Hooking Up Forever
1/1

Dean stared forward, eyes wide but gaze unfocused. It hit him like a pile of bricks, straight in the face without any warning.

"Dean?"

One minute everything had been fine and then bam! It was all a helluva lot clearer. He wasn't sure he liked it, sort of wanted it to go back to how it was, didn't like just how obvious it became now.

"Dean?"

He knew he cared for her. Hell, it was hard not to. She'd been on the road with him for awhile now and he'd be lying if he said she hadn't peaked his interest from the start. And when things just sort of evolved from there leading into them sharing a bed and much more than that, well... He just figured he'd go along with it, see how far it went. But that was, shit, years ago.

"Dean!?"

How many exactly? His brow furrowed. She showed up before Sammy went back to college and she stayed a lot longer than he expected her to and somewhere along the way, they were just... monogamous. Other women didn't compare and he was content enough with the bossy and stubborn woman riding shotgun, so he didn't really go looking. He flirted, he looked, but he never strayed. He knew she didn't either, not that he gave her a lot of choice on the matter. He was obvious in showing others that she was his, even if he refused to admit any jealousy over the fact. She'd just scoff, shake her head and promise to make sure he knew she was all his later that night.

"Jesus! DEAN!"

"What?" he barked, turning his head toward her.

"Get your head out of your ass, Winchester!" she exclaimed, motioning to the road. "You swerve into traffic anymore and we're going to crash!"

He turned back to the road abruptly and realized she was right, while he was taking inventory on their relationship, he'd nearly taken out the whole other lane. He wondered why he hadn't heard the honking before but shrugged it off and forced his eyes to stay on the road.

"What's wrong?" she asked and he didn't have to look to know she had a brow lifted in concern.

"Nothing," he muttered, reaching for the radio - this needed some Metallica on full blast - only to have his hand slapped away.

"I'm fluent in Dean-speak and that means something," Chloe replied, arms crossing over her chest stubbornly. "So what's up?"

He sighed, glancing at her from the corner of his eyes. "When we hooked up, what'd you expect to happen?"

"Honestly?" She grinned as he nodded. "Hot, hot sex followed by a giant crash and burn scenario.

He laughed. No wonder he loved her. "Well at least we got half right."

She chuckled, nodding. "Why? You thinking of leaving me at the next stop?"

She didn't look worried and really, she didn't have to.

"Nah... Figure we might as well head over to Vegas."

"Vegas? I didn't know we had a job over there." Her brow furrowed.

"We don't." He shook his head, licking his lips. "I'm thinking an Elvis impersonator, how about you?"

She stared at him a long moment. "Fine... But we're so going to see a magic show while we're there." She grinned widely.

He nodded. No crash yet... But they were really just getting started and there was lots of hot, hot sex to come. After they were hitched, he'd see just how long they could ride out this unusual strain of luck they had with each other. No deaths so far, no hostage situations, and she hadn't bailed after she learned his history. He was starting to think a djinn had him captive, but one look at her grin and he knew nobody could make that up.
