Um so yeah lol, this would be a Map of the Problematique spinoff. Because lol I am so original that I can't even write a decent story completely my own. Also beware: This reads like bad emo poetry--I don't do deep things. Shut up. I want something on my account besides that stupid parody.

What is love?

This was the only question Blossom had turned over and over in her head, one question she had yet to grasp. A few months had passed since the question first formulated in her head--truly taken hold of her, consumed her everyday thoughts. Her everyday activites had halted. Her mind could not wander from the prompt for even a second.

Was it Boomer's sandy blonde hair? His idiotic grin, his charming embarassment? She was told that he had been chemically altered to be more open to development. But it was still there, it was still Boomer. Even if his entire friendship with her was a lie...was what she felt around him really love?

He betrayed her. He never showed up to the library to study with her, like he usually did. On the day she needed him most, he abandoned her. Blossom had supposed it was Brick's idea, but the more she thought about it...the more she was convinced it wasn't. And the more she hurt. Did she feel pained because she had loved Boomer?

Is that what love is? Endearment for another person regardless of how they've hurt you?

Or maybe there is no such thing as love. The cruelty she'd been shown, the anger directed at her...how could she believe it existed, through all of her experiences? She loved the Professor, and her sisters. And they loved her...or did they?

What if they WERE trying to control her? They feared her. She was the strongest Powerpuff Girl...the strongest being in Townsville...the strongest being in the world, the universe for all she knew...save for one.

What if love existed? Without reason, without meaning...as if it were a cruel form of fate, suffocating her?

She could remember as clearly as the day of her creation

The unshakeable evil staring down at her, the predatorial grin... the powers that mirrored her own, destroying her...the searing hot tongue on her cheek, lapping up the blood...the unforgiving darkness in her dreams...the voice that haunted her, the single line in her head playing over and over without any halt...the hand on her cheek, the lips so close to hers, the shiver down her spine when he spoke...

The power to save her life, and the will to do so. The reveal of his plans. His motivation. Her purpose.

Even if she shouldn't...was she feeling love for Aku?

Was love the cruelest punishment...or the most forgiving and thoughtful gift? He had almost killed her...but in the end, he had set her free.

She gave herself to him. All of her thoughts, memories, passion, intelligence, power, it was his to command and shape. And she was ecstatic over it.

So...what is love?
