This idea had been bugging me for awhile so I decided to write it. This is my first Mcabby fic.

I don't own NCIS, sadly.

McGee was at his small apartment getting ready for his date with Susan, the polygraph lady. They had been going out for 3 months now. He really liked her but he felt there was something missing. As Tim put on his tie, there was an urgent knock on his door.

"Coming", he called at the person behind the door.

As he opened the door, Tim was met with a troubled looking Abby. Her eyes were all red and puffy like she had been crying all day.

Tim enveloped her in a hug.

"Abby, are you okay? Did someone hurt you?"

"No, Timmy, I'm fine." Physically, she added under breath.

"So why are you here?"

"What? Do you want me to leave?"

He gently grabbed her arm before she could escape to the still open door. "No, of course not, Abby."

"No, I can come back another time. I can see you have somewhere to be."

Tim grabbed her hand and led her to the couch. He sat down and she plopped herself down on the other end of the sofa, farthest away from him.

"Abby, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong."

"Abs, I can tell something is wrong. Please tell me." He scooted closer to her on the couch.

She just sat there staring, more like glaring at him.

"Did I do something to upset you? You barely have been talking to me for almost three months."

"Yes you did do something wrong."

"Tell me what I did so I can fix it. I don't like you mad at me, Abby."

"You're dating ugly Susan!" she screamed in his face. She blushed then looked away from his angelic face.

"Abby, you can't have it both ways! You were the one that broke up with me! , He yelled at her. I wanted to still date you, but you…. "He trailed off.

He stopped talking because he saw she had started to cry.

"Please don't cry, Abby. I didn't mean to yell at you, Shhh."

He was now pulling her into his lap and rocking her so she would stop crying.

"Timmy, you just don't understand", she said through her tears and sobbing.

"What don't I understand, Abby?"

"I don't like you going out with Susan. I want you to go out with me", she said honestly, inches from his beautiful face.

Tim was staring into Abby's beautiful green eyes wondering if he heard her correctly.

"Abby…but…you."

"Timmy, spit it out."

"Abby, you were the one to break up with me. It left me heartbroken. You don't know how it felt for the woman you love to break up with you."

He glanced at his watch nervously.

She cupped his face. "Timmy that is what I am trying to tell you. I-I love you."

He pulled her closer with one hand and cupped her face with the other and kissed her. It was a soft, gentle, but passion filled kiss.

"I have always loved you, Abby", he said to her adoringly.

It felt so nice to have her in his arms again. He never wanted to let go. He leaned forward and kissed her again. He mentally cancelled his date with Susan. He would call her later and break up with her because he was finally with his Abby .

Pleae review, but be nice about it.
