Another one-shot. This was influence by a joke I read and I wanted it to make it a short One piece One-shot.

"Hey Shanks!" exclaimed an excited looking Luffy.

Shanks who was coming out of Makino's bar waved at the young lad, sporting his famous grin as he started making his way towards the young brave lad down the dirt road. "Hey yourself anchor" he began his tease.

His greeting earned him for the younger one to get angry, seeing the his face turned red with fury. *Luffy is such a sport* Shanks thought as he grinned wider and looked down at Luffy with amusement as he tackle Shanks leg battering insults.

"Yoooh, calm down little lad, I was just greeting you back." Shanks began as he looked down at his nails in boredom.

"NO YOU WERE NOT!!!!!!!"

A furious Luffy shot back. Shanks gave a deep sigh as he tried to ignore the pain Luffy was giving him in his left leg. Sure the boy was small but he could sure pact punches. Not that the Yonkou pirate will admit....ever to the poor boy. Maybe when he finally became the pirate he always claimed to be in the future.

A while later Luffy finally gave up in trying to beat Shanks. Heck he even forgot the reason why he charge at him in the first place.

Frowning slightly Luffy touched his stomach, "I'm hungry."

Shanks gave a chuckle at the boys sudden realization. "Why don't you go inside and tell Makino to fix you a plate?" Shanks finally suggested.

Luffy's face lifted up in joy. "YEAH!!" he roared.

But before he ran inside the bar. He stooped in his tracks and look at Shanks.

"Hey Shanks can I ask you something?" Luffy asked with a curious tone.

"Yeah sure, what is it?" Shanks shot back lazily.

"Um... how can you tell when a person is drunk?"

Shanks lifted his eyebrows in amusement. He really was not expecting this question. On the contrary he was waiting for Luffy to ask his for the hundred time if he could sail with the crew. Giving a thoughtful look around the sudden question, Shanks started to look around the area to set an example. He felt a sudden of pride 'cuse he just founded it.

"That's easy" Shanks began.

"Oh yeah how!"

"You see those two men walking down the road?"

Shanks pointed straight ahead. Luffy turned around to see where he was pointing.

"If you or me for example were drunk we would see 4 people walking down the road." Shanks explained.

"Shanks?"

"What?"

Luffy looked up at the red head pirate blinking a confused expression across his face, tilting his head to the side.

"There's only one person walking down the road."

"HUH?" Shanks said popping his eyes out in total shock.
