Wings

My wings flutter and I fall

From underneath your protection.

I can see you,

Reaching out your hand to me.

But I can't hold it.

I fall further...you follow me,

Into the depths of darkness that I've reached.

And still...you try to grab me....

To hold me.

Why would you embrace darkness, angel?

Why would you want me after all I've done?

I don't understand.

My eyes flash open as you call my name,

You're right there...in front of me.

Oh. God. You're here with me.

You've come with me to Hell.

It's where I belong.

After all the people I have killed

And you have hurt none.

But still you have invaded the evil

And forced it to void.

An aura of beauty and love is around you,

Wherever you step...the gloom cannot cover the ground.

If you love me this much...

To let my evils taint your pure heart...

I will love you back.

It is the least of the things I can do for you,

And the most.

I'll hold you as you hold me,

Tight and ungiving to the oppression.

Forever my arms shall be around your waist

And my hand shall hold yours.

No matter what happens though,
