Recall: "…Just close your eyes and you'll be home. Now hurry before it closes…"

"I don't think so…" A voice suddenly spoke up. Sango turned from the porthole, only to be met with demonic red eyes. "That's my property." Before she could react, Sango was struck in the face; sending her flying across the room, her immediately causing the black orb to disappear.

"Sango!" Kagome screamed, running towards the unresponsive vampire. Her movements were interrupted when something attached to her leg, making her fall. Shaken, she looked down to see a tentacle on her ankle, slowly dragging her back to the figure. Desperately, she scrambled to get away from it; kicking the tentacle while trying to claw away.

"I've waited too long for this moment for it to be lost by a little wench like you."

.

"He's got her. He's got Kagome. You have to do something. He's gonna kill her!"

"Who?" The assailant knew what he was doing. He left no scent and even though he stabbed Sango, none of his flesh was left behind. But, with his dog demon blood, nothing was getting past Inuyasha's nose.

"Naraku…" Inuyasha said lowly.

Chapter 22: The Fight

Rage

The half dog vampire was literally seeing red. As fast as his legs could go, Inuyasha swiftly ran through the land. Before even letting Miroku or Sesshomaru try to talk to him to rational out some sort of plan, Inuyasha was already out of the castle. If only he didn't take Kagome's warning so lightly. Even after she opened up about her past, fearing that Naraku would try something, Inuyasha still took it lightly. Thinking of course that he could handle any situation, but now he was so obviously proven wrong. He was so blinded with anger, that any form of sensible action completely left his mind. There was so much fear for his pet…

No. Inuyasha thought to himself as he increased speed. She is clearly my mate. After so much conflict that he was having with himself, he was finally able to admit it. From being so close to her, even if it was some kind of a farce, he no longer saw her as some kind of play thing. He knew this for quite some time and actually wanted to discuss the situation a little further with her before this uneventful issue took place. Of course, he was still angry about her lies, but as of the moment, any animosity he had for Kagome had at this point diminished from him mind. All that he was concerned about was that she would be safe at home in his arms.

The farther he ran, the angrier he became. He started to feel his demon side start to surface, but he had to subside the urge for fear that it might drain him before he even has a chance to fight. His demon could easily lash out at Kagome without even knowing, and that was the last thing he wanted.

Naraku was a fool indeed. The older vampire had been warned not to touch his property, but this was beyond unacceptable. To downright think he could just take Kagome and think there wasn't going to be any kind of repercussion was foolish indeed. What could that asshole possibly be thinking? There must be something more than just lustful greed, but what?

Soon, the Lord entered Naraku's territory, unsurprised when he felt some sort of blockage that was keeping him from going any further.

"A barrier…" He said out loud before giving the barrier a hard punch, causing his hand to bleed. "You knew I'd come, but were you stupid enough to think this'll stop me." Slowly, he pulled out his blade, a gift from his father. The rusty sword turning into a giant fang. With his hands on the handle, he inhaled deeply, causing the blade to turn into shards of diamonds.

I'm coming, Kagome.

~.*.~

The immense pain shooting from Kagome's head was almost unbearable. All she could remember was that she was with Sango when she was pulled by something into a void. Knowing this fact made her jump up on her guard. Looking over the new environment, she could definitely see that this wasn't the Tashio Manor. This place was a little bit more eerie. She was on a couch in the middle of a living room. The fire was set and was the only source of light in the room.

This is crazy. She thought to herself. If I've been kidnapped, shouldn't I be in a cell or tied down somewhere? Even Inuyasha did that when I first arrived.

"You've awaken." She immediately stood up, glaring when she saw that it was Naraku. I should have known. No wonder why she wasn't tied down, there was no way she was getting away from him. The beast smirked, slowly approaching the unnerved girl, to which she held her hands up in defense. "Relax precious, please have a seat." Before she could reply, two hands forced her to sit back down. Looking up, she was met with the dangerously red eyes of Kagura, who wasn't happy to see her.

"Be good, dearie." She whispered. "Don't give me a reason to kill you, although I don't really need one." Kagome shrugged away from her hands.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" Kagome instantly demanded.

"This would be my place of residence." He answered, sitting down next to her, making her move away from him. "Do you like it? Just had the place remodeled. It was long overdue." Kagome looked at him in disbelief. I don't care!

"WHY am I here?" She repeated. "What are you going to do to me?"

"All in due time. But, at present, you have something of mine."

"Bull shit."

"Language." He teased, ushering Kikyo to come over. She, of course, didn't look happy to see Kagome either. She handed a bottle to Naraku, which Kagome assumed was blood, before attempting to walk away. The male vampire halted her movements. "Now Kikyo, don't be rude, we have a guest." She sneered before looking over at the tiny human.

"Would you like anything?"

"A stake." Kagome taunted, making Kikyo bare her fangs.

"Aren't we brave, considering your circumstance?" Kagome leaned closer to her challenger.

"You must be crazy if you think I'm afraid of you." Kikyo snickered.

"You will be." Their dialog ceased by the sound of the bottle hitting the table in front of them. Naraku cleared his throat.

"That will be all, sister love. There's much I'd still like to discuss before her Master arrives." The sound of detest in his voice made Kagome's eyes widen. Kikyo walked off in a huff, leaving the two.

"What are you going to do to him?" She knew Inuyasha was strong enough to handle his own, but with Naraku's strength, it might just cause great difficulty for him.

"I think it's your life, you should be more worried about, not his. After all, you still have my property." She gasped when he revealed his claws, poison dripping from them. "Now, how do I go about retrieving it?" Slowly, she tried backing away from him.

"L-Look, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have anything of yours. How would I even manage to steal from you in the first place?" He chuckled, leaning over her.

"On the contrary. Though, I have no idea how you were the one to possess it, but I assure you, I will be taking it." He reached over when she slapped his hand away.

"Don't fucking touch me!" She snapped.

"Still so vicious I see." Effortlessly, he grasped her by her throat, tightening his grip. "Before I kill you, should you experience the feel of a real master?" Hey eyes widened as he slowly

"Naraku!" He groaned from the interruption.

"What is it?"

"It's Inuyasha." Kagome's heart skipped a beat, trying to run after him, but was stopped by the grip on her wrist; no doubt a bruise will be left.

"Already…" He forcefully threw Kagome back down on the couch, releasing her. She placed a hand on her wrist. "I see that I must take care of him sooner than I expected. Will you excuse me for a moment, I'll be right back." Kagome simply sneered at him, not giving him an answer as he walked out to see the commotion.

The room was stifling; the young girl kept her guard up as the two vampires watched her every move. Kikyo slowly approached to where she was sitting. Refusing to show her any inkling of her emotions, Kagome looked at her with fearless eyes. Kikyo didn't like it, she had the upper hand of course. It was two against one, she was somewhere foreign to her, and her Master wasn't around at the moment to save her. So why wasn't the little girl fearing for her life? Instead she looked almost challenging. Nothing would have given her more pleasure than to cut her pretty face up, but fearing what her brother might due to her, she kept it together.

Rather than hurting her, Kikyo just stopped in front of her, kneeling over so that she was in eye level. Kagome didn't back away, she just remained as the jealous vampire looked her up and down with burning eyes.

"Pity…I did want Inuyasha to myself." She twirled a piece of Kagome's hair out the way. "Now thanks to you he shall die, and I'll be left to my lonesome." She traced her long nails across her face softly. "It's not all that bad though. You will die as well."

"I curse myself for allowing you to live." Kikyo smirked.

"I'm forever grateful you did. I however, won't be so gracious." Unable to control herself, she slowly cut Kagome's cheek. She refused to flinch. "After Naraku is done with you, bathing in your blood will bring me nothing, but joy."

"And what makes you think that'll ever happen?" She asked, moving her body closer.

"Silly human. There's no hope for-" Without warning, Kagome grabbed the bottle left on the table and smashed it over Kikyo's head, causing her to fall from the pain before the young human stabbed her a couple times. Unfortunately, the blade was too small to reach her heart, but was effective enough to subdue her.

"You whore!" Kagura screamed, running to help, to which Kagome sliced her neck with the jagged edge of the handle.

"What's going on in there?!" She heard the male vampire scream, from the other side. Dammit, I thought I had more time. She couldn't kill the two off now, for fear that he'd walk right in and kill her. Not wasting any time, Kagome kicked Kikyo once again before running out in the opposite direction; wiping their blood all over her body as she left. Maybe being covered in their scent will by me some time. She thought, running through the dark hall.

Naraku reentered the room. Looking over, he could see the big mess the girl caused, his sisters laid out on the floor. He should have just kept her with him instead of relying on those two. Evident by her and Kikyo's fight; but that was a while ago, surely she would have been weaker by now. It was soft, but he could hear her footsteps running farther and farther away from him.

"Oh you're going to run? How delightful of you." He walked to his sisters. "Get up you fools." Slowly, they began to pick themselves up. "And just how did you allow her to escape? Honestly, do I have to do everything myself." His eyes flashed red, visibly angry. The two ladies coward away from him, fearful of what he might do if they were too close.

"S-should I look for her, brother dear? She won't get far." Kikyo asked, wishing so desperately that she could go and kill the little annoyance herself.

"No, you two are a bit of a disappointment. She can clearly over take you. Besides, if you did manage to outwit her, there'd be nothing left for me." He inhaled the air deeply, smirking. Clever, her scent is barely noticeable, but I can still catch a slight whiff. "It's been a while since I had a good chase. The two of you check the barrier. I have some hunting to do…"

~.*.~

Inuyasha's hands were starting to bleed. It felt like hours of nothing, but him hacking at the barrier. Because the barrier was so thick, he took him a bit longer than he thought it would. The cracks were getting bigger, and bigger until there was a break.

"Finally!" He exclaimed, as he began to run through. The area was suffocating, nothing but dead trees and purple smoke all over. "Miasma…" He whispered to himself, covering his mouth so he wouldn't inhale the fumes. He looked around, the environment starting to look a bit disoriented. "One of your little games, I presume." He gripped his sword tighter, continuing on his way.

"Inuyasha…" He jumped, as he heard a whisper, pointing his sword in the direction of the voice.

"Whose there? Come out now!"

"Inuyasha…" His eyes widened.

"Kagome?" He whispered as he saw Kagome walk out from behind the trees. Blood covered her body head to toe, limping, struggling to breathe.

"W-why didn't you save me?" She asked before fainting before his eyes.

"Kagome!" He reached out, catching her before she fell onto the ground. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't let you out of my sight. I should've protected you." She gasped for air, clutching onto him.

"All you do is hurt me. Why would I expect anything less from a monster…?" He was taken back by the comment.

"No…Kagome I…"

"You hurt me. You did this! You caused this!" Suddenly, she flung the vampire away from her; Inuyasha caught himself, using his wings for leverage. Before registering what happened, Kagome's form grew in front of his eyes into a wooden creature. Spikes growing out of her limbs, trying to grab him.

"It's all an illusion." He said to himself, sprinting to get back to his sword.

"Die Inuyasha!" The fake Kagome screamed, lashing out at him. Once the blade was in his hand, he swung it in her direction, destroying the tentacle.

"All this is doing is making me angrier." He growled running towards the creature in fury.

~.*.~

Running

Through the hallways she ran, trying to get as far away from the deranged vampire as possible. Her feet slapped loudly against the floor each step she took. Sweat dripped from her face, panting heavily, she stopped to rest. She was tired, weak, and not in the ideal predicament to fight. Putting any doubts she had behind her, she continued to run.

This was harder than she thought. It was so dark that finding her way anywhere was next to impossible. But, still, she kept going. Clutching onto the broken handle, she stumbled her way through the darkness. She just needed to by some time so that Inuyasha could have the opportunity to come save her. She suddenly stopped. And then what? Pretty much back into the same situation I was before. I'm sure he's still angry about me attempting to escape…I'll be dead either way.

"Kagome." Naraku's sinister voice called out. She immediately covered her mouth, fearing she'd make any indication of her presence. Even if I were to die, it won't be by him. She crept through a door, continuing to move slowly, trying not to make a sound.

Naraku walked through the halls, inhaling the air deeply. Unfortunately, all he could smell was the blood of his sisters. No sense of clean air, or the girl's scent either, which was making it very difficult to track her.

"You know usually, when I'm given a chase. I could hear my prey breathing heavily…" His eyes scanned the premises. "The breathing becomes louder…and louder the closer I get." He looked behind a pillar, to which there was nothing there. "Strange that your breathing is so steady. Perhaps you've fainted on me." She rolled her eyes, tired of the games he was playing. What was she going to do?

~.*.~

"Still no sign of that little bitch." Kagura said, walking up to Kikyo on top of the castle, looking out into the distance. "How's it holding?" She asked, looking at the cracks in the barrier.

"He's broke through." Kikyo answered, shaking her head, watching as the crack gets bigger. "Naraku placed several more curses in the area, but still, he's coming." Kagura looked in the way of the forest, before seeing Inuyasha make his way in the clearing, running at the bridge to enter the castle.

"What do you propose we do?" Kikyo clutched the rail. She didn't want to fight her beloved Inuyasha, but the thought of betraying her brother scared her more than anything. A few snowflakes hit her cheek as she watched him run closer.

"I'd rather die by the love of my life, than to be in Koharu's shoes." She quivered her lip. "But, I'd be a fool to interfere." Kagura then placed a hand on Kikyo's shoulder.

"Inuyasha is strong, but he's no match for our brother. We'll leave it in Naraku's hands. I'm sure he won't fail." Kikyo nodded.

~.*.~

Kagome watched as Naraku walked passed the area where she was. She looked around to see if there was anything that could help her escape.

A window.

Perfect

But, could she reach it in time without making a sound?

"I have had enough!" Naraku said before punching through the wall, leaving a gaping hole. "I will destroy EVERY INCH OF THIS CASTLE…until I have what is mine." Her eyes widened. If he keeps this up, eventually he'll find her location. Slowly, she began making her way to the window, flinching each time she heard him destroying another part of the place.

He was getting closer

Once at the window, she immediately pushed it up, cause to let out a loud creek.

"There you are!" Not wasting a moment, she pushed herself out the window and began to run. Fortunately for her, it lead to a stairway; not questioning the crazy layout, she made her way up which led her to the roof. She slipped on the snow a couple times, but continue running. Out of nowhere, Naraku burst through the ceiling causing her to stop in her tracks.

"There you are." He said, walking closer. She immediately turned around in attempt to escape when she was grabbed by her hair. She cried out as she was pulled up to him. "Well that was enjoyable." He then clutched her neck tightly. "It's time for you to hand over the jewel now." He went to where it was located in her chest when he was suddenly shocked with an electricity sensation. "Silly me, I almost forgot. I have to kill you first." Kagome's eyes widened as his second hand crept over to her neck. "So sorry we didn't have more time to play." A tear fell from Kagome's eye.

Before he could put and pressure down, he was abruptly tossed away from the poor girl, releasing her in the processes. Kagome gasped, as she fell to the ground, looking up to see her savior.

"I-Inuyasha…"

"Kagome…" He sighed of relief, kneeling in front of her. She's alive. He thought as she silently wept. "Shhh…" She wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him tightly.

"I-I'm sorry…I'm so sorry." He kissed her on her head a few times, trying to calm her down.

"It's alright. I'm here now…"

"How sentimental…" He looked over to see that Naraku's body had disappeared.

"Fuck…" He looked back at Kagome, who was now worried. Inuyasha took off his kimono, and wrapped it around her to keep her from freezing. He then took out a rather big dagger and placed it in her hand. She looked at him with much confusion.

"W-what…"

"Listen to me, you must leave. The thought of you dying like this…"

"But you…" A few tears slipped from Kagome's eyes. She knew what he wanted.

"If anything happens to me, use this to protect yourself. I can assure you, Naraku will die, but the other two are still out there." She shook her head.

"I can't…" This was perfect for her. Here, they had an opportunity to kill each other and she would be free from their grasps forever. In yet, she held onto him, familiarizing herself with his warmth once again. This shocked Inuyasha that she would show such vulnerability at a time like this. Never the less, he embraced her just the same. "I can't leave you." She sobbed.

"It'll be okay." She nodded as he kissed her one last time before she took off down the stairs. Inuyasha looked out into nothingness. The elder was playing his tricks again, but this would be the last time. He'd make sure of that. "It's just you and me Naraku!" He called out, looking around. "You've gone too far, snatching my pet. This ends tonight."

"Not wanting your pet to see you die." Out of a puff of smoke, Naraku revealed himself, tentacles forming from out of his back, along with several insect legs. Inuyasha looked at him with much disgust. "How admirable…Or maybe you just want the jewel to yourself."

"What?" Naraku smirked.

"Foolish boy. Didn't even know your pet was the barer of the jewel."

"That's impossible, she's human."

"When has species ever stopped the jewel?" Inuyasha felt like an idiot. But, how could he have known.

"And that's why you had Koharu carry that fake jewel around. To keep us distracted from the real target."

"Yes…well, that monk was successful from keeping her from accomplishing her mission. She had to be…taken care of." Inuyasha looked at him skeptically.

"You killed her. That's why I can't sense her presence." He thought it was funny that he could only sense Kagura and Kikyo. Kagome can handle herself. I'm sure of it.

"Enough talking." A tentacle pierced through Inuyasha's shoulder. He gasped in shock at the speed. "You still have to die."

~.*.~

Kagome was back in the hall still running. No signs of the female vampires, but still, she held the knife tightly in case they were to interfere. Stopping to catch her breath, she panted heavily, looking up at the ceiling. She couldn't help, but to wonder if everything was going to be alright. It was obvious that Naraku had the better advantage. If Inuyasha were to die, what would be stopping Naraku from immediately coming after her? She then heard a loud roar, followed by a thud.

"Inuyasha!"

There was no way she could leave him there. She had to do something. Looking around desperately, she searched for something…anything that could help her fight rather than this tiny dagger Inuyasha handed her. Looking from room to room, being mindful of the pieces of rubble from Naraku's spastic rage. After what seemed like forever, she finally entered what looked like a weapons room. Mostly swords and blades, none of which would do her any good.

"If I run after him with a sword, he'd easily stop my attack."

Almost losing up, she then came across a bow & arrow. Some of the arrows were broken, but the ones that were in one piece looked as if it would do her well. She was a bit out of practice, but it would have to do.

"Agh…what am I doing?" She asked herself, before tucking her knife away and grabbing the set. "I'm coming, Inuyasha."

~.*.~

A substantial amount of blood fell from Inuyasha's body. This was not good. He was too weak from the journey, not to mention the barrier took a great deal of his energy. Naraku was getting his hits, and he was hitting hard. He fell to his knees, panting heavily. His sword reverted into nothing more than a rusty piece of metal. He was quite in a bind.

"Look at you half breed." Naraku said, kicking his sword from reaching distance. "Here you die by my hand. The jewel shall be in my possession, and your pet shall feel my touch before she feels my claws." Inuyasha growled as he was lifted up

"Any last words?" Inuyasha bared his fangs.

"Ya, I got a few." They both suddenly heard. He looked over, only to be met with an arrow penetrating his eye. He roared in pain, dropping Inuyasha in the process. Ripping the arrow from his eye, he looked over to his attacker.

"Impudence!"

"Die Naraku!" Again, she drew her bow, releasing the arrow to hit the beast. The arrow, engulfed in a pink light, hit its target, taking a huge chunk out of Naraku's flesh. He howled in pain; the arrow burned. The immense power was from the jewel; that's why there was so much discomfort. He disappeared, going to recuperate. Kagome ran over to Inuyasha, who took this time to heal himself. He looked over at his pet as she tried to help him stand up.

"You came back for me?" He asked. Kagome didn't quite believe it herself, yet here she was.

"I…couldn't leave you like this."

"Cursed wench!" Before they could react, they were forced away from each other by a gust of wind. Kagome went to redraw her bow when it was swiftly knocked from her hands. She looked to see Naraku angrily approaching her. His flesh regenerating back to its regular state. "I didn't know you wanted to die so badly." He threw her across the roof. As she was about to fall off, she held her hand out, grabbing onto the ledge. She pulled herself up, only to meet his eyes. "Let me oblige your wishes."

Inuyasha was boiling with rage, standing up, watching as the beast was about to kill his pet. The image instantly broke his sanity. His eyes turned a blood shot red as he zoomed over to Naraku, ripping two of his tentacles right from the socket. Naraku cried out, turning to face Inuyasha when he noticed something odd. While his eyes were red, his pupils were now blue. His fangs and claws grew, with purple lines across his face. His aura was black, he grew in size, and his wings released from his back.

His demon had fully taken over.

Naraku laughed nervously.

"So, the half breed has revealed himself to me. All for a pathetic human." The monster tried to use one of his other limbs to strike, but Inuyasha easily caught it.

"You dare touch my mate." He said, ripping the insect arm. "You will die." Naraku now started to become apprehensive. Desperately using each of his limps, one by one, trying so hard to hit Inuyasha. It was to no avail. So easily, the demon ripped out each one that tried to strike him.

Kagome pulled herself all the way up, watching in awe as Inuyasha took Naraku apart without any form of hesitation. This was the first time she'd seen Inuyasha like this, he was terrifying. So thankful he didn't turn full demon when she disobeyed him. But, why be afraid? He was doing this all for her, to protect her. She even heard him refer to her as his mate. Was he serious?

Naraku was now laid out. Crawling to Inuyasha as if trying to mustard up any form of strength he could. His tentacles and insect limbs were now gone. Blood continuously poured from his body. He was exhausted.

"N-no…This is not the end!" He exclaimed as he continued to crawl to his opponent. "I am the alpha. I am the eldest. I'm not to be defeated by a worthless half breed-" Before he could finish, Inuyasha plowed his arm into Naraku's, grabbing a black, pulsing orb.

His heart

"Got it." He proclaimed, pulling it out of the older vampire. Naraku looked at him with disbelief as he clutched onto it.

"Now Inuyasha be reasonable…" Inuyasha held it tighter, causing Naraku to double over. "P-perhaps I got a little too carried away."

"I-Inuyasha…p-please…have mercy…"

"Pathetic." With much force, he crushed his heart, disappearing before his eyes. Naraku halted his breath.

"W-what…an interesting feeling…d-death is…" Ashes formed as the monster finally disappeared.

It was finished.

The girl let out a sigh of relief, falling to the ground. Tears running down her face. Mom…Dad… She thought, her heart feeling like it's about to burst. He's dead now…he's dead… She looked up to see the demon quickly approaching her. She flinched, not sure how the demon would react.

"Kagome?" She nodded. Slowly, she watched as his eyes reverted back to beautiful gold. She smiled, running into his arms, overjoyed when he held her back.

"You are the cause of this!" They suddenly heard. Just then, Kagome was swept up and tossed in the air. The demon looked up to see Kikyo, flying away with his pet.

"Let go of me!" She screamed, wrestling Kikyo away from her. Finding it difficult, being flung in the air, again and again.

"Release her!" Inuyasha jumped up, flapping his wings to reach them. Kagome stretched out her hand, trying so hard to grab his.

"I don't think so…" Just then, Kagura came out of now where; lifting her arms, she unleashed a barrier behind Kikyo and Kagome. Before they knew it, Kagome was being sucked by the void.

"Inuyasha!" She screamed, Kikyo still clinging onto her neck as they both entered the black hole.

"Kagome!"

Kagome was gone again, but this time, he didn't know where she was.

"You fucking witch…" Before he could strike, she disappeared, fading into the wind.

"Good luck finding your 'precious' pet now."

"Where is she?!"

Inuyasha let out a frustrating roar. His demon couldn't allow him to focus. He couldn't sense Kagome, Kikyo or Kagura. He was left alone.

~.*.~

She couldn't see. The void was so black, all she knew was that there was something blocking her air, and red eyes burning into hers.

"I'm going to kill you. Kill you, and finally be rid of you once again for all." Kagome scoffed.

"And then what? Be on the run for the rest of eternity?"

"Come again."

"You can't ever go back. Naraku is dead and Inuyasha will kill you. My blood will be all over your hands and he'll rip you apart. Even if you don't return, it won't be long before he finds you." Kikyo was silent. The little human was right. She would kill her, and come up triumphant to which Inuyasha would be waiting to kill her.

"You whore! You've ruined everything." As she was about to strike, a burst of light flashed out of Kagome's chest. Being the void couldn't handle light, Kikyo was starting to feel the painful burn. Kagome on the other hand was fine since she was human, and could now see Kikyo plain as day.

"Got ya…" Kagome pulled the knife out that Inuyasha handed her, plunging it through Kikyo's heart. She looked at her in shock, feeling every last inch of the knife. "Won't make the same mistake twice." She said, pushing the knife through harder. Kikyo screamed, her entire body turning to ash before exploding.

The young girl sighed of relief. She could feel herself slowly losing consciousness. All was black.

~.*.~

Kagome let out a scream. She could feel hands on her, holding her down into place. Where was she, what was going on?

"Easy…easy…" She heard. Slowly, her vision started to come back. A bright light, a few people holding her down. They were obviously human, so she began to calm down. The woman in scrubs ushered for the gentlemen to release the frightened child.

"What's going on, where am I?"Kagome asked. The woman in front of her looked confused.

"I'm sorry…I don't understand." The woman was speaking English.

"W-where am I?" Kagome asked again, this time English, instead of Japanese.

"In the hospital. You were out for 3 weeks when someone found you in the streets."

"T-three weeks. W-what?" I'm free? "W-wait, where are we? What country is this?"

"You're in London. The United Kingdom, love. Do you not remember?" Kagome looked around. The porthole sent me all the way to Europe? "Darling…can you hear me?"

"W-what?"

"I said, do you not remember how you ended up on the streets." Kagome shook her head. She wasn't sure about the explaining the vampire situation to someone in Europe. It was a bit of a secret in Japan, so the same should apply here. "Well, I'll go tell the doctor that you are awake." The nurse said before walking out of the room. Kagome was left alone with her thoughts.

"I can't believe it…I-I escaped." A smirked crept across her face. "I escaped." Unconsciously, she began scratching her arm.
