Stare

'Cause it's you and me, and all other people and I dunno why, I can't keep my eyes off of you - Lifehouse, You and Me

-----------------------------------------------

Maka could feel his ruby eyes staring at her. They were in the middle of class, Dr. Stein Dissecting something that no one had ever heard of.

She quickly and quietly ripped a piece of paper from her notebook and scribbled: 'Quiet staring!' and passed it to Soul. Maka saw him grin out of the corner of her eye.

'Why? Does it bother you that a cool guy like me is staring at you?'

Maka flushed lightly in anger and wrote back: 'It's distracting me.' She shoved it to him, then instantly regretting it. She tried to snatch it back, but Soul held it out of her reach. He read the note quickly and smirked.

'Oh, really?' he wrote. Maka felt her face burn in embarrassment. She huffed and turned away from him. She heard him chuckle quietly.

-----------------------------------------------

He enjoyed the red flush on her cheeks. Soul could tell she was dying to giving him her infamous Maka Chop. He chuckled again, earning and icy glare from Maka.

" Stop it!" she hissed.

"Do you have something you would like to share with the rest of the class, Maka?" Dr. Stein asked, looking peeved the his lecture of the creature's bizarre heart was interrupted. Maka shook her head and muttered and an apology. He smirked.

-----------------------------------------------

'Thank God,' Maka thought as the bell finally rang for the end of the day. 'All freaking day, he's been staring! Now I can get away from him.'

As she walked down the hall. She felt his crimson gaze on her back. She rounded the corner quickly, hoping Soul would take the hint and leave her be. 'Dang,' She thought as she heard his footsteps behind her and saw a flash of silver in her peripheral vision.

"Will you knock you it off?" Maka snapped at the silver haired weapon. He shrugged, giving her and innocent look. "What have you been staring at anyway?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at him.

Soul grinned deviously, and move closer to her, until their noses were nearly touching. " Your lips," he whispered. Maka's eyes widened as her weapon pressed his lips to hers.
