Hey! A simple one-shot concerning Syaoran and Fujitaka with a little romance. Enjoy! =D
"OTOU – SAN…"
An amber-eyed teen, wearing a green polo shirt and khaki pants is having a dinner with his soon-to-be-family. Syaoran is twenty-one and next week, he is going to marry the one and only girl he loves, the emerald-eyed auburn-haired Sakura.
Touya, Sakura's onii-chan, is eating heavily and glaring him all the time. They've known each other for more than ten years and he still doesn't like him.
Fujitaka, Sakura's kind and loving father, is smiling, as always.
Sakura, seeing Touya glaring at Syaoran, again, kicked him (under the table where the others won't notice). "Onii-chan!..." she whispered, "… stop glaring at him!"
"Is there something wrong, Sakura-san?" Her father and Syaoran are looking at her who happened to hear her so-called whisper. She blushed. "It's nothing. hehehehe…" then glared at her brother. Even if she's twenty-one, she still acts childish sometimes.
"Sakura." Syaoran touched her hand. Touya put another spoonful (really, really full!) of spaghetti on his mouth, obviously, he's still irritated by him.
"Gochisou-sama. Thank you for the meal, Fujitaka-san." Syaoran bowed as he talked.
"Don't mind that, Syaoran-san. But, please, call me 'otou-san'."
"E-eh?" Syaoran never called anyone that. His father died when he was still too young and even if he does remember, he would call him "Jiji" (that's the more polite way of calling a father right?).
"E-etou…"
"Syaoran-kun? Doushitano?"
"No… it's… it's nothing." Syaoran stood up and bowed again.
"Sakura, I'll wait for you in your room." Sakura nodded in response and he left, blushing.
"Did I say something wrong?"
"I don't think so. He's just weird." Touya said.
"Mou! Onii-chan! … I think he's just surprised when you told him to call you 'otou-san'."
"Why? That gaki doesn't have a father?"
"He died when he's still a child, am I right, Sakura-san?"
"Hai!"
"Please tell him sorry for me." Sakura smiled and went upstairs.
When she opened her room door, he saw Syaoran sitting on her bed, staring at nowhere.
"Syaoran-kun?"
"…"
"Syaoran-kun!"
"Eh?! Sakura1 you didn't have to shout…"
"Oh really? Ne, what is it you're thinking?"
"My father."
"Hoe?"
"You're father said that I should call him o-…o-…-"
"It's okay if you don't."
"But. It's better if I do. We're getting married next week, Sakura. It would be embarrassing if I can't even call him… o-… o-… AH!!!" Syaoran shook his head and stood. Sakura is surprised to see Syaoran like that.
"Why is it so hard to say?!"
"hmm… you're shy!"
He blushed. "No, I'm not! Why wpuld I be?"
"Saa… but I'm sure though!" She chuckled and to her surprise, Syaoran leaned in and kissed her deeply. Sakura tried to escape from his grip but he's way too strong than her so she decided to just give in and kiss him back. He pushed her to bed while kissing while she played with his hair. The kiss lasted for minutes and when they parted, they both smiled, panting.
"Now, who's shy again?"
"You." She laughed. Syaoran saw the clock saying 9PM.
"I think I should go home."
"It's still too early. Stay here."
"Wei told me to go home early. We're going to… do something."
"What?"
"Saa.. ja!" Syaoran leaped off and went downstairs. Sakura followed. He went to the living room to say goodbye Fujitaka. Sakura and her father escorted him outside.
"Please, be careful, Syaoran-san."
"Hai. Arigatou guzaimasu…" he blushed, "… o-... otou-san."
Fujitaka and Sakura are surprised by that word. They didn't expect him to say it. While Syaoran, still blushing, went off to go home. And Touya? He saw it. He's at the window, smirking.
