BE WILLING TO TAKE ON THE WHOLE TEAM

AUTHOR'S NOTE/DISCLAIMER

I had always been a bit disappointed with this scene in "King For A Day Pt 2" because I felt that even with his line about taking on the whole team, Jason's character had been downplayed, so I decided to fix it, though I'm skipping the Bulk and Skull part because it's irrelevant. Power Rangers belongs to Haim Saban, Fox Kids, and Disney.

"Zeo 5, power down!" Tommy called. The others watched as their leader de-morphed. "You're my enemy. I'm leaving with my friends," he continued. Good to have you back, Bro, Jason thought in relief. He hadn't been sure how much longer he could've kept from letting himself go. It had only been Katherine's confidence that they could get him back without further fighting that had kept the former leader from pulling out all the stops.

"We'll see," Gasket sneered. The Rangers went to teleport, but found that they couldn't. "You think I'm going to let you get away that easily? The games have just begun for you, Power Rangers. Now, for a little audience participation: monsters join me!" With that, some cogs and other monsters stood beside him. He laughed.

"Let's do it, guys!" Tommy cried. "It's morphin' time!" They put their hands into the start of their morphing sequence, but were horrified to realize that they couldn't. They stared down and made exclamations of shock.

"My force field is blocking your morphing powers. You made a terrible mistake by de-morphing. It'll cost you dearly," Gaskett told them. "Good-bye, Power Rangers." Before anyone could stop him, Jason let out a yell, flipped through the air, and let out a kick, knocking Gaskett back as there was an explosion and the force field disappeared. The machine stammered in confusion as Jason and the other Rangers looked around.

"Wha---what's happened?" he wondered. Then, it hit him. "It can't be! My force field's been disintegrated!" Jason let out a grin.

"Well, then, let's get to it," he said, once again beginning his morphing sequence. Tommy quickly ran up.

"Jase, Jase, we're on his turf and we're outnumbered," he reminded, pulling him back.

"We better get out of here," Tanya added.

"You mess with one Ranger, you better be willing to take on the whole team," Jason threatened. Oh, this won't be good, Tommy thought as the others agreed. He knew that from now on Jason's attacks against Gaskett and the machines were going to be personal. With that, the Rangers teleported out, barely being caught by a cog.
