The night sky shifted to a halt as the stars sparkled like diamonds in the sky. Rydia stood in the balcony and gazed up at the stars; Memories flying through her mind. ("Mommy...Mommy! Wake up Mommy! Please! Wake up!" *Scream* *BANG*). Rydia couldn't stop herself from dreaming up her memories. It was like she wanted to think about everything that had happened. Did she? ("I'm sorry I got you in trouble...My name is Rydia..."). Memories...memories...It was all bittersweet. Rydia could taste it in her mouth like fresh vanilla and the sourness of freshly picked raspberries. "Oh...Mommy..." Rydia sighed uncontrollably and at the same time, had a strange craving for vanilla and raspberry cheese cake.

Rydia, now feeling the breeze of the night air stepped out of the balcony, although it was rather soothing she knew she would catch a cold and she didn't want anyone worrying, especially Rosa with her baby son, Theodore, to look after. Rydia shut the balcony door and slipped into her silky green night dress. The skirt of the dress only came down to her knees and the top of the dress was strappy and a little revealing. She knew it was alright to wear it because Edge was in Eblan busy being the man-whore he is and only Cecil, Rosa and Kain were at the castle. Cecil, Rosa and their baby son, Theodore were now peacefully sleeping together. "...What about Kain?" Rydia wondered.

Rydia walked out of her room and down the hallway out of curiosity to know where Kain is and what he is doing. Rydia wanted to know more about the Dragoon. Rydia looked at Kain as a mysterious individual, never knowing much about him, but she considered him always as a friend. Did he know it? Rydia wanted to tell Kain reassuringly that they are still friends no matter what and they could trust each other. Rydia was lost in thought when she heard close footsteps approaching her from behind. She felt a warm hand on her shoulder. She lifted her hand to touch the warm hand and she felt a soothing connection of some sort. Rydia knew the person was Kain. "Rydia..." Kain's voice saying her name was too much for Rydia.

Rydia turned around and she saw Kain's handsome complexion gazing back at her. Kain's blue eyes locked on Rydia's brown eyes. Rydia, quickly but carefully, kissed Kain on his lips. When she looked back at Kain, Kain pulled Rydia closer; placing his hands on her hips and Rydia placed her arms around Kain's neck as they shared a long, loving, passionate kiss. Rydia felt nothing but love and Rydia knew Kain was the one for her. Kain felt nothing but love and he knew Rydia was the one for him. They're both right.
