Course of Love

When I would watch my best friend with her boyfriend, I could honestly say that I had no clue how she stayed in a relationship with Draco Malfoy. One would think that since it being Adonis in the flesh, I would be encouraging Hermione to hold on to him and never let go, but every once and while, ok every week, when ssomething would turn sour between the two of them, Blaise and I were always the ones that would have to pick up the pieces and put them back together. And a crying, Draco-deprived Hermione is not a fun Hermione.
I'm sure my boyfriend, Blaise Zabini, felt the same way when trying to sober up Draco enough to go apologize and win back his girlfriend, because it was always Draco's fault. Either he was being to vain, not being passionate about their relationship, or making a snide comment; it was always him initiating the fights. For that reason alone, I am always just about ready to strangle him.
This time had been a bad one, though. Merlin forbid that he does the one thing that would really piss off Hermione and send her into Must-Kill-Malfoy mode, but then again, when has that ever stopped him before?
He had insulted her cat. Poor Crookshanks was never really that great of a cat, and since he normally didn't allow Draco to sleep in Hermione's bed whenever he came over was just the icing on top of Draco's cake. So he did what any angry male would've done; he complained to Hermione and told her to sell it and he would buy her a new, less possessive cat. His girlfriend had promptly kicked him out of the Common, telling him never to bring his insensitive self back to see her.
Even though Blaise and I knew better; they couldn't live without each other.
So there I was: trying to nurse my best friend back to coherent sentences so she would be prepared when Draco magically returned, which I knew would be in maybe five minutes according to Blaise's predictions.
And when he did come, there was a teary, corny reunion, words of forgiveness and promises flying through the air, and plenty of snogging to go around.
I had, as always, sat on the plush leather couch, leaning against Blaise, "How does this always happen to them?"
"The course of true love never did run smooth." He smirked and chuckled a bit, "Especially when it's Draco and Hermione."

Title: Course of Love
Rating: K+
Summary: Whenever Draco and Hermione get in a spat, it's always Blaise and Ginny putting them back together. Because the course of love... Drabble, complete.
Notes: Told in the POV of Ginny; thought I should try something new for a change. :D The italicized part is the quote I choose to use and it's from A Mid-Summer's Night's Dream 1.1. Just wrote for fun so... what do you think?
