"But… but… but…" It was the first time Kim had ever seen the green villainess struggle for words, and she found it to be an odd mix of amusing, cute, and heartwarming.
"I'm green!" the older of the two finally spit out. The redhead just raised an eyebrow and gave her a 'What-the-hell-are-you-talking-about?' look. "And besides, I'm… we're… ah.. Enemies." She shook her head and started pacing. "There's just no way. No. No. Absolutely not."
"Shego-"
"-And what would this do to my reputation? Yours? We'd both be shunned by society!" Shego heaved a frustrated sigh, trying to sort out her own confused thoughts. "I mean, when have you ever heard of a villain and a hero getting together?"
"Well, Lucy and Amy-"
"They don't count. They're movie characters." The villainess growled under her breath and shook her head again.
"Shego-"
"No. No way. Can't work. I mean, you're a super-duper-crime-fighting-goody-two-shoes, and I'm a plasma-throwing villainess with a sharp wit and sarcasm. There is no way in Hell it could work."
"Shego…"
"And I still work for Drakken! Even if he's a total idiot, he pays good. If- this… ever happened, I'd be kicked out on my ass!"
"Uh, hello?"
Shego still completely ignored her, rambling off reasons why a relationship between her and Kim wouldn't work.
"Earth to green villainess…"
Ignored.
Kim sighed and decided to just let her talk, considering she was getting nowhere with trying to get Shego's attention.
She quickly changed her mind after a few minutes. Standing, she walked over and put one finger to Shego's lips. The villainess blinked emerald eyes at her, raising an eyebrow.
"Pri-"
She was cut off by a tug downward and arms wrapping around her neck, then lips pressed to her own. She was too shocked to respond, but when Kim pulled away, she blinked.
"But… but…" She swallowed. "I'm green." Her eyes were wide, disbelieving.
Kim sighed and tightened her arms around the villainess's neck. "Shego," she murmured seriously. "Who cares if you're green?" And she pulled the older woman into yet another kiss.
Maybe, Shego thought. Maybe green wasn't so bad.
