AN: Another meme prompt request. A cosplay friend and I ship Ruki/Hime so she requested a fan fic. And here it is, done! I hope you enjoy it.

Karakura town finally fell into silence. It was a nice feeling for Rukia not to hear her cell phone go off with tracking hollow noises. And to take advantage of the downtime, Inoue requested the two spend time together. Not having a problem with it, Rukia agreed, telling Ichigo that she was staying with Inoue for a few days. Not that he mind. It was weird to have a girl living in your closet and your family was… seemingly okay with it. He would finally have some of the privacy he had lost when Rukia 'moved' in.

Inoue was ecstatic. It was like having an endless slumber party. The girl didn't have anyone to carry out girly actions with. Sure, there was Tatsuki, but she wasn't girly at all. Rukia fit the description a bit better even though she had been a tomboy in her younger years. So it was a good feeling to do feminine things. Rukia didn't mind at all. It wasn't until later on that Orihime wanted to take the older girl to a food stand she usually visited.

Fall was definitely the season at the moment. The leaves gracefully fell from the trees and the orange haired girl found herself dancing along with them. Rukia smiled, telling the girl to be careful. There weren't many times that Rukia could indulge in the tranquility of her life. Most of the time, her life was less than tranquil. She didn't mind spending time with Inoue seeing that she had grown up around Renji most of her life, and he wouldn't dare do anything like this. The thought of Renji copying Inoue's actions crossed her mind. She laughed to herself. Renji wouldn't be caught dead doing such a thing.

"Kuchiki-san!!" Inoue waved her gloved hands at the girl.

"A—ah!" Rukia didn't notice that she fell behind in her footsteps, readjusting the scarf around her neck.

The taller of the two girls led both of them to the food stand. Rukia stood beside her and looked at the male behind the stand. Seemed him and Inoue knew each other, since the girl carried a casual conversation with him. Although sometimes, Rukia wondered how anyone besides their small group of friends could follow Inoue's thoughts.

"Thank you!"

"No problem. Come again."

Inoue held two buns in her hands and handed one over to Rukia.

"This is?"

"The best on the menu! If you eat it, you'll turn into a magical faerie! Just kidding."

Rukia laughed. She should have known better than to ask. She watched the girl take a bite out of the bun before taken one of her own. Instantly, Rukia stopped. Something… She wasn't… Just what was inside of this?!

"Inoue, what's in this exactly?"

"Hm? Oh just red bean paste."

And she said it so casually too. Rukia did what she could to appease the other girl by swallowing the small piece she had in her mouth. Then she remembered that Inoue had the STRANGEST tastes in food. The shorter girl smiled weakly.

"It's—goo—interesting." That was Rukia could say before staring at the bun in her hands. She would have to eat all of it or feel eternally guilty at letting Inoue down. And that was the last thing she wanted.

"Kuchiki-san?"

"It's fine! Just fine!" She downed the rest of the bun in two bites. It was a now or never decision… and probably wasn't the best choice. Ugh, it tasted awful. How could Inoue eat this stuff?

Inoue watched the girl and shrugged it off. She finished over her own bun before picking up the bag beside her.

"What's that?" Rukia questioned.

"Oh, I brought more so we could go back to my house and eat the rest."

"I—I see…"

It would be a long week that Rukia would be staying with Inoue. A very long week.
