Bart Simpson always felt like he was on top. No matter what, he always reined king, or so it seemed. He could always slip and slide past his parents into accomplishing whatever he pleased. He failed to see their care most of the time, anyway.

But then, he had to come into his life.

It was during his freshman year that Bart began to notice changes. For example, all of his friends, in a blunt fashion, ditched him. They all got hooked on drugs, and lost the feel for real friends. His mother and father had given up hope on him. They didn't admit it, of course, but that was the truth.

With the lack of love, plus the stress of daily life on his back, Bart's ego began to deflate. He wasn't depressed, but… he just felt like he couldn't get away with everything anymore.

It wasn't until he showed up the he started feeling better. Bart's stomach still churned at the sight of his red, curly hair as the adult held him close. The teen's glance shifted for the cold snow below him, to that insane face; the one that kept him warm; that tried to murder him in the past; that, surprisingly, kept both sane.

The older face brushed softly against the other's cheek as he held him tight. The snow formed to water by his touch as a soft whisper was heard, "Don't worry, Bart. I won't kill you, not tonight."

But his devilish smirk still remained in his mind. "But, make no mistake, I will as time goes on."
