Nobody loves a Nobody. Riku found that out a long time ago. And a nobody can't pretend to be something he is not. Riku wishes he weren't a nobody. Truly he does, but once a heart is taken, you can't get it back. Unless you're Sora. Sora is just an amazing savior of the universe kind of guy who just happened to think Riku was his friend. And Riku continued to let him believe this. Continued being Sora's friend because Sora makes him feel like he has a heart. So he will always ignore the pains his chest feel, something akin to jealousy as Sora kisses Kairi goodnight. Because he knows: Nobody will ever love a nobody.
