I never meant for this to happen.

Any of it.

I thought this was what I wanted, but… it's gone too far.

Petty theft and power schemes were one thing, but this… this was too much.

They were going to kill a bunch of kids. Hundreds of them.

For no good reason that I could see.

Just because they could. Just to show off their new weapon.

There had to be a better way.

I guess I'm not that evil, after all.

Because I couldn't let them do it.

I had to do something.

So, I told him.

I leaked the right information at the right time.

I wasn't sure what he'd do with my hint. He's pretty washed-up these days.

But he didn't disappoint me.

He showed up just in the nick of time and saved the day.

Or at least the kids.

I didn't know their weapon was that good.

He couldn't save himself.

I always hated him.

I hated that smarmy, self-righteous, over-the-top good guy act he put on.

But I guess he could've done anything with all that strength, and he went the hero route.

Maybe it wasn't all acting, after all.

Good bye, Captain Hammer.
