That Song.
That song.
It was stuck in his mind. As much as Shane Grey hated to admit it, he had loved hearing that song. It was slow and melodic and everything that Connect 3 no longer was. But Shane loved it.
It had reminded him of the days when Connect 3 was playing in Shane's garage and not in huge fan packed arenas. That was the kind of music that Shane had always loved playing. But after the record deal and all of the success, Shane had somehow been talked out of that music and a different, more overprocessed and popular sound had been tossed at Shane. Shane couldn't say no.
After that, it all fell down. Shane had started to grow angry. He had been angry at himself, his parents, his uncle Brown, Nate and Jason, the fans, the world. He was just angry. But that anger had stopped for a couple of seconds. It had stopped when he heard that song.
This is real, this is me.
Shane had sat down on his with his guitar until he learned the melody. He started to play it over and over again. It was all stuck in his mind, the melody, the lyrics, the voice.
Shane realized he had to find that girl. He had to find the person that had the ability to write music like that. He needed to find that person that seemed to be like him, the older version of himself.
He was going to find her, he was going to find her if it was possibly the last thing that he did. He needed to find that girl, that girl held everything for Shane. She held his love for music and his youth. He needed to find that feeling again. He needed to hear the rest of the song.
