Hermione Cullen Goes to Hogwarts Chapter 35

"Alice! What are you doing here?" Hermione exclaimed as they got past the Whomping Willow.

Alice wasn't the only on waiting for the group. As they got closer they saw Edward, Carlisle, Emmett, Jasper, Rosalie, Esme, Dumbledore, and an official looking wizard were all their.

"We were waiting for you so that we could help you," the pixie answered, smiling.

"Mr. Black, I believe that you and I need have a chat," the official looking wizard said sternly, walking toward the man with his wand hand in his pocket.

"You are not taking him anywhere," Harry declared, stepping in front of his Godfather, putting himself between the mystery man and Sirius.

"He is an innocent man who never got a proper trail. He was inprisioned falsely. I believe that he should be left alone," Hermione added, standing right beside her best friend.

"You are correct, ," Dumbledore agreed, twinkling at the young Gryfindor pair. "But I believe that this Ministry offical can see with his own eye that he is innocent, especially with Mr. Pettigrew right in front of him."

"Harry, Hermione, it's alright. I will speak with the man," Sirius assured them, placing a gentle hand on each of their shoulders. "But I will just be stepping over there to speak with you. I will be getting legal council on what my rights will be from now on."

The offical sighed, but nodded, as he followed Sirius away from the group, pulling out his notebook and quil to take notes.

"Mr. Pettigrew, it's good to see you are not blown to smitherens," Dumbledore said, as he moved over to where they had dropped the rat. He pulled out his wand and tightened his ropes, not wanting to give the rodent the chance to scurry away. "I beleive that we need to get some memories from you and get you squared away to where you belong."

Pettigrew grew pale and tried to shift back to his animagus form, only to cause himself more pain. HIs face was contorted in a look of pain and shock, looking over at the older wizard, still unable to speak due to the curse that Siruis had sent his way.

"Young Alice here advised me that you would get away if I didn't do something to prevent it. So there are wards around this area that will prevent you from shifting into your rat form," Dumbledore waved his wand at the former Marauder, waving it over him. "You will not be able to shift into your form again, either." He looked down at his former student, the twinkle in his eye gone for the moment. He looked over at the Aurors that had showed up to help take Peter Pettigrew back to the Ministry, where he would get a trial. It was one of Dumbledore's greatest regrets, not being able to talk the Wizengamot into giving Sirius a proper trial. He would make sure that there was no mistaking that Pettigrew was the one to kill all of those muggles and the one who framed one of his former friends.

"We need to get him up to the infirmary," Carlisle said from he did what he could for Ron.

"Is he okay?" Harry asked, concerned about his friend.

"He'll be just fine. We just need to have him moved to where Pomfrey and I can both work on his leg," he replied, smiling. He handed his bag to Esme, picked up the young Weasley and quickly headed toward the castle.

"I'm glad you are safe," Esme said, hugging Harry and Hermione. "I'll go see if I can be of any help to Ron."

"Thank you, Aunt E," Hermione said. " Will you tell him we will be there to check on him soon?"

"I will," she promised, before making her way to the infirmary.

"Remus you need to go to our house now,"Alice said suddenly.

"What?" the Professor started but was quickly cut off.

"If you leave right now, with Emmett and Jasper helping you, you'll make it back to your rooms at the house in time to turn safely," she interrupted quickly, looking pointedly up at the sky that would soon hold the full moon.

Nodding, Remus quickly walked towards Emmett and Jasper, who each took one of his arms and ran him towards the house.

"Wait! Where's he going? Where are those vampires taking him?" Sirius demanded, moving back towards the group that was still there.

"Calm down Siruis," Harry said, placing his hand on the man's shoulder to calm him down. "Jasper and Emmett are helping him to his room at their home. Uncle C and Aunt Esme built a house on the gounds here and made a secure room there for Professor Lupin. It's nicer and more comfortable then the last place he had."

"Oh," Siruis said, nodding his head. "So, who is this Uncle C and Aunt Esme?"

The school year ended, as they usually do and there was a big debate on where Harry should spend his summer vacation. Dumbledore was insistant that he needed to go back to his blood relative in London. Siruis, having already got a full pardon from the Minister of Magic himself, basically told the Professor exactly where he could shove that idea.

"My godson has already had to live in that house with those people for far too long. There is a list of people, who are still very much capable, who should have been able to raise him. People who would have loved him and taken care of him, as Lily and James would have wanted. Their wishes were ignored while I was in Azkahban, but I'll be damned if that happens when I am capable of taking care of him," Siruis looked over at the couch that Harry was sitting, surrounded by Ron and Hermione. They were having a meeting in the Headmasters office, which was a tight fit with all of the people in there. All of the Cullens, including Hermione's parents were there, along with Molly and Authur Weasley, McGonagall and Remus were in attendents as well.

"All of my inheritance has been given back to me, plus the money that the Ministry will be depositing into my vault for my wrongful imprisonment. He will want for nothing," Sirius assured the room.

"It's not that I think you incapable of taking care of young Mr. Potter. I have no doubt in my mind that you can do a better job then most people would ever dream of being able to do," Dumbledore said, his eyes twinkling. "What I am most concerned about is his safty. The wards that we have around the Dursley's house was made with the sacrifice the Lily Potter made on that Halloween night. Because of this, her sister's house is the most secure place for Harry to be when he is not at Hogwarts."

"With all do respect, Professor Dumbledore, Harry should not be made to go back to a place where his very existance is loathed," Alexander spoke up, surprising his daughter. Hermione had never heard her father speak up against anything that the Professor had ever said. She rememeberd when she had first left for Hogwarts he had told her many times how important it was to alway listen to the older wizard.

"Alexander," the Headmaster began.

"Professor please hear me out before making a decision," Alexander pleaded, inturrupting him. Albus nodded, signaling the man to continue. "I know all about blood wards and the sacrifce that Lily made that night, protecting her son from Voldermore. Those are strong wards that are impossible to break. And I can completly understand that you don't want him to leave that. But think about the emotional toll the last thirteen years have been for Harry. Every year he comes back to Hogwarts, skinner then he should be. He's forced to wear clothes that are torn, several sizes too big. He deserves to live in a home where he is love, wanted and taken care of in all aspects of life."

Dumbledore sighed, taking off his glasses and rubbing his face. He looked at the full room, at all of the people who had come into his office for this one decision. Finally, he looked over at the boy in question, whose face was slightly red from all of this talk about him and his life.

"Harry, you have never been asked where you want to live. You have never been asked your opinion of how your own life should be. Now I'm asking you, what do you want?"

"I want to live with Sirius and the Cullens. They are my family," he answered, squeezing the hand of Hermione, who had grabbed his hand in support when the conversation had started. "The Weasley's are too, but the Burrow is more the full." He added, causing Ron to snort, smiling at his best friend.

Dumbledore looked between Alexander and Sirius, who smiled at Harry. "Then thats's where you will live."
