ANGEL – Ikkazu

Ikki never thought of himself as poetic, or even a real romantic at heart. It seemed too girly for him, too fabricated and sappy in that horribly sickening way.

Needless to say, Ikki was never one to fully enjoy any Shakespeare.

However, waking up that morning with the sunbeams reaching between the curtains to fall upon a sleeping form, Ikki thought he could change his mind about poetry. Kazu had to have been born simply to be the muse to all poets, and Ikki almost wished he knew enough words to convey how beautiful the blonde looked at that moment, asleep and vulnerable, with sunlight in his hair and making his skin glow.

He looked like an angel, that's all Ikki could think.

Slowly, lightly, so Kazu would wake up, Ikki started tracing a pattern across Kazu's shoulder blades until his finger started to tickle from the invisible hairs on Kazu's body. Ikki chose to then simply lie there, on his stomach, watching Kazu as he slowly entered the world of the waking.

"What are you doing?" Kazu asked groggily after he had gained enough coherency to notice Ikki looking at his back.

"Looking at your wings." Ikki stated with a grin, and Kazu scowled lightly. It was too early for this.

"I don't have wings. We're not even riding." He mumbled, choosing to bury his face in his pillow rather than continue talking to Ikki.

Ikki just gave a lighthearted laugh and leaned over to kiss Kazu's spine, right between his shoulder blades. "Yes you do."

Kazu made a muffled scoffing sound, but Ikki noticed his pink ears.

"You're my angel, baby."
