A/N I don't even know where I'm going with this, so head's up.

Five Things About Being An ER Doctor

1. Not enough sleep.

You never get enough sleep as ER doctor, especially between shifts. The only time you get a good sleep is when you're off and even that's not guaranteed. If you aren't off and get enough sleep, then you're not working hard enough.

2. Dating a coworker is inevitable.

You will most likely end up dating a coworker at least once. If you manage to avoid dating a coworker, then you are one of the few and far between.

3. Romantic relationships are always complicated.

You will never have a plain, simple, good old fashion relationship again. They will be always be complicated for some reason, whether it be because you're dating a coworker (See number 2), or you're dating someone who isn't a doctor and doesn't like that you are never home.

4. Getting attached to some of your patients is completely normal.

If you get attached to you patients, that makes you a better doctor. Although, the feeling is worse than normal if they die, but you'll try even harder because you care so much.

5. You are important.

If you ever doubt whether you're making a difference, look at some of your patients, some of the lives you've changed for the better. That will always set you straight.

A/N This was supposed to be somewhat funny, but I guess that didn't happen as much as I wanted it to. Review please!
