Wings of Fear and Love

A Queen's Thief Lyrical Gothic Poem

The dripping dawn

So gossamer

Fade to black of deep seclusion

Was it ever but a daydream?

-

Spilled blood thirsts for redemption

The night rain flows unceasing

-

Am I hypnotized...?

-

Trapped between death and life

On which side will the sun rise?

-

The pendulum swings

Tick tock

Quickened is my blood

Notes of memory

The bitter melody

Haunt my dreams of you

-

If I'm not me

I can't feel

Does that make me not real?

-

The night rain drowns the damned

You are my secret sun

Dry the sorrow of the night before I'm swallowed up

-

Remember what love is?

-

Pain

More welcome than surrender

Is that how you feel?

My sentiment forever

-

Wings of death

Brush my eyes

Or is that you taunting me with lies?

Angel feathers stained with blood

Should I expect anything less from the queen of the setting sun?

-

Terror

Dams my pulse

Life does not flow

But falls

For those caught in night's flood

Lost in love

Falling in the blood...

-

On wings of fear

I will fly

To your hell of sweet release

O queen of the setting sun

My wings of love

Still won't be gone

-

Heaven shine a light

Into the void of my soul

Or will you taunt me still?

From your ethereal pedestal

-

Damned to the dark?

I don't believe it's true

-

Queen of fear and love

My secret sun

Will you lead me from this night rain of blood?

The unceasing pain of love

Or will I simply drown in the silent air

This sweet snow of fear

-

The light will fade

From the star of your once bright soul

Your sweet sacrifice

Sealed in blood

Only your own life's lost love...
