Basically, I wrote this as an exercise of substitution. I realise that technically this shouldn't be in English or based on the US marines hymn but I couldn't find the Ancient Greek equivalent so this will have to do. Use this as you want, use it in your own fan fiction or memorise it and use it as a drinking song, I don't mind. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you the hymn of the colonial marines.

From the slopes of old Olympus,
To the shores of Delphi;
We fight our Colony's battles
In the air, in space on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honour clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of a Colonial Marine.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting suns;
We have fought on every planet and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the desolate dust of Tauron lands
And in sunny Caprica scenes;
You will find us always on the job
The Colonial Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Cylons and the Borallans
Ever look on Elysium's scenes;
They will find the docks are guarded
By colonial Marines.

Thank you for reading.
