She felt like herself again. Her old self. Her real self. She felt young and alive in a way she hadn't in years. Though she would forever have the appearance of a woman of thirty or so years of age, her spirit had been dormant for all the years she had sat on her throne beside Zeus, not really caring how many affairs he engaged in beyond the humiliation of being a neglected wife. But in Hades' arms she recaptured the part of herself she had lost. He made her feel beautiful and desirable. His arms created a safe haven for her which felt like...home.

An overwhelming sense of relief flooded through him at her passionate response to his kiss. A part of him had worried that she might have grown so bitter and cold during her imprisonment that he wouldn't be able to melt the ice surrounding her heart. Taking her into his arms dispelled any doubts. She was still the girl he had fallen in love with. Her immediate softening and melting into his arms convinced him their love did not need to be rekindled. It had never died. He bent to sweep her into his arms and began to walk down the corridor.

She broke off from the kiss. "Hades?"

"Yes, my love?"

Hera bit her bottom lip. "Where are you taking me?"

Hades smiled at the familiar gesture of nervousness that he hadn't seen in a while. "Where would you like me to be taking you?"

"With you," she answered softly.

"Yes, but where, my love?" he asked.

"Anywhere," she mumbled as she arched up and kissed the corner of his mouth.

"Anywhere?" he repeated disbelievingly.

"Away," she pleaded, her eyes slightly clouded with lust but also with pain.

His eyes softened. He dipped his head and continued to kiss her as he carried her to his chamber.

There you go. I know it isn't very long. I like it though. Hope you do. Please review.

Much love, Cat.
