"She started to say it was cold and turned blue again, and this time she was the one who blacked out." Lois stared down at her sleeping cousin as she spoke to the people that the dome had only allowed entrance to after the "Changing" (as Missouri called it) had finished. "Why does whatever it is affect her that way?"

"I believe you were taken, not exactly to the Underworld, but a between worlds, and the Lighthouse would react to that as the darkness in those places would try to suffocate her light. Or, in contrast, it could've tried to claim the light and not allow her to return." Missouri raised an eyebrow. "She could've been truly hurt just by being there. Eris must've protected the Light inside of her."

Pamela nodded her agreement as she looked up from the cards spread on the empty side of the bed. "Things seem fine, there's a good fortune over this place."

"Still, for the unicorns to have arrived while she was in this state..." Lois sighed as she stared at the sleeping Chloe. "She wanted to be there." Lois had been there in her cousin's stead (leaving Bobby, Pamela and Missouri to watch over the blonde) and had (with Dean, Sam and Adam) been the ones to welcome the creatures. To Adam the unicorns had only appeared to be majestic, normal horses, but to Sam, Dean and Lois they were incredibly beautiful unicorns that radiated beauty and purity.

Lois had left the guys tending to the unicorns, knowing it was good for the two older brothers to be busy or they'd go insane. They felt guilt and all sorts of nasty feelings towards themselves at this moment and neither could face Chloe, so it was good that they had things to do. Especially since, shortly after the unicorns were made comfortable a minotaur had arrived. It'd stared warily at the barrier before it'd taken a step through it, and once on the other side had roared loudly. It'd then moved towards the forest and disappeared within, but everyone had known that it was only the first of the ostracized creatures to pass through. Dante and Neko, despite being the first of the realm of Persephone to cross over they'd been wary of the minotaur. Then again, they'd been wary of the unicorns as well, so Lois truly believed those two just didn't like anyone.

"Now that we've managed to kick Bobster out of the room to make hismelf useful with the others outside..." Pamela picked up the Empress and the Three of Cups as well as the Sun. "Is she preggers again?"

Lois let out a sigh as she nodded. "Eris told us that she was pregnant with twins, and that one of them was tied to Aphrodite, while the other was tied to Persephone, just like their fathers."

"See?" Pamela turned to Missouri. "I was so right! Not, uh, about the goddess part, but definitely about the preggers part!"

Missouri ignored her as she eyed Chloe with a sigh.

Lois licked her lips. "Also, Adam's something called an Envoy."

Missouri turned to her in intrigue.

Pamela didn't look surprised.

Lois narrowed her eyes at Pamela. "But you already knew that."

Pamela shrugged. "Everytime he appeared in a reading he was the Page of Cups."

Lois waited for more, and when it didn't come she prompted: "And for those not versed in tarot that means...?"

"Well, the Pages are always messages or messengers." Pamela pouted as she traced her finger along the design on the blanket. "And the Cups have to do with water, which represents the spiritual and mystic aspect of life."

"So a spiritual messenger," Lois surmissed.

"Bingo." Pamela nodded as she gathered all the cards together and began to shuffle them.

"Does he know?" Lois wanted to know.

"Doubtful." Putting down the cards in a specific spread, Pamela shook her head. "But deep down inside, I'm sure he knows he's here for a reason."

Lois believed the same. Hadn't Adam told her he was reluctant to return to his old life despite the fact that it was calling him back?

Turning over the cards, Pamela eyed them and then looked up. "I don't know who this is, but whoever she is, she's coming, and she's fiercesome." She lifted the Queen of Wands.

Lois' stomach turned quesy. "Could that be the Progenitor?"

Missouri's eyes narrowed. "Progenitor?"

"Yeah." Hugging herself, Lois turned to the psychic. "Eris told Chloe something like: beware the servants of the Progenitor. I have no idea what she was talking about, but Chloe did, and it seemed the scare the crap out of her."

Pamela looked up at Missouri. "Any idea who or what this Progenitor is?"

Missouri shook her head slowly. "Unfortunately, I don't."

Pamela turned to Lois. "Good thing for you, M and I are gonna spend a couple of days here. Not only will we keep an eye on the aura of those in the sanctuary, but we want to keep an eye on Chloe as well."

Lois nodded. "It would be nice to have you two around. We're going to need all the help we can get."

"Bobby's going to go insane, having so many people under his roof." Pamela looked quite peppy at the thought.

The sound of Chloe groaning caused the three women to turn towards her as one and hurry around the blonde. They were staring down at her when she finally blinked her eyes open and jerked a little in surprise to see those three faces. "Uh, hi."

"This is Missouri, I've told you about her." Pamela tapped Missouri's shoulder.

"Hey." Chloe gave the woman an awkward smile.

"So, you're pregnant."

"Pamela," Lois and Missouri scolded simultaneously.

Chloe brought her hand to her face. "Please tell me you haven't told them."

Them, obviously being the boys.

"Of course not, plus, she already knew with her tarot." Lois sat down next to Chloe and brushed some blonde locks from her face. "I wouldn't tell them."

Chloe let her hands fall from her face. "I'm scared."

Lois gripped her hand and held it tightly. "I know."

A roar echoed throughout the air.

Chloe's eyes widened. "What was that?"

"It sounds like another Minotaur." Pamela stood and went to the window, pulling the curtain across. "Uh, make that a pack of Minotaurs. Or is it a group? Or a herd?" She turned to Missouri. "Any idea what the proper word is?"

Missouri merely raised an eyebrow at her.

Chloe hurried from the bed and raced to the window to stare out at the creatures as around 19 Minotaurs crossed over through the barrier and headed towards the forest. "What else have I missed while I was out?"

Bobby really wanted to hit both boys over the head with the shovel in his hands, but he could see that those two were definitely going through tons of guilt and self-loathing at this moment. They barely talked to each other, but there wasn't any sort of hostility between them anymore. Instead there was shame. Neither of them could look the other in the face and instead merely communicated with grunts if they had to.

Adam, the only one of John Winchester's sons who had not defiled Bobby's daughter, stood next to him and watched them. "Is it me or is this just really painful to watch?"

"Oh, it's painful alright," Bobby agreed. "Darkness affecting them or not, those two realized they've been total idgits, and that what they've done has had consequences."

"Consequences?" Adam turned to him curiously.

"Their brotherly relationship has been strained, for one, I mean, just look at them." Bobby gave a scoff. "And you saw them. They didn't even look in the direction of the staircase despite the fact that they obviously want to know how Chloe is doing. And ever since they found out that she's okay they've been working themselves ragged."

"They're scared of seeing her again." Adam realized.

"Exactly." Bobby got some vicious happiness from that, but he couldn't be completely happy at all. He did care about the idgits as well.

Adam sent him a sidelong look. "You're taking this better than I thought you would."

"Oh, I'm not, those idgits are going to get a piece of my mind - Chloe too - but it's not the right time to do so right now." He smirked. "Plus, it'll make them terrified if I don't act right away. They'll come up with nerve-wrecking possibilities of what I have planned for them."

Adam grinned, not at all feeling sorry for his brothers. "You're absolutely terrifying, Bobby."

"Thank you," the hunter grinned.

The two men chuckled and returned their gazes towards where Sam and Dean worked in utter silence.

"I'm fine." Chloe hugged Ben and smiled over his shoulders at the fairies who gathered in her bedroom like a swarm of fireflies.

Dante, Dax and Neko weren't there, but the others had assured her that the creatures were fine and were at this moment checking on the boarder. Apparently the dome had grown exponentially and now covered much more than just the Singer Salvage Yard.

Chloe wasn't sure why that had happened given the fact that they didn't own the countless acres that made up the forest and the farmland which surrounded them, but for right now that wasn't what was important.

"We worried about you, Lighthouse." Basil lowered his head in shame. "And we regret that we hid instead of standing by your side when chaos overtook the Sanctuary."

"I'm the one who is supposed to protect you," Chloe reminded.

The fairies didn't look comforted.

She gave them a soft smile. "We'll be getting more new residents soon, so things will be busy. I aplogize in advance if things get chaotic."

"We will help in any way you need," Bluebelle promised before the fairies left through the open window.

"Well, that's the last of them." Lois closed the window.

Chloe sighed and leaned hard against the bedrest. "I'll have to meet our newcomers tonight and welcome them like I have the rest."

Lois nodded and sat on the edge of the bed.

Chloe's gaze went to the cousin. "I don't know who the Queen of Wands is."

Lois' eyes widened. "How do you-?"

"But I do know that whoever she is, she isn't the Progenitor." Chloe closed her eyes for a second, bone-tired. Traveling to meet with Eris had really taken a toll out of her. "For one thing, the Progenitor is male."

For a moment Lois was frozen, and then she stood. "I'll call the others so you can-."

"No." Chloe reached out and grabbed her cousin's hand. "I just want to talk to you."

Lois eyed her in surprised confusion yet sat down nonetheless. "Okay..."

"Realizing that we're dealing with gods really opened my eyes to a couple of things - put the pieces together so to speak." Chloe brought a hand to her forehead. "It's overwhelming, and utterly terrifying."

Lois leaned closer and squeezed Chloe's hand. "Who is the Progenitor, Chloe?"

Green eyes opened and focused on her. "Do you know what the word Progenitor means, Lo?" When the brunette shook her head, Chloe clarified. "It means

a person or thing from which a person, animal, or plant is descended or originated from; an ancestor or parent."

Lois' eyes widened. "Are you saying-?"

Chloe nodded. "Have you ever heard of Cronus?"

"He, uh, I don't remember the legend, but I remember it wasn't nice." Lois made a face.

"It wasn't," Chloe agreed. "Cronus was the Titangod of time and ages who ruled the cosmos during what is known as the Golden Age. He only started ruling, though, after he castrated and deposed his father, Uranus. All of this was at the bidding of his mother, Gaia."

Lois' eyes widened. "That must've made for an awkward family reunion."

Chloe ignored the comment, her expression grim. "Uranus and Gaia prophesied that Cronus would be overthrown by his own son, so to keep it from happening he swallowed each of his children as soon as they were born."

Lois' eyes widened in horror.

"Rhea, who was both his wife and sister, finally managed to save the youngest, Zeus, by hiding him away on the islands of Crete. She fed Cronus a stone wrapped in the swaddling clothes of an infant."

Lois blinked. "How exactly did he not taste the difference between rock and flesh?"

"He swallowed everything whole," Chloe explained. "Once Zeus grew up he forced Cronus to basically vomit back up all of his siblings. There was a war, and the new gods beat and imprisoned the old gods - or the Titans, as they are called. And that is how the Olympian gods began their rule." She took in a deep breath. "Do you understand what I'm getting at?"

Lois took in a deep breath and nodded. "Cronus is the Progenitor."

Chloe's eyes widened and then she shook her head. "No he isn't."

Lois blinked. "Then who-?"

"His father."

Lois' eyes widened. "Mister ball-less?"

"Uranus is the father of all the gods, Lois." Chloe stared at her. "I don't know what happened to him after he prophesied about Cronus's son deposing him. But it has to be him."

Lois' eyes narrowed. "So you're not sure."

"He's the one who makes the most sense." Chloe took in a deep breath. "There has to be some sort of uprising. An upheaval. Someone with great power is behind this."

"I get why you think that Mr Sillyname is behind it, but Cronus is a viable candidate, right?" Lois licked her lips. "I mean, these gods did imprison him, not Ur-well-I feel so dirty saying his name. Who names a god Your Anus?"

"It's pronounced: OURANOS," Chloe offered.

"Now it just sounds like someone with a British accent saying Our Anus." Lois placed her hands to her hips. "I can't respect someone with a name like this. He sounds like the butt of too many jokes." She then smirked. "Get it? Butt?"

Rolling her eyes, Chloe couldn't help the smile that tilted her lips. "I'm so glad you're here with me, Lo. I don't think I'd be able to get through this without you."

Lois smiled back. "I'm not going anywhere, so you won't ever have to find out.

The minotaurs were the only ones brave enough to pass the barrier that night. They stayed within the forest behind the meadow, and while they hadn't ventured forth since arriving, at times their shadows could be seen moving through the trees. Dean didn't know how to feel about this new shift in things. Sam thought it was only fair, but Dean thought that if they should be saving things, it was something beauitful and pure like the unicorns, and not such fierce looking beasts like minotaurs.

He didn't really speak his mind though. To be honest, he didn't really speak, period. It wasn't his place to. He was a Guardian, nothing else, and he'd messed up so badly he'd been fired from the post. Chloe had sent both him and Sam packing, and she'd had a perfect reason to do so. He shouldn't be here, neither of them should, but Bobby hadn't kicked them out yet (which was terrifying) and they weren't strong enough to go.

He wanted to see Chloe, so badly, but he was also terrified to do so.

Movement up ahead caught his attention and Dean froze when he saw Chloe appear in the meadow. She spoke softly to Lois, who stood by her side and had a grip around her waist. The blonde was pale, obviously fragile.

Dean hated himself a bit more as he saw the state she was in.

He was useless.

A roar sounded from the forest, and as if sensing her presence, the minotaurs emerged from the shadows. They moved like one, fixated on Chloe, never taking their eyes off of her.

Dean tightened his grip on the machete he'd been using to cut some vines down. If those creatures-.

Upon reaching Chloe the first minotaur who'd crossed the barrier lowered his head... and the others followed suit.

She smiled at them and moved closer. They were too far away for Dean to make out what she was saying, but the minotaur allowed her to pet him and the others followed suit impatiently. The blonde smiled and went throughout the group, welcoming each and every one of them, and the minotaurs, while unable to speak, listened to her intently. When she finished greeting each one, the minotaurs bowed their heads once more and returned to the forest.

Chloe watched them go with a smile on her face before she turned to Lois and they made their way to where the unicorns were.

They didn't notice Dean, and he sunnk deeper into the shadows to make sure that it stayed that way.

He couldn't face her, he just couldn't.

Chloe and Lois were with the unicorns. The creatures surrounded Chloe and neighed happily as she welcomed them.

Sam leaned behind a tree, able to see them out of the corner of his eyes and yet hidden from view. He couldn't bring himself to talk to her, not right now, not after all he'd done.

The unicorns glowed happier, more radiantly, as Chloe spoke to them. It was like they were reflecting her inner Light. It was beautiful. It made him feel more and more like a piece of crap.

He needed to talk to her, needed to apologize - even though his apologizing wouldn't help anything, wouldn't change anything. He'd still screwed up - big time. He wasn't even a Guardian anymore, not really, and it was only thanks to his own selfishness that he was still here.

With a sigh he leaned his head against the tree trunk and stared up at the sky.

"The tension here is killing me." Pamela peered down at Sam and Dean from the bedroom she and the psychic would be sharing. "Those two need to buck up and talk to her! She's going to need them more than ever now! She's pregnant for crying out loud!"

Missouri emerged from the bathroom. "Keep out of it. It's none of your business."

Pamela pouted at her. "But it's my duty to-."

"Keep. Out."

Her pout grew. "You're no fun, Missouri."

Missouri joined her at the window and stared down. "Those boys are suffering, Pamela, and so is that girl."

Pamela sighed. "I know that, M. It's why I want to help."

"If you want to help then just leave them to work it out on their own." She patted the younger woman's back. "They will."

At the sound of a car approaching, both women shared a frown and hurried to go and see who exactly might be coming to visit Bobby.

Pamela glared. "If it's John I'll kill him."

"If it's John," Missour huffed. "Everyone else will kill him."

When she'd heard that there was some stranger out front asking for her, Chloe had been suspicious and nervous. Who exactly would be looking for her? It made no sense. And yet she was the Lighthouse and all those in this Sanctuary were under her protection. She couldn't be weak. She relied on Lois' help to get down the steps of the front porch and move towards the man leaning against his ferrari talking to Adam and Bobby, the latter who looked all sorts of flustered. Bobby being flustered was never a good sign. Pamela and Missouri watched from the porch, and while Chloe couldn't see them, she knew that Sam and Dean were around as well.

"Miss Sullivan." The man pushed away from the car when he saw her. "It's nice to finally meet you."

"Finally meet me?" She echoed in surprise as he reached for her hand and gave it a kiss.

Lois raised an eyebrow. "And you would be?"

He reached for Lois' hand and kissed it as well, before he returned his attention to Chloe. "You're prettier than the last Lighthouse."

Her eyes widened in shock. "Who are you?"

"I go by many names here, but you can call me by my real one: Hermes." He straighted. "As the Envoy has yet to manifest his ability I have come here to deliver this personally."

"Hermes?" Lois blinked.

"Messenger of the gods," Chloe squeaked.

Lois' eyes bugged out as she grabbed the hand he'd kissed.

Chloe recovered quicker and gave him a small, weak smile. "Welcome to the Sanctuary."

"Thank you." He pulled out a scroll that should be too large to have been stuffed in his jeans pocket, and handed it to her.

Curious, Chloe unrolled the scroll and read its contents. This time, it was her eyes that bugged out. "Is this... real?"

He nodded. "It has all been taken care of." He gave a little bow. "A human lawyer will come around in a day or so to tidy up the loose ends, but it's true." He smiled. "Now, I have more missives to deliver. It has been a pleasure." With that he got back into his Ferrari and sped away.

Lois turned to Chloe. "What is it? What does the scroll say?"

Chloe licked her lips and let the school curl closed before she turned to everyone. "I now own not only all of the farm land surrounding ours, but the forrest surrounding that land as well. It's all been bought and put in my name."

Lois' eyes widened. "That's hundreds of acres!"

"I know." Chloe gulped. "I think this is what Eris meant when she said to "leave it to" her when I mentioned space issues."

Lois let out a deep breath. "Chloe? How many more creatures are coming?"

Chloe let out a stuttered breath. "If the size of the land I was just given is any indicator-a lot more."

Everyone shared overwhelmed looks. Just what exactly had they gotten themselves into?
