Disclaimer: Do those foolish Watchmen seriously believe that I own them?

A/N: Yeah, sorry about no new chapters to 'Why Are We Watching The Watchmen?' as of yet...I'll try to do something soon...don't worry...

So, instead, here's some really short Rorschach X Silk Spectre II!!! I just had another idea for these two also, so expect another R X SS II fic later...for some reason!!! It'll probably be the next chapter of the before-mentioned fic...

Laurel Jane Juspeczyk wasn't exactly sure how, but somehow she had ended up going on a walk through the park with none other than Mr. Psycho-Vigilante himself, Walter Kovacs A.K.A. Rorschach. As far as she could tell, she had been forced into this by requests of Jon and Dan, who figured that she should try to at least be on good terms with Rorschach, considering he was one of their most valuable 'allies'.

Scoffing to herself, Laurie thought, 'Those bastards...they just didn't want to have to deal with him, so they stuck ME to deal with this crazy fruit-loop!! Goddamn them...Jon better give me some really good apology-sex when I get home tonight...'

As they were walking, Laurie looked at Walter, and cringed; the poor guy really was ugly. His messy blood-red hair, his large nose, his pimple-covered clammy skin, his emotionless expression...it was hard to even be near him without feeling sick. Laurie was doing all she could to keep herself from puking. She also wondered why he was carrying a 'THE END IS NIGH' sign, as well.

"Ms. Jupiter..." Walter spoke up, and his words were barely audible.

Laurie sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, dreading to hear what this smelly nut-job had to say to her. "...What is it?"

"Thanks for keeping me company...take this." Walter, who was bending down at the time, stood back up straight, and held out a single rose in front of Laurie's shocked face. The poor flower hung limp in his tight grasp, and several of its petals had already fallen off. Laurie was speechless, frozen on the spot. Walter waited patiently for her to finally make a move.

"...Well?" Walter asked.

Shakily, Laurie reached out, and took the flower. For a moment, their hands touched. A blush formed on Laurie's cheeks; she didn't really understand why she was suddenly getting so nervous like this. After all, it was just a stupid rose, right? She immediately considered disposing of the flower, since this freak had gotten his germs all over it and everything, but instead she held it in a gentle fashion as if it was very dear to her.

Walter gave a slight nod, as if he had just completed some sort of mission. "So...shall we continue? Will get dark soon..."

"Uh..." Laurie blinked a few times, "Uh, y-yes, let's...let's go..."

For the rest of the walk through the park, Laurie's eyes were glued to the little rose she held in her hands. Every now and then, Walter would quickly glance at her. Laurie closed her eyes, and let out a heavy sigh. A tiny smile graced her lips.

'I guess...he's not SO bad, I suppose...' She thought, shrugging.
