OH MY GOSHNESS, KURA-CHAN IS BACK AND SHE'S GOT A NON-PRINCESS TUTU STORY?!

Yeah. I'm back.

As for the story…

Yeah… I don't know. Interpret it how you like. I wrote it really quick, so it's not that good.

Soph insists that Kleenex is needed. So yeah, just a word of warning… it's a little sad.

Disclaimer: If I owned Okami there would be an Okami 2.

The first time she visits, it's barely been any time since she left, and neither of them can say the secrets in their hearts, but the look in her shining eyes conveys her thanks more than any words possibly could. She doesn't stay long, and leaves the same day she came, and his resolve to help her is strengthened.

The second time she visits, another year has come and gone, another festival, and she is more beautiful than he could ever have imagined. His words catch in his throat, and again their secrets go unspoken. There is still much to do to restore her home, she says, and she leaves two days later, and he wishes he could go with her, but it is not his destiny, not his time.

The third time she comes, it is for a sad reason. His grandfather, and a dear friend of hers, is dying. As the elderly man slips away, she cries, and he holds back his own tears to comfort her, wrapping his arms around her and breathing in her intoxicating scent, finally whispering his long-held secret into her ear, and she weeps again, this time for joy. "Will you stay?" he asks, but she cannot, and leaves soon after she came, leaving him with her heart.

The fourth time, it has been several years, for she has been tied up in her duties, and they spend the night together, forgetting everything but each other, and he feels whole.

"Will you stay?" he asks, but she cannot and leaves again, and he feels more alone than ever before.

And so it continues. She visits, and each time he begs her to stay, but each time she only shakes her head, her eyes filling with tears, and it rips them both apart, so, eventually, when she comes, he just stops asking.

Then she doesn't come for a long time, and finally he stops counting the days, the months, the years, and loses hope that she will ever visit again, losing himself in the memories of the time they spent together. Perhaps she had simply forgotten about him - it would hardly be difficult, for one as ancient as her. And when she finally does come, he is old, and she hasn't aged a day. They cry, and he finally asks her what he'd long ago given up on asking.

"Will you stay?"

And her smile is sad as she holds out her soft white hand and says, "No... But, will you come?"

…and it is then that he knows that his time in this mortal world is finally up, his work is done, and he takes her hand and finally accompanies her to the Celestial Plain.

…I didn't originally mean for him to die at the end, but my fingers took over… That happens a lot.

I've been writing so much the past few days. I've written like six stories and all of them are AmmyxIssun Okami fanfics. ._. I suck.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it.
