Disclaimer: I own nothing involved in twilight
I just decided to write this because I could not find this part anywhere in any other fanfiction. If there is one like this, than I am sorry, and please send me a link because I want to read it
I stood in the alley, watching the seconds tick by on the clock tower. Not much longer. I shut my eyes, blocked all the thoughts from my head as best I could and waited. I did not want to hear Felix and Dimetri as they came upon me, I would rather it went quick, so I could be with her sooner.
I envisioned Bella in my mind's eye. Down to the last beautiful detail. As I looked at her, her face twisted with sadness and she started to scream my name. it sounded like she was trying to stop me from doing this. Well, she would try to stop me, of course, but…nothing short of her falling into my arms right here and now would prevent my death.
The bell began to chime. 1…2…3… I could still here Bella screaming my name. It sounded even louder now, perhaps it was growing as my final death grew closer. 4…5…6… "Edward! Edward!!" I took a step closer to the mouth of the alley. 7…8…9… "EDWARD, EDWARD!" 10…11… here we go…
Then something soft fell into my arms. It was so very soft and so very familiar. Her scent washed over me, burning its way to my heart. I opened my eyes.
There was Bella, her face streaked with tears as she stared up at me looking terrified. Here she is, my love, my Bella. I touched her face. My angel. "Amazing," I whispered. "Carlisle was right."
"Edward," she breathed. "We're not dead, but we will be if you don't stop."
Not dead?
Then I heard Felix's and Dimetri's thoughts in my head. What is he doing to that girl? Is he hunting?
I instantly shoved Bella away against the alley wall and turned away to face the oncoming storm.
