Disclaimer: Meh dun own Dgray-man… meh.
So, yeah, I'm pretty much still alive (surprised!) Since I suck with long story multiple chapters, I decide to write short multiple chapter stories instead. Short here meaning less than 1000 words but hopefully it will be updated more frequently.
Lastly, please enjoy my latest fanfiction.

Chapter 1
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Lavi swatted at some random bugs that were buzzing in front of his face and stumbled on a fallen half-rotten tree bark. He would have fall face first into the dirt had somebody not caught his exorcist coat from behind and steadied him once more. But the action had accidentally pulled the muscle of his injured right shoulder, sending waves of pain up his spine and into his brain to merge with that major headache he had been trying to suppress since last night.
"Be more careful, baka usagi." He heard Kanda growled irritably, but he was too exhausted to reply anything and fell onto his knees instead, clutching the injured shoulder as he waited for the pain to pass. "Oi, are you okay?" He heard Kanda growled again, but this time with a bit of concern in his voice. Lavi would have made a smart remark that he had reserved specially for that kind of tone... but the pain of his wound was too intense for him to remember the exact words.
"It hurts," He managed to ground out through gritted teeth.
Kanda studied the exorcist before him for a moment, wondering if this was one of Lavi's childish antics because if it was, he was going to beat some sense into the red-head. But then, he noticed the blood dripping from the other man's right arm and the tinge of red in the bandages around Lavi's head. He cursed his lack of observation and kneeled in front of Lavi, unpacking the first-aid kit from his backpack. Tilting the other's chin to get a better view, he judged that the wound on the head had stopped bleeding and would not need a change of bandage. But the stab-wound on the right shoulder that had been dealt by a Level 2 was an entirely different story.
The bandage he had used to stop the bleeding had been soaked through and through with blood to the point that it could not absorb anymore moisture. Crimson trail traces Lavi's arm as the blood seeped from the bandage. He cursed, trying not to think how much blood Lavi had lost and carefully replaced the useless crimson bandage with a new white one. He was almost done with his task when he noticed that Lavi's head was slightly drooping to one-side, his eye half lidded and his body wavering like a leaf blown by a wind. In fact, the only thing that was holding the red-head upright was the support of the Japanese's hands. Kanda squeezed the injured shoulder a little taking a slight satisfaction in Lavi's sharp painful intake of breath as he gained some form of lucidness.
"Ouch, tha' hurts, Yuu-chan"
"Don't go to sleep. We're moving again." Kanda said stiffly, ignoring the inappropriate honorific to his name. Normally, he would have threatened the other man with Mugen, but this time he did not need the other man to be more injured than he already did. He stuffed the first-aid kit back into his back pack quickly and slipped it behind him.
"But, am so tired" Lavi complained, trying to force himself to stand up and failed.
"We can rest after we've reach the town." Kanda slipped Lavi's left arm around his shoulders before standing up with the red-head heavily leaning onto him on one side. "Try to walk. Don't make me do all the job, baka-usagi."
All he received was a tiny nod. It was enough and they set out slowly and awkwardly through the forest.
