I haven't written a Hameron story in a while, but I was inspired by the ep Teamwork. This is the second or third time that Cameron has left, and this show has a way of repeating itself. So I predict that before the end of this season, Cameron will be back! Enjoy this, and please review!

He stared at her as she spoke, unable to move or even form a coherent sound. How could he have let everything get so bad? When she married Chase, at least she was still around, and he just assumed that she always would be.
But now her sham of a marriage was over, and she was leaving again.
"I loved you. And I loved Chase. I m sorry for you both. For what you ve become because there s no way back for either of you."
he shifted uncomfortably. He had always known that she had loved him, but it was for all the wrong reasons...
Wasn't it?
He hated that she made him question everything he thought and believed, and she was the only one who could.
She turned around and walked away, and he couldn't help following her.
Stop.
He couldn't let her go. He didn't want her, but he didn't want anyone else to have her. What the hell was wrong with him?
She reached the door and walked through it, but he couldn't bring himself to follow her. It wasn't him. He didn't need anyone. He was Greg House, and he had always been alone. It was how it was supposed to be.
But if it was how things were supposed to be, why did he feel so damn bad?
He stared through the glass at her retreating form, then finally turned and shuffled back to his desk.
She was gone for good now, and he would just have to face that.
He leaned forward and rested his head in his hand, then reached into one of the drawers of his desk. In it lay a brightly wrapped package, one that had been there for a few years. Looking around, he hesitated before taking the package and placing it on the desk.
The tag simply read, To House, and he ran his fingers over it. She always put everyone before herself, something that he had never been able to do. But this time, she was thinking about herself, and he was surprised to find that it hurt.
It hurt.
Slowly he slid the package back into the drawer, then closed it again.
He couldn't do this. He couldn't let go of her. He had always put his wants and needs first, and right now was no exception. He got to his feet and headed for the door.
He had to stop her from going.
He slammed the door open and moved as fast as his leg would allow.
This time, he wouldn't let her go.
This time, when she offered her hand, he would take it.
This time, he would make her his.
And he wouldn't take no for an answer.
The End.
A/N: Yay Hameron! There haven't been enough stories for them lately, but this is one more. LOL. Thanks for reading, and please remember to review!
