The Eternal Struggle
Two wary combatants circled each other, carefully observing for openings and slips in the opponents defense. They had barely become adults, still retaining the visage that signaled their youth, yet the two fought with passion and fire far beyond their years.
One fair and one dark, they complimented each other, and opposed as well. While one burnt with silent cold fury, the other was ignited by a red- hot flame. They were the proverbial balance, the tao of the world. Fire and ice, darkness and light, the two forces clashed with each other.
There was no need to use words to describe their rivalry; it was palpable in the air. Both remained unvocal, and moved to attack. Blow met by parry, over and over again, neither side would allow the other to gain any ground or advantage. Finally, after the two had fought nearly to exhaustion, the dark side yielded.
Breathing heavily, the dark one nodded, acknowledging her defeat.
Quistis laughed and quickly climbed into the passenger side of the garden car, while Selphie still sulking, ungracefully collapsed into the back seat. Somehow, the idea that two renowned heroines, saviors of the world, would fight over who rode shotgun both was personifying, and ludicrous. The driver shrugged, he didn't feel that he was adequately paid to judge the behavior of the two SeeDs in question. And so the happy, and not so happy passengers of the car drove off into the sunset.
AN; me feeling weird, sorry! Originally this was serious, but I'm too tired to care. (
