This is a little one-shot about Alice, and Jasper. Takes place during Eclipse. After the fight. They're back at home. Alice is unhappy about Jasper getting hurt "Overprotective fool" but Alice is a little overprotective of her Jazzy too. It's just not as obvious...at first. Enjoy this little one-shot.
Disclaimer: I obviously do not own Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, or the characters...bla bla bla bla bla.
Jasper's POV.

I layed on our bed looking at the ceiling. Alice layed next to me. Shifting through visions, thinking, or daydreaming...who knows? Maybe Edward, but not me. I felt a warm, and soft (well to me) hand touch my arm. I looked over to Alice. She was staring at me . . .running her fingers over my arm.

"Does your new scar hurt?" she asked, seemingly casual.

"No," I lied. I knew she wasn't really being casual.
"Then it won't hurt if I do this?" she challenged, gently pressing her fingers to my newly scarred forearm. I winced involuntarily.

"Liar," she accused.
"There's no need for you to worry about me," I said sternly.

"There sure as hell is reason for me to worry about you," Alice hissed.
"No there isn't Alice," I told her forcefully.

"Oh Jazzy," she said, smug as she used her annoying pet name for me, "I'll be the judge of that. If I want to protect you . . . then I will. Cause your my Jazzy-baby and I'm strong enough to take care of you. So I will do whatever I damn well please."

"I'm the man, Alice," I said, "and I'll protect you"
"Your so sexist," Alice hissed flippantly, "You're lucky your so cute or I'd beat you like a pinata."

"Well I am sorry but it's the way I was raised," I defended myself.
"A southern gentlemen," she scoffed, "More like an overprotective fool"

"Well . . . if I'm not mistaken," I accused, "You have been known to be overprotective at times as well"
"Be that as it may . . ." Alice said, "I have a right to protect my husband"

"And I have a right to protect my wife," I retorted.
"Look," she groaned in frustration, "We are just going in circles. Nobody's winning"

"True," I muttered.
"Let's just let this go," Alice proposed, "I protect you . . .you protect me. It's an equal relationship"
I shrugged. "Fine by me"

And then I held her in my arms . . . protecting her from all the evil in the world.
