"Let me go."

"N-No."

He glared. She tightened her grip.

"Let me go."

"I w-wont."

He sighed, giving up. "So you're saying that my inner-child needs a hug." She nodded. "Ridiculous." He tried shaking her off. He could smell what kind of shampoo she used. It was distracting.

"P-Please, Sasuke-kun, you-you have to h-hear me out." He hadn't resorted to violence… yet. She still had a chance. "Sasuke-kun you have un-unresolved issues from when you were a child. The constant competition for your f-father's love, the sudden a-annihilation of your clan by your brother-"

"Have you been reading my files?" The only ones that knew this were the Hokage and a few people in ANBU. And the dobe, his mind added.

"I-I have."

"Why?"

"I wanted to know what h-happened to you."

"Why?" The earlier suspicion had turned into surprise.

She looked astonished that he didn't know the answer. "I want to help you."

"And how do you propose to do that, then? Hug me to my death?"

Her whole face turned red and he hated himself for wondering how far it reached. "I… w-well, no – but you really do need a hug. Your inner-child, I m-mean," she was quick to add.

He was sure that if she weren't holding onto his arm she would frantically wave her hands around. He had to fight off a smirk because of her cuteness. In the next moment Sasuke would do something he later on admitted having not fully thought through. He hugged Hyuuga Hinata - of his own volition. Unknown to him every single part of the conversation they just had disappeared from Hinata's mind as soon as his arms went around her.

"S-S-Sasuke-kun?"

"What?"

"U-Um… w-what are you d-doing?"

He smirked and finally decided that he liked the smell of her hair. "I've been told that my inner-child was in desperate need of a hug."

"Oh." She guessed that sounded reasonable enough. Besides it was quite comfortable. So, nodding dumbly, with her mouth slightly open, she put her arms around him.

OoOoO

A/N: Well, this one has been lying around for quite some time now. Just fixed a few minor things in order to make it flow better. Don't know yet if I succeeded.

Don't like the pairing? You shouldn't have read.

Bad grammar? Well, duh.
