A/N: Hey Everyone! I'm back. Like I said this story is actually going to be updated on a regular basis because I finally got a new laptop so I can start updating all my stories regularly. Honestly, with this story I kind of have no clear ending. I'm just writing for the sake of writing and hoping some ending will pop up. I will say though we get to explore more into the backgrounds of some of our favorite creatures. You should also know that none of my things are beta'd and I didn't get to reread this chapter, but I hope it turned out well.

Disclaimer: Do not own Twilight.

Review Response:

K: Yeah, it is about time I actually decided to write this story in it's entirety.

B: I agree with you fully. The first one was rough and had no real direction. This one I hope gives a little more character development and explores more of the universe around them instead of just the relationship. In this story the relationship is just growing, and next chapter I will focus more on it, but for now I'm trying to give a breakdown of history. I'm glad you almost dropped your phone, as bad as that sounds. It means I shocked you, and I hope you are once again at the end of this chapter :)

I've always asked Jacob and other members of the tribe how it feels to actually imprint on their soul mates. Each of them replies with the same things each time. "It'll change who you are." I never believed them until this...elegant man walked into the room. They were right. My life shattered before my eyes, as I could feel every string, tie, and love I've ever felt inside me snap, reverberate and form a new with a very new red string of fate connecting me to this one person. The world could have stopped spinning, but as long as this person was alive my world would continue without any hindrance. It was amazing feeling like things were finally right and whole in my life as that emptiness I've been feeling for years has finally been filled with that overpowering feeling of love.

"Umm..Hello?" His voice was refined and elegant as it reached my ears. He tilted his head to the side questioning my presence, and I just couldn't find the words to respond to him. His voice filled my ears, and I felt like it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. He had rich dirty blonde hair that messily fell across his head, blue eyes that gleamed under the florescent lighting, wearing a light blue travelling shirt and a pair of dark black jeans, you could tell that he was an athlete.

I blushed, "Uhh..I-I am..." Why couldn't I get these stupid words out?! Seth! Seth! Say Seth! I begged my body to obey, but instead I looked down embarrassed. I looked back up and he just raised his eyebrow as an amusing smile crossed his lips.

"Ok?" He chuckled before making his way to Jacob's bedside. I froze as he passed me, wondering how he couldn't feel that electricity in the air. I was mesmerized as he went to work checking the bandages that were wrapped around his right arm. As if it was some kind of show, I couldn't help but watch as his hand was raised and it began glowing a soft green glow. If I listened close enough I could hear him chanting some kind of gibberish.

"Jacob will be ok." I jumped as Bella snuck up behind me. Looking at her, I completely forgot that Jacob was injured. "Issac says that most of the poison was removed already, we are just waiting for his fever to break." I simply nodded and turned back to watch the man named Issac, which I have decided is the cutest name, do whatever he was doing. My voice still too shy to speak up while he was in the room.

Eventually, Issac let out a small sigh. "Whew...that should be it. Luckily we were able to burn the blood using Vampire venom. It should leave his body completely in just a few minutes." He looked down not really saying the results to anyone in particular, he wiped sweat from his brow. "I'm just glad no one got hurt." I could hear the pain lacing his voice. In an instant it was gone as he looked over to us and smiled brightly, "So sir. " He was addressing me and I willed my heart to stay under control as the blush returned. "Care to finally give me your name without stuttering?" he teased.

I looked at Bella, and could see she knew exactly what was going on. She shook her head telling me she wasn't going to help as smile crossed her face, and I just glared trying to get my voice to finally follow what my brain wanted. "It's...Seth." I got out, and nearly gave myself a high five.

"Huh, cool name." He smiled. "It's nice to meet another one of the Spirit Tribe descendants." He held out his hand, "The name is Issac. Issac Luxen." I grabbed his hand, intending to shake his hand, but before our hands made contact a spark of red lightning jumped between the two of us. My head shot up to meet his, and he just stared at me wide-eyed. I did the most instinctual instinct as I had no idea what just happened.

I ran.

I could hear Bella laughing as I did. Trying to find the others so I could just try distracting myself. Not only did I finally imprint, which was great, but on a male ANGEL?! I must be all kinds of crazy to think this will work out. So, I just ran down the halls teying to find my way until I ran into probably the worst person I could have.

Edward.

Please don't read my thoughts, please don't figure it out... I begged him, but of course that didn't work out as a smirk came and rested itself on his lips. "You imprinted." I looked away trying to avoid his eyes as the rest of my mental barriers were let go. I didn't even have to look as the shock entered his eyes and eventually his voice, "On Issac." He simply said, and I just nodded.

"What the hell do I do?" I asked him. The past few years, Edward and I have grown close. He knew my secret of being in love with Jacob, and has really been a great friend whenever I needed him. Whenever I had my insecurities about the future, Edward was the guy that I ended up going to just because I felt a certain kinship with the vampire. Even if he smelled.

"If you imprinted, there is nothing else you can do but talk to him." He shrugged. "It's not like you are going to be talking to some girl awkwardly." I glared at him, "Just saying. He is a great guy by what Carlisle has told us, and he has been taking care of Jacob and Sam. Until you talk to him, you can't really be nervous."

I sighed, "Whenever I open my mouth when he is around all I get is gibberish." He laughed.

"So, the pack complains about how friendly and talkative you are, but as soon as your soulmate is around you actually can't talk." He laughed even harder. "Sorry Seth, but that's just great." I punched his arm, playfully. "Seriously, you are great Seth. Just have to enunciate your words." He smiled.

As if on cue I could hear the heavier, much clumsier footsteps of someone as well as Bella coming down the hall. The only person it could be is Issac as I was familiar with everyone else. "Looks like it's your cue." He pushed me forward, almost knocking me into Issac, who quickly caught me.

"Hey!" He smiled cheerfully down at me. "You ran away before we could actually uhh...talk." I watched as Edward led Bella away from the two of us, down the hallway to where I'm assuming Sam was being held. "Seth right?" I just nodded. "It's nice to meet you. I've met many people like you, but never an American Wolf tribe." He nervously said. I could actually hear his heartbeat beating, but I wasn't sure if it was beating faster or not.

I opened my mouth to speak, and finally my brain and my voice connected. "An American Wolf Tribe?" I was confused now, were there others like us? "As in there are others that have the same ability?"

"Yeah, I'll explain that later, but there are other protecting tribes like the Quileutes spread around the world. It's a long story, and I have to go back to Sam's room first to check on his status." He announced as he began making his way down the same hall as Bella and Edward.

I followed him, "I thought you would look...older." I admitted. In my mind I was expecting a person looking like he was thirty or forty just with big wings, but Issac? He looked like he was eighteen, seventeen.

He just chuckled, "Technically I'm about 600 years old." I was shocked. It must have shown on my face as he continued, "I'm young for an Angel. Technically I have only been here on Earth for 400 years taking over my mentor when he returned home." He said this nonchalantly shrugging like this was normal information. I guess for him it was, but I just blinked a couple of times wondering how he was actually 600 years old looking that...great. I blushed thinking about what he looked like underneath those clothes.

"Heh, doesn't show even a little bit." I tried my hand at flirting and I could have sworn I saw the faintest of a blush rest upon his skin.

"Thanks." He winked back sending the blush my way. "How old are you?" We were nearing Sam's room and I could hear some mumblings going on behind it.

"Twenty." I informed him, and couldn't help but be embarrassed about being so young compared to him.

He looked at me and just smirked. "Doesn't that mean you are still a pup?" I just growled, forcing him to burst out in laughter. "Relax Seth, just playful banter. You definitely aren't a puppy." I smiled, taking the complement. I swear the more I talked with him the more I just couldn't help myself from being attracted to the guy. The witty banter, the playful attitude even the way he looked at me just seemed to mystify me.

We entered Sam's room, when every head turned at our arrival. "Seth, nice of you to finally join us." Leah rolled her eyes from the corner of the room as Emily was sitting on the bedside of Sam. Looking at Sam I could tell that he got the worst of whatever happened. His usually tan skin was lacking it's usual robust tone, and his breathing was coming out shallow. Bandages wrapped around his legs, as sweat poured off of him. "There hasn't been any change yet Issac." Leah also said as Issac made his way to Sam's bedside.

Leah, Paul, Embry, Emily, Carlisle, and Jared were all inside the tiny Hotel room. Leah was in the corner, watching whatever was on the television, no doubt just trying to make herself invisible from Emily. Embry was watching Leah making sure she didn't hurt herself, and Embry, Paul, and Jared were in the chairs discussing something about football or what not. "Hey Seth, there is something different about you." Embry said, narrowing his eyes towards me. "Like...something happened." I just shook my head quickly.

"No idea what you are talking about." I denied their claims quickly.

Leah came over and also gave me a very questioning look. "Huh, something definitely changed in you. Are you sure that nothing happened?" She asked, and I knew that if I looked where I wanted to look she would know exactly what happened, so I made sure I didn't look at Issac as he look over a chart and chatted with Emily and Carlisle.

"I...uhh…" Trying to come up with some kind of excuse, none of us noticed what was happening with Sam.

Next thing we know is a large crash is heard and a growl so feral it struck an internal chord of fear in us as we turned to the source of the noise. Issac was trying to hold down this...creature that looked like Sam. Fur was trying to burst forth from his skin, as his eyes were turning wild and ferocious glinting with a yellow glow. Carlisle was protecting Emily as Issac yelled out, "Hold him down!" He looked at us and none of us knew what to do. "Now!" He ordered and in a flash we were all trying to hold down this over powered version of Sam as he thrashed against us.

"Is-Is he ok?" Emily was on the verge of tears and none of us could do anything but try to hold down Sam from possibly killing all of us. Issac pulled out a knife and before I could stop him he plunged the knife into his own skin leaving a deep cut.

"Before arriving here, I had to take care of a small pack of Werewolves, not more than three of them." The shock and surprise crossed our faces. Edward mentioned Werewolves before but said they were all gone. "My sword was contaminated from my battle when he attacked me. I must not have cleaned the blade as thoroughly as I should have since there were people still in the nearby vicinity. As a result, the Werewolf blood must also have some of it's poison and when it entered Sam's blood it put him in this kind of semi-transformation." He explained to all of us as his palm became crimson. "Jacob only had a tiny amount enter his blood, but talking with Carlisle the two of us came up with an antidote using Vampiric poison to work as a neutralizer to the lycanthrope poison. Sam must have received a high dosage of this werewolf blood, and our antidote had no effect. Now there is only one chance." Using his free hand, Issac grabbed the now muzzle of Sam and ripped his mouth open, his teeth looking like it could bite through the trunk of a large tree.

Holding his mouth open, Issac began letting his blood flow into Sam's mouth, squeezing every last drop of blood. Eventually, Sam returned to his normal form and the thrashing stopped. His eyes closed, his breath became even, and the sweat was letting up. None of us quite understood what just happened.

"What the hell did you do to Sam?" Paul roared over at Issac. We all could see that he was losing control of himself as his body began to shudder uncontrollably. "You did this to him!"

"Paul, calm down! It was an accident, Sam attacked first not the other way around." Jared tried calming Paul. "I'm sure he had no intentions of causing this."

"Shut the fuck up Jared! That is our alpha you are talking about and you are defending the guy that almost fucking killed him?! No, I refuse to let this fucker go!" He launched at Issac. In an instant I was shifted and knocked Paul out of the way, forcing him into the wall. There was no way I was going to let anyone touch Issac. I growled angrily at Paul, snapping at anyone that would step closely to Issac.

"What is wrong with you Seth?" Embry tried to come towards the two of us, but I just snapped at him as well. No one is allowed near. "Both of you need to calm down right now! I don't care what is wrong with the two of you, but Paul it was an accident, and Seth no one is going to be attacking anyone!" He tried taking another step, but I growled in warning.

"It's alright Seth." I felt Issac's hand caress my fur tenderly and immediately I calmed down. "Carlisle, if you can please take care of Emily and Sam I'd appreciate it. The IV needs to be reinserted, but I think everything should be fine now." Carlisle nodded, "Emily, I'm sorry. This shouldn't have happened." He gave Emily a soft smile.

"It's ok Issac. I...I understand it was Sam who acted irrationally." She just smiled back, but was immediately drawn back to Sam.

"Paul, if you want to fight me to get whatever kind of revenge you want I'll fight you. Just not year." Issac pointed out the window, "About five miles in that direction is a tiny clearing large enough for us to fight. I'll meet you there." Issac turned and left the room immediately without a response.

I took off after him.

"Seth! Get back here!" Leah called, but I ignored her. I wanted, needed, to stay with Issac right now. I saw an open window and could smell his scent drifting from the outside, he must have jumped. Taking a few steps back I leaped through the window landing on the ground with a light thud, before taking off running again. Alright Little Brother, what the hell has gotten into you?! Leah's mind entered my own and I just growled back.

Leave me alone Leah! It's none of your business. I mentally told her.

You are my business little brother. It's not like I am going anywhere anytime soon so spill. Something happened, and now you are protecting Issac like you are his guard dog. She said, and I knew that it all clicked in her head as soon as she voiced her thoughts. You imprinted on him?! Her voice was so loud in my head I almost tripped as I ran.

Like I said, none of your business. I retorted.

The hell it's not! You imprinted finally, congratulations by the way. I should have known it was going to be on a guy. Her smug tone was clear from the way she told me. You know I am happy for you. The soft sisterly Leah was back and I couldn't help but grin.

Thanks Leah, I am too. Trust me, I am happy that I can finally share what you all have. I let the grin continue as I ran, no doubt Leah following me as well.

I made it to the clearing where Issac was sitting patiently beneath a tree, his back was up against it and his eyes were dropped peacefully while his sword rested a few feet away. He looked cute with the sun shining down in between the leaves, dancing across his face. "Hey Seth." He opened one eye to peer at me. I curled up next to him to provide him with some warmth. "Heh, you are one oversized heater you know that?" He stroke my fur and I just smiled at him, loving the way his hand felt through my fur.

"So you are the kid my brother fell for?" I heard Leah say and I swear to god I almost attacked her.

"Fell for me?" Issac looked down and raised his eyebrow in question. "I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about." Leah just gave me this look that relayed the message that I am an idiot. I just growled again.

"My idiot brother didn't tell you huh?" Leah took a seat next to Issac. "I'm Leah by the way, Leah Clearwater and Seth's older sister. I was there with Jacob." She informed him.

"Yeah I know. You were the small silver wolf right?" She just glared. "Don't give me that look. Honestly, judging from skill alone you might be able to beat Jacob." This earned a smile out Leah. "But no, Seth told me nothing. He barely even talked to me."

"Really? Cause we can't get him to shut up." Leah teased and threw something at me. "You ripped yours before hand so go change now." She commanded as I picked up the pair of sweatpants she threw at me.

I trotted across the clearing and behind a tree to shift back into my human form. "...fact is that Seth has imprinted on you." I heard Leah finish her explanation as I came walking back over.

"Leah! I thought you would let me explain everything to him." I whined as I took my seat next to Issac, kinda shying away from him. "Ugh, why must you interfere with everything in my life again?"

"Cause it's my job as your older sister." She smiled cruelly. "Beside that it seems like he already fell for you too." I turned to him and could clearly see his face turning a shade of pink. Even the tips of his ears were turning a shade of pink as he looked away shyly. "Told you."

I scooted closer to him and just stared at him, ignoring Leah. "Issac?" He pouted slightly. "Issac, uhh...do you um…" Even though I could tell that Leah was telling the truth, I still couldn't find the words.

"Did he finally run out of words? It's a freakin' miracle." I threw a rock at Leah's head hoping that it would hit. She caught it easily. "Hey, I'm just trying to help you two lovebirds." She laughed. Turning away I looked back at Issac and found myself face to face to some of the most brilliant ocean blue eyes.

He smiled softly at me, "Seth, if you are trying to ask me if I actually want to try…" He just motioned between the two of us, "whatever this is between us, then yes I do." I couldn't help but let that stupid grin cross my face. "Slow, but yeah I do wanna give it a try." He took my hand and settled back against the tree, the two of our shoulders touching. His touch was cool, soothing, against my usual scorching skin.

"Great!" I exclaimed, "I'm glad that the awkwardness between us can finally end." I leaned my head against his, smiling to no one in particular.

"The only awkwardness was from you Seth, as your sister likes to point out." Leah smiled at Issac. "Besides that, maybe we can teach you when to properly talk and when not to." Leah burst out laughing as Issac just grinned.

"Please don't tell me you and my sister are going to get along?!" The two of them just gleamed evilly at me. I groaned, "You two, plotting, is not going to be good for my life." I sighed. "Luckily, I can keep you two away as I doubt Kita will like it when you are spending too much time with another guy."

She rolled her eyes before taking a seat next to us. "Pft, all I have to do is tell him that Issac is gay and going out with my little brother and I'm sure he will understand." I groaned, again my life might have become slightly...more annoying.

The three of us looked up as other members of the pack entered the clearing, immediately I let go of his hand and leaned away, not wanting to give our relationship away yet. Issac understood that it might still be a little early to let our relationship known. "Well, it looks like it's time." Issac got up from his position and walked slowly to the center of the clearing where Paul was waiting for him. I noticed Issac's sword was still laying next to him. "Hello Paul." Issac formally greeted his opponent. "I must say that I really hate that we have to do this, I said I am sorry about what happened. It was a mistake that I will regret for the rest of my life."

"I don't care if you are sorry." Paul spit at him. My blood began to boil, and I took a few steps forward. Leah put her hand up to stop me as Embry came over to us. "You hurt our alpha, who almost lost his fucking life because you made a mistake. You and me, one on one. If you win I'll let you off the hook, but if I win, you leave with your wings, tail, whatever you have, and leave with it between your legs and never come back." Paul smugly challenged.

"Who do you think is going to win?" Leah asked Embry as he came over to us.

Embry shook his head, "I think Issac is going to get creamed honestly. Paul is pissed, and when that guy is pissed nothing can stop him."

"Issac." I told him, and without a doubt in my mind I knew that Issac would be victorious, even if I had no idea what he was capable of. Embry scoffed, we all knew that Paul was a skilled fighter, but deep down I knew he was too wild to really beat anyone who had any fighting experience.

"You are just cheering for your little boyfriend." Leah smiled.

"Leah! Shut up!" I blushed red and looked away from Embry.

"Oh come on Seth they're going to find out you imprinted on the guy." Leah came over and slapped my back. I looked at Embry watching his reaction.

"No way dude!" He wrapped his arm around my neck and playfully ruffled my head making me drop slightly from his weight. "That's awesome, finally you imprinted on someone! Took long enough, even if it's on another guy. Jared totally owes me twenty bucks, and now Quil owes me ten!" He laughed.

"You guys had bet on my love life?!" I almost shouted, angry. I didn't even notice that Paul and Issac were standing across from each other, about a hundred feet away from each other. "You guys thought I was gay from the beginning?!"

"Actually I had a bet with Quil that it is actually possible to imprint on another male, even if there was no evidence of it." I scowled, "Don't give me that, times change and none of our stories said that it didn't happen. I just bet Quil that it was possible for one of us to imprint on a guy." He shrugged.

"And with Jared?"

He chuckled nervously, "Ok, yeah that one I bet you were gay." I was about to hit him, "But i didn't ever expect to win that bet!" He tried to justify himself.

"Both of you watch the fight, it's about to start." Leah said still sitting against the tree. We of course obeyed our beta as the two of us began to watch the two warriors circle each other.

The fight just began as Paul shifted into his wolf form, his pants shredded from the transformation. This led to the first move being made by Paul as he bum rushed Issac. My boyfriend, damn it's good to say that, was ready though as he tensed as the wolf charged. Digging his feet into the ground, he braced himself grabbing onto the fur of his assailant stopping him from moving. The two seemed to be evenly matched before Issac grunted and began to swing Paul around by his fur and throw him into a nearby tree. I could hear the breath leave Paul as he struggled to get up.

"I'm telling you now, we don't have to do this Paul." Issac said heaving a bit from the throw. Paul was on his feet again and just growled out that everyone understood as a fuck off. "Fine then." Issac changed stance. His feet were together as he stood straight up. His left hand extended towards Paul as his right arm rested calmly against his body. "Come." Challenging the temper on Paul, he took the bait.

This time sprinting around Issac at a fast pace. He tried catching the man off guard biting down on his leg to disable any movement, but was too slow as Issac did a backwards handspring landing lightly on his feet. Unfortunately this allowed Paul to take a swipe with his claws, nicking Issac's arm. Blood began to drip down his arm from the not-so-shallow cut. "Isn't this illegal if Seth imprinted on him?"

"I explained that to Issac, but he refused to back down on a technicality." Leah shrugged as we watched Issac grip his arm in pain. "Besides, I think Paul is about to see why Sam and Jacob weren't able to take down this guy." We continued watching as Issac went to the offensive this time. Moving swiftly through the air, we watched as Paul lifted himself on his hind legs to either swipe or drop on top of Issac as he neared.

He never got the chance.

As Paul's hand swiped down looking like it clearly sliced through Issac's entire being, making my heart stop for just a second, the image of Issac's body disappeared in an instant and I saw Issac laying on the ground underneath Paul. Issac slammed the palm of his hand into Paul's stomach, tossing him into the air and back to the ground on his back. We could all hear him groaning in pain, but apparently Issac wasn't done. Holding his middle and index finger to his forehead, he called out, "First Limit, release!" In that instant it seemed like pure white wings ripped from his back and engulfed him in a shroud of feathers. None of believed our eyes as the man changed into the Angel we all knew he was. Punching the ground, you could see the Earth rumble beneath his feet as it opened underneath Paul, dropping him into a hole that looked near impossible to climb up out of. "Looks like I win." Issac smiled at the howling Paul, he turned away and came back to settle up against the tree, his wings laying flat against his back.

We blinked. Twice. At the small man resting against the tree. He was a good head shorter than I was and tiny compared to Paul, yet he knocked him out and sunk him in a hole. "Told you he would win." I smiled high fiving Leah. "Come on let's go get Paul out of that hole he dug himself in." All of us rushed forward.

"What the hell was that?!" Paul yelled, shifting into his human form. "That's just cheating to literally open the Earth underneath me." We looked down to see Paul naked, sitting on the floor. The walls were smooth preventing any escape from the bottom.

"How are we going to get that lout out of there?" Jared asked, scratching the back of his head. "If any of us fall in, then that just makes more of a mess." He tossed down another pair of sweats down to Paul. How many extra pairs of sweats do we have? There is no way we rip through our pants that often, jeezus.

"We could toss him a rope or something." Embry suggested. "Too bad we don't have a rope." We all just stared down at the grumbling Paul watching him. "Seth, why don't you coax Issac into helping us out. He is family now." He teased me.

I rolled my eyes. "What do you mean family?" Jared raised his eyebrow watching me.

I sighed. "Issac, can you please get Paul out of the hole?" I asked the resting form of Issac. He just grunted, "Please?" I heard him sigh as he got up from where he was.

"Only if he agrees not to attack anymore." I heard him say when he walked over peering into the hole. "I know you heard me." Paul was looking up at us. He nodded his head in agreement causing Issac to smile. "Good." Kicking the ground, Issac raised the ground up where Paul waited, surprisingly patiently. Issac took a step forward and offered his hand out for Paul, a sign of a truce I guess.

Paul smirked and took it, "It was a good fight." He admitted, "We should do it again sometime, kid." Issac just nodded as the two shook hands. Paul wrapped his arm around the angel and began chuckling, "You have to show me that double image thing you did before."

Issac nervously laughed alongside him, lifting Paul's arm before tossing it aside. "Well I think I'll be around for a little longer to show you." Issac smiled, glancing my way. I smiled right back.

"Paul, Jared you should know Seth imprinted on him." Leah said as we all gathered around to talk.

Paul burst out laughing. "Oh you have gotta be kidding me! Seth! Really?!" I wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing. "I still don't know if it's great you imprinted on someone who can kick my ass, or hilarious that it's on another dude."

"Does this mean I lose the bet?!" Jared groaned. "Are you sure you imprinted on him? Women Seth, remember? Women? Then again with Leah as a sister, I might actually see the merit." The sound of Leah's fist colliding with Jared's arm reverberated throughout the clearing. "Shit! That hurt!" Jared rubbed his arm, this time I punched him. "What the hell dude?!"

"One, my sister is awesome." Leah gave an approving nod, "Most of the time." I saw the death glare she gave me, and I hid behind Issac, even though he was smaller than me. "Second of all, I'm pretty happy with my instinctive choice." I wrapped my arms around Issac's torso and pulled him closer grinning. I could feel his heart beating faster, and his ears turn a slight pink. I smiled even brighter knowing I can get a reaction from my...boyfriend.

"Pay up Jared. Twenty bucks!" Embry held out his hand.

"How about we get back to the hospital to see how Sam and Jacob is and then I'll pay you." Jared admitted his defeat. Everyone ran behind the trees to tie their clothes to their legs before shifting to run back to the hospital.

I looked at Issac, questioningly. "You think you can keep up with us?" I asked him.

"If I tried running with wolves, I might actually fall behind, flying sure, but I don't move as...fast as you vampires and shifter wolves." He waved me away. "Mind if I get a lift though?" I was enthusiastic when he said that. Running behind a tree, I took off my pants and tied the article of clothing to my leg before feeling the rupture of fur from my skin. It took an instant, and the feeling was familiar as a muzzle replaced my face and my limbs became empowered by the spirit of the wolf inside.

I trotted back to where Issac was waiting patiently. Sniffing his neck, I let my tongue flicker lightly across his skin, earning another blush as he pushed me away. He giggled softly and beamed as he ran his hand through my fur again. I purred affectionately as I rubbed up against him. "Heh, Seth, no matter how much I would love to play with you, we do have to get back." I couldn't help the whine escape my throat. "Come on pup, we gotta go." He climbed on my back, resting his legs comfortably on both sides of me, leaning his full body against mine, his face next to mine. I could feel his breath tickling my fur. "Ready to go." He announced, immediately causing me to take off running.

It never felt so good to run as it did at that moment. It was exhilarating feeling the wind flow through my fur as the weight of Issac pressed up against me. The power of my feet connecting with the ground before bursting forward with even more speed. Joyfully laughing at the sound of Issac singing with laughter as the air seemed to part in front of us. Unfortunately the joy ride had to end as we neared the outskirts of the hospital and I let Issac get down. "Well, that was different from flying. Never thought I would get that kind of rush from being on the ground." He ran his hand through my fur again, and the purring returned. "I don't think I will ever get used to that purring, it's so cute." I growled, "Hey, cute can be good. I like cute." I huffed, allowing the word to continue. "Now go get changed so we can go face the others."

I nodded and went behind the tree again to shift and put on pants as I came back to him, where he was waiting. His hair now perfectly back into place from the run as he waited patiently. "Cute?" I raised an eyebrow as he smiled. "I would prefer some other form of a compliment other than cute." I told him as we made our way through the forest and towards the hospital.

"Like what?" He rolled his eyes, "Hot? Sexy? Powerful? Pfft sorry Seth but you are cute." He teased me a little more. "I like cute, it's sweet, it's kind, it's caring." He grabbed my hand again and the blush overtook my cheeks. "I like to think of you as being those kind of traits." I smiled down at the Angel and couldn't help but let his presence wash over me.

We entered the hospital doors and climbed up the stairs. "Where are your wings by the way? I only saw them appear for a little bit when you were fighting Paul, and when I shifted in the clearing they were gone again."

"Ah, that's a little hard to explain." He let go of my hand as we got to the third floor. "I usually don't let my wings out because it's annoying when I'm sitting in a chair or trying to lay down, but they are always there, kind of resting inside of my back. I'm sure you heard me talk about a Limit or something of the other?" I nodded, "Yeah our powers are limited while on this plane. There are three limits that are placed upon our bodies. The first limit will release our wings and control over the elements, but only to an extent of what's around us. We can't just make things appear out of nowhere." He explained, trying to sate my curiosity.

"Huh, so that's why I can't see them now? So how powerful are you without the first limit released?" I was curious.

"Well my physical enhancement is still there, as well as my ability to create and cast spells. I think you saw that when I was checking up on Jacob." I did recall seeing his hands glowing a faint green when I first saw him, "But other than that it's nothing much. I have the strength, the speed, the flexibility, and the stamina to keep up with any of the creatures, but I mean I usually don't do much fighting unless I released the first limit." He went on to explain, as we neared Sam's room.

"Huh, that's pretty cool." I told him, as we entered the room. This time it was filled with most of the Cullens, Edward, Bella, Carlisle, and Alice, who brought food for the rest of the gang. Emily must be sleeping somewhere else as her and Jared were gone now. Jacob was even sitting in the chair, an IV attached to his skin with Renesme sitting on the arm chair. "Hey everyone, how is Sam doing?"

"Much better now." Carlisle was looking at the machine beeping in the corner, reading off the now steady heartbeat. "It seems like most of the poison has been removed from his blood, and has been in sustained human form." It was clear that his skin had it's tone back and his breath was even and slow. "It looks like he should make a full recovery." Carlisle smiled, making all of us release a sigh of relieve. "I am curious what you did Issac."

He went over to get a closer look at Sam. "Angel's blood has been known to have miraculous healing properties. It was a long shot, but I thought that my blood might be able to neutralize the large amount of werewolf blood in him in a similar fashion Carlisle's vampiric gene did. Luckily it worked."

"Wait I have vampire poison in my bloodstream?" Jacob wrinkled his nose in disgust. "Ugh, that's why I feel horrible." Jacob groaned from the corner. Renesme placed a hand on his shoulder, no doubt relaying her thoughts to him. "Alright find, it's better than whatever the hell happened to Sam."

"I agree." Bella said, "I was a little worried for you Jake. Renesme and I were freaking out that you might...not make it." Edward wrapped an arm around Bella. This must have been bad if Bella was worried for her best friend.

"It's ok Bella, I'm fine now, besides there was no way a tiny cut like that was going to kill me off. I'm pretty sure if I didn't make it Renesme would have killed me when she eventually met me in the afterlife." He laughed placing his own hand over hers. Honestly, this little exchange between Jake and the love of his life would have bothered me before today. I still remember the envy I felt when I would see the two of them together. My heart clenching, and my breathing slightly more difficult. Now? Now I feel content that everything should be where it needs to be.

"I am going to recommend that the two of you don't shift for about at least a month or two, just in case." Issac ordered.

"We will make sure of it, no worries." Leah gave the commanding look over at Jake who just shrugged. "Good."

"I'm curious though." We all turned to Alice, "What did you mean when you mentioned Werewolves? Each of us have heard of the Children of the Night, and thought they were extinct until a few years ago after the Volturi made it their mission to hunt them all down." Alice was observant. I completely forgot that the volturi talked about Werewolves before.

Issac looked over at Edward, "I've been curious of the same thing. You told us there was a pack in the North near Denali but I never heard anything of it from Tanya when we visited last year." He was lost in thought. "She did say there was suspicious activity in Nome though."

"That's where I was coming from yes." Issac settled down, leaning against the wall, his sword removed from his back and placed next to the wall. Each of us were watching expectantly of his tale. "Werewolves are natural predators, they are beings of the dark that threaten the existence of humans. Similarly, so are vampires." He turned his attention towards Carlisle, Edward, Alice, and Bella, "But after meeting Carlisle I realized that vampires have evolved to gain a sense of intelligence."

"Gain a sense of intelligence? You're saying that vampires today have evolved from a thousand years ago?" Bella asked. "I've always learned that for a species to reproduce they need to adapt to the environment and their offspring gain the most optimal features."

"That's true, that a species adapts to the environment. Before Vampires looked for one thing, sustenance to keep themselves alive. The most obvious choice is on human blood because they have the most nutrients for a vampire. I could go into the details of energy and a life force, but that would take a good two hours to really explain. Let's just say that vampires cannot produce their own life-force, hence why the heart has stopped beating. Instead they drain it from a human, or in your case an animal, to replenish that energy through the blood of their prey. But, I digress." He moved across the room and watched the television for a few seconds before continuing.

"Vampires used their abilities to hunt, like that of an animal. Using their superior assets they were able to catch a human without even trying. Recently though, in the past thousand or so years, people started creating ways to combat vampires using means of fire or weapons, forcing vampires to adapt to the now technological advancing human societies. They discarded their animalistic ways to adapt to a new approach to the humans. This is where their sense of charm and beauty comes to lure people into their clutches. The vampire species then became a society as covens formed and eventually the Volturi came to be looked upon as Royalty." We all were listening to his words like they were vital to our existence. None of us knew this about vampires, and we were all interested. "It wasn't until I met Carlisle that I discovered how far their intelligence has developed from the experiences my mentor told me. This is why I've stopped hunting Vampires, because they have come to adapt to live off of animals instead of humans, and unless provoked or they become out of control I leave them be." He finished.

All of us were just taking in the information trying to let it settle. The new light upon what vampires were to what they became was astonishing. I mean I knew that they could become wild, as we have seen from the newborns. Edward and Emmett have told us stories about the dangers of being around a persons blood that calls out to them, and the way they can lose control. "Wait, what does this have to do with Werewolves?" Renesme asked.

"Oops, guess I got ahead of myself." He laughed. The tension in the air was destoryed as Renesme almost fell out of her chair. "Sorry guys." He laughed, "Ok well werewolves are like the other side of the coin. They are living creatures that can create their own life source unlike vampires. Just, they can't produce enough of it. To maintain the energy needed for the way their body functions is exuberant, more than five times more than that of an average human, hence they must keep their supplies high. To kill a vampire, you can use fire, but a werewolf is a little more resilient because of their hide. Silver can harm, but not fully kill it unless it destroys the heart of the beast. Magic can also be effective if used correctly. Vampires and Werewolves are natural enemies as they compete for the same food source, also because they have the means to kill one another. The teeth of a vampire can rip into the hide of a werewolf and the werewolf have claws that can lyse a vampire's limb right off. So, vampires developed a sense of intelligence while werewolves decided it would be better to change their form."

"Changed their form? Like we do?" Embry asked.

"You guys can change it at will, they can only do it at night. It was a price they paid to change into their human form to blend in with the humans. They developed a way to change shape from their usual wolf forms into a human. Because of this, I believe Caius was the one that mistakened your pack as Children of the Moon if what Edward told me was true."

Edward nodded, "Yes, Caius was thrown into shock when he first saw Jake and the others."

"A few differences between you Shifters and actual werewolves is that werewolves usually are bipedal, meaning they stand on two legs and run on four. Their blood is poisonous to a normal human and if entered into the bloodstream can actually change them the same way Vampire poison can. This is what happened to Jacob and Sam and that was only a few drops of the blood. They also have a faster heart rate and in their human forms aren't as large as you all." Issac gestured around the room. "Recently, since the Volturi decided to kill all of them, the new generation of werewolves, the ones that survived, have become more difficult to deal. They have found a way to hide in plain sight by assimilating into human life with actual jobs and families. Also, just like Alice and Edward, they have gained some special abilities because they were the last ones to survive the genocide, and have now decided that working together in packs is a better way to hunt then say individually. I just took care of a growing pack in Alaska, but I believe there are three more still hiding there, I just won't be able to find them until they decide to attack again." He finally finished his tale as he rested back against the wall.

This was too much to handle right now and it seemed like we were all trying to process this information overload. Werewolves and Vampires are natural enemies, I got that, it's kinda like how we felt about Carlisle when he first came here. The animosity and hatred our people had for the Cold Ones. "This is a lot to process." I finally spoke up while everyone else seemed lost in thought. "But, I do have one more question if that's ok."

"Shoot." Everyone looked at me.

"You call us Shifters, but not werewolves. What does that even mean? I mean I heard my mom tell me a story about how one of the chief's found winged men who told him that they were the reason for their abilities and the magic in our blood. Is that true?"

"Actually, I noticed that too, and was wondering the same thing." Leah agreed with me.

"There are more tribes out there like the Wolves at La Push." Carlisle was the one who spoke.

"Actually there are a number of tribes that have the same abilities of the Quileutes. That's the reason I wasn't surprised when I first saw them when I first arrived." He turned to face Paul, "I know you talk about the strength you have, but you do feel it right? You can feel the forest moving around you, or the Earth speak to you?" It was an odd question to ask, but we all felt like that at one point.

"Yeah, it's been part of our culture since the beginning." Even Paul knew this one, "It's what gives us strength and lends itself to our cause. Reason why I can kick ass so much." The room groaned as a response. "Shut up guys."

"When the human tribes began to spring up around the world and the Earth was still prone to the magic and the supernatural there were Angel's that worked to keep order and peace in the world. We were able to set up peacekeepers if you will to protect parts of the world, and La Push happen to be one of them. The tribe their already could feel the Earth and respected it's power, but they didn't realize that the place they settled was overflowing with a rich flow of magic. The Angels at the time cast a spell in the ground, to imbue that magic into the children of the tribes giving them what should have been astral projection using the winds and the elements to help keep the demons like Vampires and Werewolves out of their territory. We did this all over the world, and now I guess the energy has evolved into taking animal forms, an unexpected but pleasant outcome." Issac smiled, explaining the effects that we had.

"So there is a spell in La Push giving us the ability to shift." Embry said.

"Yeah. Essentially the spell has been there since the beginning, and it keeps the lands rich and fertile. It also keeps the magic flowing from generation to generation only becoming known when a threat pops up nearby. I've seen tribes all over the world that can change into birds, reptiles, and even another Wolf Pack in Europe." Issac shrugged. "I still think its fascinating."

"I'm done with this witch craft mumbo jumbo, magical spells crap." Paul raised his hand in defeat. "If any werewolves or creatures come near La Push we will eliminate the threat, that's all I know. Call me if something like that happens, I want to sleep." Paul said as he left the room.

"Actualy, I'm going to go report all of this to Quil. Hopefully he isn't too busy. I think the council will have to be told to. Leah." Embry looked over at Leah. "I think you should be the one since Jacob and Sam are out of it and you are Jake's beta."

"Ugh, alright." Leah sighed. "I'll go home and tell mom to call a meeting with the other members. Just let me give Kita a quick call telling him I'll be a little late to hang out." She sighed before following Embry out the door. "Seth, mom will want you home. Bring Issac if you want, I'm sure she will be interested." She laughed, closing the door. This left the Cullens, Issac, Jake, and myself in the room.

"I'm actually intrigued by your idea of evolution Issac. Do you really believe that Vampires can evolve from what they were before?" Carlisle began a discussion.

"I do. The vampires two thousand years ago were apparently just as savage as the werewolves. Now they are more refined, besides look at Renesme, she is a human-vampire hybrid and if that's not evolving I don't know what is." Issac turned to Renesme. "You are still my favorite Cullen by the way, or should I say Black now?"

Renesme blushed happily, "Not yet, still have to seal the deal. Soon though." She smiled at Jake and then back at Issac.

"Yeah, can we not talk about how Jake is defiling my six year old daughter?" Bella said througha grimace. "You are still going to be living with us until you turn seventeen Renesme. I don't care if you have matured already." Bella had a mean motherly tone when she needed to.

"Mom, you really can't make me do that. Come one, you know Jake will always be there to protect me." Renesme argued.

"Edward, talk to your daughter." She commanded.

"Nessie, please you have to understand."

"Edward, Bella, come on, I wouldn't do anything that would come close to defiling her like that. I understand that she is six, but I do want to spend eternity with her." Jake retorted. I am not sure if anyone noticed the little look he gave me, as I was literally a few feet behind Edward and Bella, but I did and the blush just returned to my cheeks. Never again will I fall for that.

"Oh god, let's get out of here." I whispered to Issac as the two of us bolted, closing the door behind us. "I love them, but I am not going to get caught up in one of those fights. Renesme and Jacob were made to be stubborn and when both of them agree on something, they will get their way." I laughed cheerfully as Issac and I walked outside.

"I can see that." Issac joined in, "Where are we going by the way? I technically just got to town and haven't even made any accommodations of a place to stay yet."

"You're not staying with the Cullens?"

"Not as I know of. I'll get a hotel room later I guess, shouldn't be too bad." Issac shrugged. I really wanted him to come stay at my house, but I highly doubt my mom would let him. If I told her that I imprinted on him would she? Maybe as Kita was staying over tonight and I mean I already knew those two were going to go at it. I wonder how my mom will react when I bring a guy home for dinner. Great more things to worry about.

With everything going on from what Issac told us, my worries about my mother, and imprinting I really needed the fresh air to clear my head. I knew that look that Jake was giving me was suspicious, because of their topic at hand, but I didn't care anymore. Whatever the two of us did behind closed doors would never happen again. No matter what he tried I was never going to sleep with Jacob Black...again.

A/N: Did you guys expect that? I didn't expect that long history until I wrote it, just something I had in my head when I first started this story but never got a chance to explain. Hopefully it's clear for you all to read. Please review it really helps me write the chapters a little quicker. Also you see that I have Collin and Brady here as a category. The reason is because they will have a role in here, just not sure how to fit it in yet.

Anyways, please review! :)
