Hinata's POV:

I sat at a bench in Yakumo Park, painting eggs. I know it seems childish, but I enjoy it. As I was painting my, what was it, third egg? Well, as I painted it, Sabaku no Gaara sat next to me, staring at the eggs. It was Easter (I don't care if they live in Japan, they have Easter, damn it!) in Konohagakure.

"What are you doing?" he asked in monotone.

"Well, I'm painting eggs," I said. Yep, I had lost my stutter.

"Why?"

"Well, I find comfort in it. I don't really know why, but it's a tradition for me to paint eggs on Easter," I explained.

"Easter? What is Easter?" he asked again, unable to hide the curiosity in his voice. I sighed.

"Well, Easter is the celebration of resurrection, because Jesus died on the cross for us."

"Explain to me, what happened?" Dang, he sure asks a lot of questions!

"Well, people sin, which means they do bad things. Jesus was the son of god. He was supposed to die for mankind, and the day before people hung him on the cross, he prayed so much he began to sweat blood. The day he was to be hung," I paused a moment to put a layer of paint on the egg.

"They nailed his wrists to either side of the cross, and his feet to the bottom. They whipped him with a whip that had stones and metal woven into it, and placed a crown of thorns onto his head, mocking him and saying he was "King of the Jews". When he died, he had 36 deep gashes. To insure he was dead, they took a spade and jabbed his ribs, and blood and water came out. They buried him… well, I don't remember where, but then a rich man, who was a secret disciple to Jesus, asked to have Jesus' body. Once the man got the body, he wrapped it in cloth and put him in a tomb, they then rolled stones in the cave's entrance so nobody could steal his body. When they later checked on his body, they couldn't find it. Jesus had died and rose again," as I finished my story, I looked over at Gaara who had curiosity in the depths of his eyes that he couldn't hide.

"Why would he do it?"

"Do what?"

"Die for a lot of ungrateful human beings?"

"Because Jesus and god loved us, and Jesus was willing to die for our sins."

"Then… why do people decorate with eggs and rabbits?"

"Well… that's more traditional. Eggs represent resurrection, and rabbits represent fruitfulness, because they multiply rapidly."

"I see…" and with that, he got up and left. Before he was out of complete sight however, he said: "Happy Easter, Hyuuga-san" I smiled.

"Happy Easter, Sabaku-san."
