Summary: Something is missing, and Robin is panicking.
Also, this was written based on a prompt at The Muse Bunny. Prompt: "Where is it?". Unfortunately, the prompt was for a drabble, of which this is not. :)
Disclaimer: I don't own or claim to own Witch Hunter Robin, I just like borrowing the characters.
"Gah!" Robin could feel herself panicking. The emotion wasn't characteristic of her, but under the circumstances, it was completely unavoidable.
"Where is it?? Where is it, whereis it, whereisit..." she kept muttering, faster and faster as she darted around her room. The young craft-user knew that her partner would be there any moment, and he wouldn't be willing to wait for her to find it.
Unbeknownst to her, Amon had already arrived to pick her up for work and was now leaning against her door frame, marveling at how she seemed to be flitting around the small room like a black humming bird. She was desperately trying to find something, that much was obvious, as she looked under everything, opening drawers and flinging things about.
When the blond dove under the bed, it was all the usually impassive hunter could do to not laugh at the sight before him. He had never seen her in as much of a panic as she was in right then and for the life of him, he couldn't imagine what would have her in such a frenzy.
"Robin?" Her partner's voice startled her enough that she jumped, causing her to hit her head on the bottom of her bed. Crawling out, she unceremoniously plopped down on the floor, rubbing the back of her now hurting head.
"What are you doing?" Amon continued slowly, struggling to keep his facade of indifference in place, despite the disgruntled appearance and pouting of his partner.
"My necklace... I can't find it..." she almost whined, her panic stricken, emerald eyes darting around the room looking for the lost treasure.
Casually the older hunter looked around the room before non-chalantly reaching over to her dresser and picking something up.
"You mean this, I presume?" He couldn't help the teasing note in his voice. It wasn't often that anyone saw Robin acting like her own age, and he found it far too cute to go unnoticed.
"Yes!" she exclaimed, jumping up and nearly knocking her older partner over as she leapt to snatch her beloved keepsake from his hand.
For his own part, Amon had to move slightly from where he leaned against her door frame to keep himself from being bowled over by the overzealous teen.
"So, does this mean we can go to work now?" he chuckled.
A/N: Hopefully you enjoyed it. Let me know what you think - it's the only way that I might get better ;)
