08/23/09: Just fixed up the spacing and different things. Man...I wrote this so long ago. This was my first story posted though...so it holds a special place in my heart! Thanks for reading.

Kai was wondering for the millionth time in the last few weeks, as to why he had let himself be talked into this.

Why damit why?!

He was ready to pull his hair out and scream, although the great Kai Hiwatari would never actually do such a thing. To the outside world he was just looking like his normal surly self. Even though some would say he seemed to be emitting a slightly deadly aura. (Someone had once said that to him at a signing. Stupid freak.)

Kai stared out one of the front room windows of his manor, as a large moving van pulled up. In it, were Ray, Tyson, and Max. For some reason he couldn't quite remember they had thought it would be a great idea to move in together and because he had the largest house, they had picked his.

He thought back to the day when they had come up with this…bright idea...

Kai walked into the dojo to find his fellow team mates seated on the floor deep in discussion. Even Tyson was paying attention, so something had to be up and the smirk on World Champion's face didn't bode well with him.

He leaned back against the wall, when they wanted to tell him they would, and there was no way he was joining their little circle of idiots.

Every few minutes someone would glance back at him, and then quickly look away when he met their gaze. He caught words like "He'd never let us.", "we'll have to send in the big guns." And "I'm hungry."

He sighed. Stupid, hopeless Tyson.

They all seemed to nod, as if agreeing on something and stood up to face him. It was Tyson who started speaking first. "Kai, we've been thinking," he started before Kai interrupted him.

"Wow Tyson, you thinking? What is the world coming to?"

Ray tried and failed to hold in a slight snicker. Tyson glared at him but continued, "Well, um…Max's mom has gone to Europe for the next few months and Ray's apartment isn't up to his standards, and I'm tired of my Gramps bugging me all the time so… we've…

decidedwewannamoveinwithyou."

The last few words came out in a rush but Kai got them loud and clear. They wanted to move in with him.

The mere thought made his left eye twitch slightly, though only Ray seemed to notice, as he backed away. He could just picture it, his fridge completely empty, his house in turmoil, the rooms with crap and garbage piled so high that the maids would quit.

The chef cracking under the stress of Tyson's demands and fleeing the house under the cover of night. The landscaping ruined from beybattles that Tyson was too lazy to move to one of the dishes in the back court. The repair costs from their idiotic rough housing and with all the t.v Tyson watched the rocketing cable prices. UGH! And the paper view charges.

There was no way in hell; sure he could handle Ray moving in. He kept to himself and was considerate enough to clean up after himself. Max…the manor was rather large, so there were enough rooms so that he could lose the blonde when needed. But Tyson, nothing could stop him. There would be no break; he would be with him twenty-four-seven.

All day, everyday.

"Oh god, I'd rather go back to the abbey," he thought.

He suddenly realized that someone was shaking him and calling his name. As he came back to reality he saw Ray's worried face in front of him as he shook his shoulder, "Hey Kai are you okay?" he asked. "You weren't breathing there for a minute, plus you kind of spaced out."

He let out a breath he hadn't realized that he was holding and knocked away Ray's hand.

"There is no way in hell you guys are moving in with me. I don't care where you go, but you're not living with me," he stated aggressively.

He would shoot himself if they moved in with him. Even he had his limits, and a few days of them in his house and he would surely reach them. Ray nodded to Max, who timidly stepped towards him.

"But Kai," he whispered sadly. "I have no where to go and Ray's not happy at all, and Tyson's my best friend."

He then looked at him with those big blue orbs he called eyes. A few tears even escaped them, as he continued to stare up at him those his blonde lashes.

"Oh no, not the eyes," Kai inwardly screamed. Max's eyes had to power to make anyone submit to his will, it had even worked on Tala a few times. And nothing normally got to the red headed Russian. After a few moments Kai sighed as he tried to prepare himself for what was to come,

"Fine you can move in with me."

Max immediately wiped away his tears and smiled. "Gee, thanks Kai!" he half yelled energetically.

"Yeah, whatever. God, where's a gun when you need one?" he wondered aloud.

Tyson stopped his hugging of Max, and Ray broke off mid laugh to look at him oddly, and that was his que to leave.

It was always interesting to him that whenever you receive bad news, or are on you're way to do something you'd prefer not to, you seem separated from the people around you. As if you no longer belong with them, because you're marked in some way. And now he was marked again, for soon the Bladebreakers would be living with him.

People had always said he was anti-social, and yet here he was letting three people move in with him (even if they'd used Max to gain the upper hand). He'd have to lock up some of the rooms he didn't wish for them to venture into…like the gallery. If Tyson broke one of his mother's pieces Kai would have to kill him. There was also the weapons room...or rooms. The wine cellar might need to be closed off also, you never knew with Tyson.

His parent's old room would have to be locked, only he and one of the maids ever ventured in there, and there was no way anyone else would be any time soon. He would probably have to give all of the staff raises and extra vacation time. Hell, he might need to get an in house therapist for them.

Damn, this was going to suck.

______________________________

And that was how it had happened. The weeks had blown by and all preparations had been made. The rooms he'd wished to be locked were, and the staff had been warned and given a healthy raise. The therapist he had hired would come every Tuesday at 4 o'clock. If things went badly he might even have to use those services himself.

The moving van pulled up the long drive along with a pick up truck filled with movers. The van had barely stopped when Tyson hopped out, dragging Max with him. Ray just shook he head, said something and got out in a much more calmly manner.

The front door was thrown open as Tyson happily yelled, "Kai, buddy we're here!"

Sure to others it sounded happy, but to Kai it was one of the most ominous things he'd ever heard.

What had he gotten himself into?

He slowly made his way to the front hall, feeling as if each step was bringing him closer to his own personal hell. He saw that the movers were already getting down to business and doing what they were paid for.

Tyson sat there gaping, before opening on of the closet doors as if evaluating its size. Max and Ray were both slipping off their shoes. Kai coughed a little to get their attention, "You may pick your own rooms; I don't care which one as long as you stay away from the locked and closed doors. The others are open to you."

Ray and Max nodded, as Tyson raced up the spiral staircase that led to the second floor.

"Kai," Ray started. "I have to thank you again for this. I know it's a huge thing for you, so I'll help to make it as easy for you as possible. Which means I'll trying to reign Tyson in." he said with a smile, Max nodding in agreement.

Kai just nodded, but heard loud crashes and bumps coming from the second floor. He glared up at the stairs questioningly.

Ray grabbed a box labeled basement from the doorway and left, while Max smiled awkwardly before grabbing one labeled living room and leaving as well. There was another bang from upstairs, so Kai went to see if one of the movers had dropped something, or worse knocked something over.

That…or Tyson was up to something.

As he walked along the hall that was open to the downstairs entrance way, he realized the noise was coming from his own bedroom. Then it hit him, he hadn't locked his own door.

He quickly raced into the room to find a pile of things beside the door and a few empty boxes.

"Hey Kai!" Tyson greeted him as he sat on his bed. "Your room has the best view so I think I'll take it! I know it's yours and all but before you kill me, it wasn't locked so that means I can have it!" he laughed.

Kai just stared as a rushing sound seemed to fill his ears.

"I know right?" Tyson continued. "See I found the loop hole. Pretty smart of me huh? So…I guess you'll have to move your stuff…" he continued as a pressure seemed to be building in Kai's chest.

He noticed that the pile of stuff in front of the door were all of his belongings, and Dranzer lay on top as if thrown there carelessly. Tyson continued to prattle on about God knew what as the pressure in his chest continued to build and the rushing in his ears peaked.

He saw an empty box with a role of duck tape beside it, and before he realized what he was doing Kai had tackled a startled Tyson off of his bed and bound his hands behind his back with the thick grey tape.

"Kai! What the hell-?"

He was cut off as, Kai shoved a sock he had found on the floor into his mouth and made quick work or wrapping more tape around his head and securing the sock in place. He bound him around his ankles as well, enjoying himself the entire time.

Then for the finale he dropped Tyson unceremoniously into one of the empty boxes and taped it shut, but the rushing in his ears continued as he looked around his room that was now in shambles

He spotted a mover making his way down the hall and called out to him.

"Yes sir?" the bulky man asked in a husky voice.

"Could you please take this box down to the basement for me?" he asked.

Tyson, who had heard what Kai had said from inside his make shift prison started to shift around inside the box causing it to move along the carpet slightly. The man looked from the box to Kai, giving him a quizzical look.

Kai smirked and pulled a fifty out of his pocket and handed it to the man. "You didn't see anything .Got it?" Kai asked.

The man smiled and took the bill.

"Of course sir," he said and picked up the box.

The pressure in his chest subsided; Kai began throwing all of Tyson's belongings into a closet outside in the hall and went about putting everything back the way it had had it before the moron had decided to take the room as his own.

Kai was sitting in the t.v room watching the news as Ray came in looking around the otherwise empty room.

"Hey Kai," he started. "Have you seen Tyson? We can't find him anywhere."

Kai was glad his back was facing Ray or he would have seen the smirk that couldn't help but spread across his face.

"No, I haven't seen him since this morning. But, I'm sure he'll turn up….eventually."
