"So you really like past me, huh?" Dean asked as he slammed, hard, into Castiel.

Cas winced, his eyes closing tightly at the sudden sharp pain in his backside.

"What?" The Fallen Angel asked.

Dean rolled his eyes as his thrusts began to pick up pace.

"You heard me," Dean started, his eyes narrowed. "Past me. You like him better." He stated, almost as if it were a fact.

Castiel groaned. Dean's harsh thrusts were sloppy, out of rhythm. His lover was drunk, again.

"Dean…" It happened more often than not, Dean being drunk. It was the main reason Castiel chose to take the pills he did, staying high most of the time. It helped block the pain, the heartache. It numbed him almost completely.

"Answer me, Cas." Dean bit out as he continued to pound into the man he once loved.

Castiel felt tears in his eyes as he looked up at Dean. The hunter no longer looked at him when they were together. They'd stopped making love months ago. It was only fucking now. But Castiel knew, deep down, that Dean no longer loved him. He'd known it for longer than he'd like to admit.

Castiel had fallen, not just in love, but Fallen for Dean. The once great hunter, of course, did not know.

"No, Dean. No." Castiel whispered.

Dean came, hard, still inside of Castiel. Sadly, Castiel hadn't even gotten hard.

The Fallen Angel groaned as Dean slumped down on top of him, his breathing harsh as his chest rose and fell.

Despite himself, Castiel raised his arms up and wrapped them around the man he'd loved for years.

"Hmm, love you." Dean mumbled against Castiel's neck, sleep washing over him.

Castiel did nothing to stop his tears from falling this time.

As he lay holding Dean, he knew, Castiel knew that his time on Earth was almost up. They were to leave at midnight and Castiel knew he wouldn't be coming back. He prayed though, that Dean would. After everything, Castiel knew he'd take his last breath still loving the man that was about to send him to his death.

Dean gasped, his eyes wide as he turned to face Castiel. For the first time since he'd met the Angel Dean looked at him, really looked at him. The image of a future Castiel was still fresh in his mind. It was shocking the difference between the two. But Dean didn't just look at Cas, no he took in everything about him.

Castiel looked tired. Hell, he looked exhausted. His vessel was worn and beaten and bruised and even though Dean couldn't see the scars, he knew the Angel carried them with him, on the inside.

Dean felt Castiel's body stiffen as he stepped forward and pulled the tired man into his arms, hugging him tight.

It was brief but Castiel felt something inside of him change the instant Dean's arms wrapped around him.

Castiel knew that years from now, if someone where to ask him when he'd first felt a human emotion that he'd be able to tell them about this very instant, the first time Dean Winchester let his walls crumble long enough to show the Angel he cared.

For now, it was enough for him but Castiel knew he'd soon be craving more of Dean's touch.

"Cas," Dean started as he pulled back and looked at his friend. "Don't ever change." He finished.

And Castiel did something that sent Dean's heart racing.

He smiled.
