Reverse Psychology

Kurogane couldn't tell whether Fai was genuinely happy or just pretending to be. Behind the happy-go-lucky smile and lively gestures, he knew that the magician Fai D. Fluorite had something to hide from. Everyone has something to hide from, to get away from, and to avoid in lieu of facing the demons of the past. In the warrior's mind, he saw that as pure cowardice.
Yes, it was an easy way to walk from the monsters that lurk from the psyche and dreams while one sleeps. It is easy to carry an emotional burden and value your own life as nothing compared to others, seeing them as more important than your own lifeblood and your own existence. The magician Fai D. Fluorite runs away the very thing that holds him back from knowing the people that surround him, crossing many worlds to escape the one that binds him to his unforgiving destiny. If reawakened, such pain and savagery would be unattached and agony would only reign supreme.
So no one would be involved, the magician would turn away and face the present. His real name unknown, mysteries cloak him and the carefree nature with gentle teasing would only be a façade. Kurogane knows for sure that whether or not Fai wants to have his past recognized; it is the tactic of reverse psychology that the magician uses. Defined as telling a person something that is the opposite of what you want them to do or actually believe; Fai would hide behind a smile so no one would be involved in his past, but sooner or later, his past would be unearthed and the sins that cling to the magician would disappear forever.
(A/N: This is my first Tsubasa drabble, so I apologize for any inaccuracies, but I know for sure that Kurogane and Fai look adorable together.)
