Not QUITE sure what I was thinking when I wrote this... but I giggled while writing it so that's a good sign xD

"Ne, Naru?"

"Yes, Mai?"

"This... PK of yours is strong, right?

"Yes, Mai."

"So strong that it makes you faint?"

"Yes."

"Right."

A silence. Lin smirked at Madoka across the bed as all of them sat in the hospital room.

"Ne, Naru?"

"Yes, Mai?"

"Why does Lin feel so obligated to protect you? Is he an employee of your parents?"

"Yes, Mai."

"So your parents are rich enough to employ people."

"Yes."

Another silence, this time Madoka had to stifle a giggle.

"Ne, Naru?"

"Yes, Mai?"

"Can I ask one more question?"

"Yes, Mai."

Why do you wear black so much? To camouflage yourself when out committing crimes?"

"Yes."

Madoka let out a snort, and Lin chuckled.

"Oh, I see... so Naru."

"Yes, Mai?"

"You're not really a ghost hunter, you're actually a super villain?"

"Yes, Mai."

"... Am I the superhero, sworn to save the world from your evil scary powers? Such as death glare and tea torture?"

"Yes."

"I see!"

Madoka started laughing loudly until the door opened, and Lin smirked as Mai gasped and covered her mouth. Naru stood in the doorway blinking at the neatly made doll on Mai's hospital bed.

"... What is that?"

"It's a doll." Mai said quickly. "I thought you didn't like stupid questions."

"I can see that." Naru sighed. "Why are you trying to hide it?" He picked the toy from behind Mai's back and looked at it. Pulling the string, Naru's eyebrows raised slightly.

"Yes, Mai?"

He pulled the string again.

"Yes, Mai."

And again.

"Yes."

Madoka grinned. "I made the doll and Mai recorded the messages, and Lin wired it together." She beamed. "It's our 'Nice Naru' doll." She explained. "Always saying yes and always eager to please."

Naru glared at her and sighed. "Children." He muttered, walking away. "And I had thought that Lin, at least, would have refrained from participating in such games."

Mai grinned. "It's my charm." She stated. "No one can resist me!" She winked, and Naru stopped, watching her carefully.

"I'll tell the nurse to decrease the painkiller dosage. She's delirious."
