"What are you doing exactly?"

The boy looked up hesitantly at the girl's voice—Yep, it was her—before slamming his head back down into his folded arms.

"I was sleeping," he mumbled grumpily, feeling his face heat because knew those large, pretty eyes of hers were watching him intently.

"That's very unlike you, Naru-Naru-senpai," Kiri mused to him.

Narumi made a groaning slash growling noise. "It's summer." He was still mumbling. "The heat makes me tired."

What was up with her lately? Ever since they had, well, kissed she'd been talking his ear off. Why?

He suddenly lifted his head, intending to tell the hair-cutting prodigy that it was very unlike her to be talking to him so much.

He had his mouth open and he was fully prepared to launch into rant mode if need be, but something stopped him.

"Mussyhead?" He squeaked out instead before clearing his throat. "Why's your face all…pinkish?"

It was pinkish, indeed. And at the mention of the pinkishness of it, Kiri's face turned a shade darker, into a light red color.

"It's summer," she mumbled, averting her eyes instantly, expression uncharacteristically demure. "The heat's making my face flush."

"Huh," Narumi breathed out, feeling warm and stuffy all of a sudden as he sat straighter in his chair. "I wonder if it's the summer that makes me want to kiss you?"

Kiri's face darkened into a curious maroon color as her eyes widened. But Narumi's expression stayed very calm as he fanned himself with a sigh. He didn't care what he said or did anymore. It was so hot.

"Narumi?"

He turned back to her in shock. "Wha—"

But she put her hands up to his face and pulled him towards her, kissing him deeply.

"Um." He stated intelligently as they pulled apart, faces both flushed.

"It's so hot," she complained nonchalantly, fanning herself.

"Er…yeah," he muttered, clutching his chest as sweat poured off of him.

But Kiri was smirking.

It's summer. The heat makes her want to kiss him, too.
