun shined down, glistening on the pink hair. The trees were surrounding her and her comrades. The twelve-year-old girl closed one eye, tong out, and aimed the kunai at the target on a far away tree. Complete consentration. Her teammates lounged on the grass behind her, watching without much interest. Previous stabs were on the target from their turns. Now it was her chance to prove she could do as well as them.
She then swung her arm and let go once it was straight. Her eyes were closed as she awaited the sound of metal piercing wood. She peeked out of one eye when she heard no sound. There, two feet away, lay the kunai, glinting in the sunlight.
"Wittle Sakura can't even through a kunai," Sasuke taunted behind her. "Maybe if she wasn't so short, she could throw better."
"Sasuke!" Sakura growled as she turned around. He was already up on a tree branch, smirking down at her, tong sticking out. Sakura had no climbing abilities. So Sasuke was safe.

The seventeen-year-old Sakura was sitting at the ramen shop, Naruto and Sasuke on either sides of her. She already finished her ramen, Naruto having seconds, and Sasuke just wasn't hungry. She stared down at her math paper with determination to complete it. She glided her pencil over it, leaving her neat hand writing in place where the open blanks awaited answers.
Two days later and she got the paper in the mail, as did Naruto and Sasuke. The were all back at the ramen shop, waiting to read their scores. Sasuke, as always, got an A plus. Naruto didn't do as bad as usual. And Sakura... failed miserably. She slammed the paper on the table, stood up, and ran away, very sad.
She walked in an abandoned alley, holding back tears. "Poor wittle Sakura failed her math test," Sasuke taunted beside her. "You would have passed if you weren't so stupid."
She came to a dead halt and glared fiercely at him. "Sasuke!" she growled as she threw a punch toward his face.
But he caught her fist in his hand and pulled her close to him. "Sakura," he smirked down at her.
With no further ado, the two crushed their lips against eachother's.
