Here was Jasper though, standing on guard as usual, perhaps to talk about something important, Carlisle mused.
"I was getting hungry and decided to come here instead of eating a box of kittens." The words rolled off his tongue nonchalantly with a shrug of his shoulders.
Carlisle wasn't sure to laugh or not, he decided against it. Jasper was getting much better with his self control and Emmett most likely wouldn't let him live it down if he ate a litter of kittens.
"Well I must say that is considerable control, Jasper." He ruffled through his files and looked down in a drawer to put them away when he heard a strange sound.
It sounded like a juice box in the process of being sucked dry. Carlisle looked up and cocked a blonde eyebrow at his son, Jasper, who has a bag of blood for a transfusion in his hand and was drinking it.
"Is that a straw in the transfusion bag?"
"Of course, I'm not an animal."
