Cowritten with the Confused One, and inspired by the scene in Silver Lining, when Alex said, "When I was pregnant, I thought I could smell moonbeams." Well, what did she do when she smelled them? Here's what we think happened. Enjoy, and please review!

This was ridiculous.

Alex Eames glared out the window before finally pulling the blinds shut. The baby kicked in her abdomen, and she looked down at her belly. "Yeah, yeah, I know."

It was nearly midnight, and she felt like she was losing her mind. And there was only one person who would understand any of it. She grabbed her phone and plopped down on the couch, dialing a familiar number.

Closing his book, Bobby grabbed the phone. He leaned back on the couch. "Hello..."

She sniffed. "I'm smelling moonbeams."

Bobby couldn't help but smile. "Moonbeams?"

"Yeah, moonbeams. And closing the curtains didn't help."

Bobby shook his head. "It figures it wouldn't help."

She groaned and stretched out on the couch. "It's driving me insane, Bobby!"

Bobby nodded in understanding. "How about trying to think of something else?"

Her eyes closed. "I tried that, and it didn't work." She sniffled.

Bobby thought about this for a moment. Getting up, he suggested, "Why don't I come over and see if I can smell them too?"

Her heart leapt. "You would do that for me...?"

Bobby nodded again. He grabbed his keys and wallet. "Of course I would."

"You don't mind?"

Bobby assured her, "I don't mind at all. I'll be right there."

She glanced at the door. "Bring the key. I can't get off of the couch."

Bobby laughed softly. "I have it. Don't worry."

She smiled, then murmured, "Thank you, Bobby."

Bobby smiled in return. "You're welcome." He hung up and headed out of the house.

She hung up her phone, then glared at the window.

"Damn moonbeams."

The End!

A/N: We didn't think that we could write anything that was shorter than three thousand words, but we finally did! LOL. Thanks for reading, and please remember to review!
