CHAPTER 1:
"Well, you seem to be doing fine"
I nod numbly at him and stared at my shoes. I didn't dare look at him.
My mother sat beside me and wrapped her arms around me. I felt like crying but I couldn't, I was done crying a long time ago. I already accepted my fate. I knew what would happen to me.
"What's the use?" I whispered, still not facing him. The man sighed and my mother's arms around me tightened. I hear her sobbing against my shoulder. They knew what I was going to say.
"I'm going to die anyways"

The silence was deafening.
My mother didn't look at me as usual. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying.
I fidgeted slightly in the passenger's seat.
"Goddammit!" My mother cursed as she abruptly stepped on the brakes. I felt my body jerk forward against my seat belt. I looked at her, Her head was hung low and her hair was covering her face as her body started to tremble.
"M-mom?"
"Don't!" She hissed, "Just don't!"
"I-I'm sorry" I whisper, "I'm sorry"

My mother locked herself in her room as usual.
Hanabi, my little sister walked up to me. Her eyes were just like mom's, puffy and red. She had been crying.
I smile warmly at her and pulled her into a tight hug. I caressed her hair as she wrapped her arms around my neck and sobbed against my shoulder. I tried to convince her that everything would be fine, just like how I would convince myself before. She tried to believe me but I knew that she doubt all the words I told her.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine"

It was raining.
My mother hasn't come out yet. I was beginning to worry about her.
I knocked on the door, "Mom?"
I tried to open the door but it was locked. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
I pressed my forehead against the door.
"I'm leaving now"
