Hi :) Long.. long … long time no read!. this was hidden in my mind for some years by now…

Hope you still remember this is made from one-shots… so there's theoretically no official end… or beginning. I watched an old series (hope someone guesses which one) and inspired me to do some of this.

Swan Princess

Derek seemed happier than ever. He couldn't take his eyes from her. She was safe, she was alive, and she would be his wife. His heart seemed to have gone mad, and make a wild rhythmic dance every time she was near him, and he couldn't stop looking at her, hug her hiding behind doors, and even sometimes stealing a kiss from her. After that night when he saw her die and come back to life, he couldn't be more sure of spending his life protecting that blonde girl he had known since childhood. They spent every day together after going back to Derek's castle, remembering back the old days, riding horses every time she felt sad about what had happened, Derek always had the solution and an invention to make her old pain go away.

Odette was now all dressed in her white gown. Her only thoughts while looking at the mirror, were about her dad. Her King "Willy" who wouldn't be there to see her marry the man she loved. A tear ran silently down her cheek, but she got rid of it before someone even noticed.

A month later after the Rothbart incident, Derek had proposed to her… in a proper way, and she had to deal with the pending matters of her own Kingdom. The economic benefits would be great, and she and Derek would have to choose a proper location to reside, Counselors agreed, to Odette's concern, that restored, the Swan Castle would be a great spot to start building an entire town who would join both kingdoms, without having to cross the sea as Odette did every summer. "If I survived that psychopath, then I can turn that castle in a place to live, and erase all bad memories once and for all" she thought to herself, after considering going back to that castle.

"You look gorgeous my dear" Said Queen Uberta, who had her hair styled in the form of a swan. That almost makes her laugh a bit. She went back to the mirror, and found an strange note in the corner of the vanity table, along with white roses.

"Blue Fairy: Sorry I can't make it to the wedding. I bet you look radiant as you always have" P.S. Roses are harmless

Odette smiled, she knew who they were from, it seemed like a distant memory, but just a few years had passed from then, he was someone she would never forget, and so would Derek…

FLASHBACK: Odette 7 years Derek 8 years

Six younglings were presented again this summer, they were Derek's cousins, the Shellford brothers they called them, or the six L, as their names started all with an L

Dark blonde gray eyed boys, got down of the carriage, announced by Chamberlain, Lucius, Lyle, Landon, Laurence, Lars and Lancel. At least five of them could be a nightmare for Odette, by playing pranks to her along of course with Derek's help, or simply ignoring her in every game the royals were supposed to share. This year, they came with their little brother, a five year old called Lancel, who was just a few years younger than Odette was.

The princess felt relief. As two times in the past, when Derek's five cousins had ignored her completely when making teams to play, the sixth, and smaller of them had stay by her side.

She wondered if he was with her just because of his limited sight, as it was obvious from the huge glasses which made his eyes look smaller than a seed, or maybe it was just because he didn't quite get along with his brothers too...

-Wanna play something else? She said to him, intending to go back inside the castle and play some chess or any other non - physical activity

- Let's do bug catching! Smiled the small blonde kid, looking at her with enthusiasm

-OK, we should go and get some boxes then...

They brought fine wooden boxes, and went to a field near the lake.

-You're Lancel, right? I'm...

-You're Odette, The rich girl from next kingdom, is it?

- Kind of- She said with a forced smile, besides he was 3 years more less smaller than she was, so a 5 year old was still honest and straight forward

-My mom says you're marrying Derek one day, what is that? He said while looking at some golden scarab passing by a tree

- "It means... Uhhhh... That I have to be together with him always... Or something. " Odette didn't know how to precisely explain the proper concept of in heritage, politics and marriage.

-"But why'd you wanna do that?" He said, following the golden bug and grabbing it with his small hand

-"I really don't know..., for my Kingdom I guess"... She said offering The wooden box with a glass cover to catch the scarab.

Golden scarabs were common on those lands, the sun reflected on their shells and it seemed like the grass was covered with coins, mobile coins.

-"Look! Another! " The blonde kid said, running to a bunch of trees nearby.

They played and had fun trying to find the most weird, or the most shining one, until they saw something

-"Lancel, you won't Believe it, look here!

On a trunk, there stood a blue wing silver butterfly

-"It's a blue fairy!"

Odette smiled, and got near it, but the butterfly went up the tree

-"Such a shame, it was beautiful"

-"I got it! Don' worry" he said, leaving the wooden box on the floor and rushing to climb the tree, as it had many holes and small branches, he easily went up

-"Wait for me! " Odette said, worrying he might fall somewhere, and as he went taller and taller, when he was reaching the insect, the inevitable happened, his small feet slipped from a branch and in a second he was falling dramatically, luckily she hurried and managed to grab his arm, so the little scared boy was hanging from the tree, grabbing Odette's hand.

-"That was close" She said, lying on a branch and grabbing his arm tighter, he just looked at her with frightened eyes, then she heard a "cracking sound", The branch they were on was being ripped because of the weight, so she thought quickly and balanced Lancel out to a nearer branch down on his left, but the pendulum force of balancing made the branch she was on just fell to the ground

-" Oh damn!" And with a loud sound, she fell between the remaining branches, scratching her hands and face, while landing on the ground

Lancel went down as fast as he could, he had lost his glasses, so the blurriness of his sight was inevitable, then when he got to Odette, she saw him, blinked a couple of times and said with a dizzy look

-"You'r eyes are beautiful blue, like the fairy.." And She passed out

He tried to pull her, and started crying for help, all he felt was despair, because as hard as he tried, he couldn't move her more than a few steps, so he began running towards the castle, as fast as he could , falling a couple of times

A guard nearby saw him, and ran to see what happened, bringing Odette back and calming the little Lancel, as he was crying out loud because he thought she died, but she had just fainted.

-"My my!, how are you feeling my darling!? Cried the queen, when Odette opened her eyes again

-"Ouch" She said, grabbing the back of her head. "Where...?

"Calm down, you're in the castle now, and I think there's someone here who wants to see you eagerly " the Queen said with a smile

Odette's mind was suddenly filled with the impossible thought that it might be Derek, but on the door was standing the small Lancel with a wild flower on his hand,

"He refused to leave your side all this time" said the Queen, "come in my little one"

-"I'm sorry" he said, and some tears began dropping, "My brothers said you almost died because I'm stupid"

-"Don't listen to them, you hear me!?, I'm stronger than you think, don't let anyone call you stupid" Odette replied with a smile

He began wiping loudly and went to hug her.

Later, Odette felt strong enough to go and have dinner on the main table, despite Queen Uberta's insistence on staying in bed, but some voices made her slow her pace

-"So, maybe instead of calling you bug boy, you could be the princess killer! It sounds cooler huh!?" You could hear the loud laughs, those could'n be other than Derek's cousin

She entered the room and soon everybody silenced

-"I'm far from being dead, besides, if it wasn't for Lancel, I would probably still be out there in the ground, so you're welcome in my Kingdom anytime, and Queen Uberta has a reward for you" She said firmly

Derek was about to say something, but to everybody's surprise, Lancel interrupted

-"I'll be the one marrying Odette"! He said so determined, with his small hands on the table, but a second after, his brothers began laughing again.

-"I wouldn't worry about the competition Derek" said one of the boys with tears of laugh

-"Well, I certainly wouldn't mind" said Derek also laughing

-"So you wait and see!" Lancel almost screamed, and ran to the hallway with Odette chasing for him

After she found him, he was near the fireplace in a couch

-"Here's the reward" said Odette being followed by a servant carrying a strawberry cake

Lancel's eyes shone and soon they were happily eating the cake

-"When I grow up, I'l marry you Odette" he said drinking some milk from a glass "It's a promise, I want to be always with you, and we can play everyday" said biting a strawberry from the cake

Odette couldn't help but smile

-"I'm sure you'll change your mind someday" She said, knowing he surely didn't quite understood the concept yet, but it was cute hearing him say that.

The years passed, Odette celebrated her 17th birthday, and it was time for the archery contest they had on Derek's kingdom every 4 years, as Derek had turned 18 five months before, he would enter the contest again this time, as next year most likely they had to decide on the union of the kingdoms by marriage, and as a King he couldn't participate, so he was sure to invite all of his relatives, Counts and people from the nearby towns had invitations for the next year, and his mother made sure every single one had the invitations handled.

Odette was sitting on a bench, watching Bromley and Derek practice their best shows to a distant target, joking about having apple targets, above someone's head, when a trumpet just sounded, being followed by six horses

-"Look, it's the Shellford cousins!" Bromley said, letting down his last arrow, from wich he hadn't have a clear target shot, and he knew how mocking they were...

On the front, strangely, an unrecognizable rider came by...

-"Hope you have improved your aim for the target! Cousin!"

Derek looked with sharp eyes, but he couldn't tell exactly which cousin he was

-"Lucius?...

-"Not exactly, I thought you had an eagle's sight, hoped you recognized me right away"

-Lancel!? ... Exclaimed Odette with more uncertainty, as she couldn't believe her eyes, last time she saw him, he was still the small blonde kid, with big glasses, and before her, there stood a tall man, even taller than she was, with big grey eyes, no glasses, and long blonde straight hair.

- Odette? Princess Odette?... He turned his head blushing right away, and went down his brown horse, walking towards her

- "I was longing for the time we could meet again, regarding in your company"

Said, taking gallantly her hand and kissing her softly.

-"Haha... Why so formal?" She said blushing softly too, as she didn't expect that kind of treatment.

Derek put his bow down and went near them immediately

-"Are you the same... bug ...boy?

The other brothers went near them, and stared silently, uncommonly to them, as they always were the ones telling him nicknames or leaving him behind

- "It was a main heirloom matter, our father is bed sick, and he decided that the one brother who earns the highest rank in your Kingdom's archery contest will be the first heir to our legacy..." Laurence reluctantly replied, he was one of the brothers on the middle . -"We came for the archery contest... Our... Brother has being practicing eagerly for some time now..."

-"And surely I'll be happy to join" said Lancel, taking Bromley's arch and shooting an arrow from were he was standing, and hitting right in the middle, like a total pro.

The three of them stared not believing their eyes

-"Wow! It's just that I thought about those glasses you used to have..." asked Odette in awe

-"My eyes have improved a lot... for those archery targets, but you don't need glasses to see how beautiful you have become, my Odette"

-"What did you just said? ... Asked Derek just turning to him

-"I'm just surprised by the beauty of my fair princess, which can't be unnoticed, of course, I'm honoring my promise"

-"Promise? What..."

-"Thanks Lancel, you don't have to be so proper, it's odd.. "

-"My I escort you back to the castle Odette?

-"Odette will be returning with us, thank you" Said Derek firmly

-"But I insist" he said, lifting her from the waist, and sitting her on the horse as if she didn't weight more than a feather

"Wow! Lancel, thank you but I …"

-"She'll return with us, I said" Derek's voice was imperative

Then Odette exclaimed out of being uncomfortable -"Ok, you know, I can return on my own guys" and with a movement, she lifted the front part of the horse, and with a neigh, the horse galloped back to the castle, and from far she exclaimed -"Lancel! You can take my horse!"

-"I have never seen someone gallop my horse 'Windy' that way before" And with a last glance to the confused Derek, Lancel and his brothers went away.

-"But who does he think he is?! The prince was talking to Bromley while having dinner on the large table, and watching on the other end how Lancel was talking vividly with Odette.

-"Just a few years ago he was just a weakling..." He said taking another sip of his wine -"And how old is he anyway?

-"He is just 15 I think" replied Bromley, biting some meat from his plate.

-"I would like..." Lancel said, making all in the table look his way, by making his glass sound with a spoon

"-I would like to make a toast, for today, tomorrow and the Kingdom's prosperity, for the grace of my beautiful princess, whom has promised a token of her generosity in tomorrow's contest, a fair kiss to the Archery contest winner!"

Odette blushed and laughed nervously, after all it was customary for the time, to have such tradition, she was part of the court of the Queen, and she wasn't married yet, a maiden by right, of noble birth, which were the only requisites to behold, yet no one had dared before to ask her for such prize

"Who would even want such a thing?" Derek said taking a new glass of wine and finishing all in one gulp. -"Come on Bromley, I'll lend you that stuff you asked me"

But that was just an excuse, as when Bromley asked what Derek was talking about, he had already come down to the practice courtyard "The butts" they called them, and he began shooting one arrow after the other, missing most of them

-"Derek... Are you all right?" Asked Bromley confused, because they should have gone to sleep and prepare for the next day tournament

-"We almost shared a ki... Kingdom, you know! Last party after the traditional dance, but now…" He shot another target far from the centre

-"It's ok to kiss anyone! Even my cousin!" He shot another failed target

"So... It's that what your worried about!?" Laughed Bromley... "Maybe you just like her and you're bit jealous, fess up!"

Then, on his eight shot, he had a clear shot to the centre of the target

-" I'd like her better if she didn't mess up with the tournament, or anything at all"

Maybe that was the reason, he didn't know for sure, inside he knew now he HAD to win that tournament, not just to win the prestige of being the best archer of one of the greatest kingdoms, but to prevent anyone who may want to kiss Odette, especially Lancel, the image of Odette kissing him made him feel sick, there was something about him that didn't feel right.

So the day of the tournament came, there was much ceremony, trumpets, colorful flags with the shield of arms of Derek's kingdom, and all the categories were presented, there were official judges for each category, and some of the archers made their entrances on glamorous dressed horses, some other were people from near towns who came by foot, or in a donkey carriage, so for the people in town, it was a party truly worth to see, there was free food stands filled with cheerful people who came just to watch the tournament, they served tart de Bry, Crispels, and Muskyls, fresh from the sea, and some people were having their own food stands, selling meat Pottage, onion ale soup served over bread and some other delicious traditional food and goodies

The six horses of the Shellford brothers came gallantly near the royal stand, to present themselves as it was customary and they went to the side to enter the registry stand, along with many other competitors, but Lancel went nearer to greet Odette, he was wearing his long straight hair in a ponytail, and had a white armor shining gown.

-"My princess Odette, It's an honor for me to be here next to you today, thanks for your noble support, you look radiant today" and he handled her a white rose

-"It's still weird for you to be so... ceremonious, we're friends after all, ain't we?" Said Odette with a sincere smile, taking the rose and attaching it to her hair, she had a single braid of her golden hair, and a blue long dress.

-" It's late for the registry, cousin" Derek behind him neared galloping "that rose looks odd in your hair... Just saying" and as fast as he came, the prince went to the golden stand, to prepare for the long distance archery competition and the horse moving target tournament

Odette, after glancing and frowning at Derek, felt a sudden strange warm sensation behind her ear, without her noticing, some sparkling red particles emerging from the rose Lancel gave her went near his inner ear right into her skull, and then she felt her mind in blank, like all her ideas of the moment had gone, her accompany ladies stared at her as she went down the stairs, other people from the court were busy taking refreshments, and as soon as the ladies were about to ask, Odette turned her head and said seriously in a down toned voice "don't follow me"

She knew exactly were to go, and she kept walking without greeting some people nearby who served her in the castle. She kept walking towards the forest as if something inside her told her where to go, she felt like in a dream, but she didn't want to wake up, she was curious of what she would find at the end, then behind some block of big trees she saw Lancel standing and waiting for her

-"I...? Lancel? She said with a lost gaze"

-"Odette... I don't have much time... You have to trust me"... -"I control... Used to control some kind of magic... Some dark one, but It's consuming me slowly...

As he spoke, some shining particles began coming out of his chest... He seemed in pain, severe pain...

Odette recovered after a few seconds and went near him -"What's this?... What are you talking about?!" She touched his chest trying to get rid of the particles, but a force pushed her strongly to the ground

I... made a deal... I gave something I can't have back, I gave my soul... for powerful dark magic who was supposed to make me a great man!... I don't have much time left... Maybe a few days and this dark arts will consume me to death... So I want to tell you something...

Odette was recovering from the hit, and she look deep into his eyes

"Princess Odette! ... I... I love you! And I want to spend the rest of my life with you!" Lancel said, closing his eyes strongly, and going near the ground hugging her suddenly

"Lancel... I..."

"You must hate me now..."

"No... Not at all..." She said in a low voice, ending the embrace

From behind a three near the road came by a figure with his horse walking slowly...

-"What is happening here?... " The prince said looking at them in the floor almost hugging

Lancel stood up quickly and stared at him, Derek stared back defiantly, then he looked upon Odette and said

-"Odette, if you want this, I won't be an obstacle in your way... But I need an explanation! Why are you choosing him over me?!" He said pointing at the blonde haired boy.

-"Derek... I..." She couldn't explain about the dark arts, neither about the few days he had left, she stood up and lowered her head

-"Don't you realize you're bothering her?" Asked Lancel, without moving his eyes from Derek's

"This is non of your business" answered Derek without hesitation

-"Then, maybe I could teach you a lesson" And unshiething his sword, Lancel advanced towards him with a grin

"Whathever, but I know something you don't! Odette is mine!

Both men began a fierce sword fight and the clashes began intensifiying, when Lancel, with a red ray of light pushed Derek forward and into the ground, he was confused but with one jump stood up quickly.

Odette saw in shock, commanding them to stop immediately, but none of them listened

Lancel felt dizzy after using that power, and bent to one side, lowering his defense Odette saw it coming, Derek's sword was going directly to Lancel's ribs, and in a second, she ran between the two and covered her head with her hands expecting the blow of Derek's sword, but he managed to stop before even touching her.

She opened her eyes and saw Derek in front of her, with surprise in his eyes, as he almost discharged his own sword over her, and for a second, she saw a sparkle of sadness in his eyes too

-"Derek... Please... I... You have to understand..." Behind her, Lancel fell to the ground

Derek looked other way, putting his sword back to it's sheathe

-"I have to go... I'm late… I shouldn't have…" And with his incomplete phrase, he turned his back walking away between the trees

She strangely felt the urge to cry, but kept herself still, when she turned back, Lancel was sitting in the ground.

-"I... Have deceived everyone... I control my brothers, even my father is sick because of me... I'm a monster " He said as a tear began falling from his eye

-Lancel... There must be a way to go back to normal...

-"Love... That's the cure... And for you Odette, now you're my blue fairy, ... Odette..." He went near her and took her hands. "can you love me?…"

Loud music in the back sounded, they had probably started the tournament already, and that distracted them from the moment.

-" I"ll wait after the tournament is over, please think about it Odette, you can save me!"

And he dissapeared behind the trees, Odette went back to her stand were her ladies were worried she might not come back, she clearly seemed worried, but denied every time they asked her if something was wrong.

The long distance shot tournament started, it was amazing watching all the men shoot their arrows, and between them two people were eye catching, Derek with almost perfect shots and the long hair Lancel, with perfect shots to the 100 points, Odette realized now why Lancel seemed so different, it was all part of that magic consuming him inside, but giving him amazing looks, and power, she truly wanted to help him, yet she feared that, for some time now, her heart was somewhere else... She saw Derek shoot an arrow and her heart bumped.

Finally, it came just between them, they had to shoot the arrow at the same time, if they draw, then the targets had to be taken far behind.

The air became thick as they both concentrated, the wind began blowing moving the trees and releasing some leaves, both man were ready, steady, no sound was heard, even Queen Uberta held her breath, then the whistle for shooting sounded and they released the tensed arrow, surprisingly both getting the 100 points.

Strong applause was heard, Derek prepared his next arrow without even looking in Lancel's direction, and catching with a glance where Odette sat, between the crowd of nobles, but turning his head quickly.

Lancel felt weak, he had abused his power today, his head felt heavy, as if someone was standing on his back, but he was about to win... He just needed one more clear shot, and everything would be over...

Both of them prepared, the wind was stronger than before, and as Lancel kept concentrating, his own shadow from the twilight behind, began throwing some sparkles, red sparkles. -"I must win, lend me your power!" He thought several times to himself, without realizing his shadow was turning into something else, then more sparkles came from him, causing him pain, a sudden whirl began forming around him, a shadow winged monster began forming behind his back, the crowd began spreading, some screams were heard, and Odette's ladies insisted they had to leave that place, but Odette ran towards the whirl, Derek was confused, and watched incredulous, stepping back slowly, then he saw her.

-"Go back! It's dangerous here!" He commanded her

-"But he is going to die!" She said, watching Lancel go up the ground as if an invisible thread was lifting him, like a puppet, Derek took an abandoned shield from the ground and stood in front of her.

The big shadow monster came out from his back, leaving Lancel falling to the ground just like an empty vessel, some of the archers nearby tried to throw arrows at it, but they just passed like if it was made of air.

People ran in every direction, Derek stood in front of Odette intending to protect her, after all, even if she felt different about him, his own feelings hadn't changed at all, whatever those feelings meant.

The other Shellford brothers came near, with fire arrows, trying to shoot the beast, but it was worthless, the demon, turning to them began directing the fire arrows towards them, in a demonstration of it's psychic powers.

Lancel who was on the ground seemed now weak, with a skinnier figure, he opened his eyes, and in front of him all his brothers were trying to protect him. He couldn't believe it, even after all he had done, they were there, risking their lives for him.

He managed to put his hands on the ground and gather strength to get up again, his brothers were trying to avoid the arrows that the beast directed towards them with their small shields, then a bunch of 20 arrows floated near the shadow demon, menacingly pointing to his older brother Lucius, with It's power, the beast turned them on fire, Lancel was just standing then, but one of his brothers who saw him stand commanded him to run, Lucius the eldest brother, stood between the demon and his brothers, and in a second, the 20 arrows were rapidly traveling all It's way to the Shellford brothers, but Lancel couldn't stand it, he ran as fast as he could and managed to jump in front of Lucius, watching almost in slow motion as the arrows pierced his own arm, and legs, his ribs near to his heart, their brothers watched in horror, running to where he fell, but from every place the arrows had entered Lancel's body, a ray of light came out, becoming bigger and bigger, making the shadow beast growl loudly, and after a minute, the beast disappeared.

Odette saw the blowing wind disappear, she stood behind Derek, who just turned to her

-"The nightmare... It's gone" She said, hugging him out of the blue.

The prince, who didn't expect that gesture blushed and as Odette ended the embrace, they both walked fast to where Lancel was lying unconscious.

Derek was cautious, you could never know if everything was really over, and he kept watching over the place, some castle guards came along with them, thinking Lancel could be still dangerous. Odette felt a sudden chill, like if someone was watching her.

Lancel seemed unconscious, and his brothers were talking about the event. Derek began arguing about how black magic was prohibited in every kingdom since 18 years ago, a year before Odette was born.

In the blink of an eye, Odette jumped and threw Derek to the floor. Derek, surprised by having her now over him, looked at her frightened eyes, and he saw it, an arrow had being shot from behind the trees, intending to kill him right in the place.

All the guards went immediately to look for the source of the arrow

-"Odette... What was that?"... Asked, Derek looking at her surprised

-"I had a strange feeling, and then I saw it... And just reacted... I have to protect my fiancee after all" The princess said, while standing again on her feet and taking off the dust

Derek just smiled, without realizing Lancel was already awake.

-"I wish I was worth of standing along with you, my brothers..." Now he understood that love could be defined in a more wide context, his own self sacrifice stopped the growing devil inside of him, so light had vanished the shadow.

The days passed, and Lancel Shellford was judged unworthy of any title, and confined to his own land, he knew how much had he caused, to his own family and himself.

On his own isolation, in a castle cell, Odette came to say good bye

-"Lancel... " he seemed tired,

-"I know you'll have a prosperous life... My princess, and as my feelings for you won't change, I´m aware of what I have becomed… "

-"You told me you wanted to be a good man… Yet you already were one…good bye Lancel…"

-"Princess Odette!" he said, taking her hand softly, then he looked in direction of the door, letting go of her hand…

-"Is there something else…?" she asked a bit concerned.

-"Nevermind…" he said looking down. He had seen what her true feelings were, and in a glance, he saw her Prince standing outside. Even if he was granted another chance, he knew her heart would never be his, and now he had to start a new life from the beginning, so he wanted to make it worth.

"I'll always be here for my blue fairy".

When Odette stepped outside, Derek was already waiting for her.

-"Derek?… didn't expected you here… why are you here? Did they discovered who tried to kill you already?"

-"I just… I can be anywhere I want, cant´t I? It's my castle after all!" He said looking in other direction

Odette smiled, and with a grin she said

-"Don't tell me you're jealous?"…

Derek looked at her outraged

-"You wish I was! but nothing it's decided yet, I still have many fish in the sea out there"

Odette wasn't in the mood to fight, so she just assented

-"Of course… you're right…let's go back, I have to get ready to go back to my Kingdom…"

Derek, who expected a different response, was a bit shocked.

-"Are you coming? or what?" she said looking back at his stunned face

He turned his head quickly, but he made something even weirder, he stretched his arm so Odette could hold him like a proper gentleman would do with a lady.

Odette grinned again at his action, and how he was avoiding to look her in the eyes, but without saying anything, like if she was sure for a bit that she could trust him for once, she took his arm and began walking. The warm sensation made her feel happy for a moment. He might be, after all, the one.

END OF FLASH BACK

"Would you love me Derek? Until the day I die?"

"No" he said seriously. "Much longer"…

May write in the future another one-shot about how the newlyweds lived, the wedding night tradition, and honeymoon… yet I have to keep it classified for all ages ;)
