A/N: Can't tell you what this is about because it would ruin it, but...just a little, fun drabble. I guess post-Aliyah, because no Ziva.

Disclaimer: I do not own NCIS.

"Abby, really, this is silly, I-"

"Oh, come on, McGee, stop complaining. It'll be fun!"

Tim rolled his eyes goodnaturedly and allowed his pig-tailed friend to pull him out of the forensics lab to the elevator. Once inside, Abby tapped her foot impatiently and kept her vice-like grip on her colleague's arm, as if afraid he might make a break for it…through the wall?

As soon as the doors opened, however, she let go and took off, bounding impossibly nimbly in her combat boots. McGee followed closely, thinking to himself that someone really needed to limit their caffeine intake...

Tony was sitting calmly in the bullpen, drumming his fingers on his desk and carefully watching the clock perched on top of a pile of paperwork.

Abby grinned when she saw him, skipping to his side and leaning over his shoulder to see the digitized numbers.

"Less than five minutes!" she crowed. Then she looked up and deflated. "Where's Gibbs?"

"Went to get coffee," Tony replied, glancing up as well. His eyes narrowed. "Probie! Where do you think you're going?"

Abby's head whipped around and McGee froze guiltily, caught trying to sneak away. His shoulders fell and he sighed, retracing his steps.

"C'mon, guys, it's late. We're off-duty and I want to go home."

"Late?" Tony laughed incredulously. "What, does Probie-Wan Kenobi need his beauty sleep?"

"Very funny, Tony," McGee rolled his eyes and fell resignedly into his desk chair. "Let's just get this over with."

"You can't rush time, McGee," Abby chided him. She looked around anxiously. "Why did Gibbs leave?"

"I tried to stop him," Tony said, shrugging. "He gave me 'the Look.'"

"I don't see why this is such a big deal," McGee piped up.

Abby glared at him but did not reply, choosing instead to harp on Gibbs' absence. "He knew about this, so where is he?"

"Right here, Abs."

Gibbs' familiar voice made them all turn as he suddenly appeared, clutching a steaming cup of coffee.

He looked over Tony's shoulder. "One minute left."

"You almost missed it, Gibbs," Abby pouted. "We've been doing this for years, and you could have broken the tradition!"

"I'm here, aren't I?" Gibbs said, raising his eyebrows.

Abby huffed and resumed staring at the clock.

"McGeek, get over here!" Tony ordered without looking up.

The junior agent stood reluctantly and joined the crowd hovering around Tony's desk, his eyes hesitantly falling upon the object of their attention.

"Fifteen seconds…" Abby murmured, eyes lighting up in excitement.

And then all four counted down together.

"Ten…nine…eight…seven…six…five…four…three…two…one!"

"Yes!" Abby cheered, throwing her arms around Gibbs.

Tony put his fingers between his teeth and whistled appreciatively.

McGee shook his head in exasperation, but could not resist a small smile.

Only on this team would September 9th, 2009, 9:09:09 pm, be such a big deal.

A/N: This came to mind as I was considering the fact that today was 9/09/09. :) Yay. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, the second '09' in '9:09:09' wasn't a typo; that means seconds. I assume most of you would already know that, but I know on another day, I myself might have been confused.
