Without You

You told me once,

About what happened,

On that first,

Fateful day,

And how Jack died,

With the one he loved,

And you watched him,

Waste away,

I always thought,

I'd be strong,

And I always thought,

I'd cope without you,

Now I'm just trying,

To go on,

It's so much easier,

To say than do,

I just got you back,

Now I've lost you again,

I've never been,

So on my own,

And there isn't,

Anyone but you,

That could stop me,

From feeling alone,

So I'd drive far away,

But my eyes are full,

Of tears I can't,

See through,

I always thought,

I'd be strong,

But I'm dying,

Without you.

Now I'm sad . . . At least we know what comes after this.
